Lita/Gay;

As ya'll probably already know Kingston is a HIGH fraud post. It's no secret. Each time someone comes through the embassy with fradulent documents that requires verification of information is not diclosed it holds up the process for everyone. Remember the lady I spoke to at the airport in Baltimore (straight from the horses mouth). None of you here fall into that category, but as I sat there for hours I could see people getting denied left and right because they had FAKE marriage certificates or FAKE divorce certificates, FAKE police certificates or fake interview letters, birth certificate the list goes on. I would just hold down my head and shake it. I hear one of the COs say...this is why we're so behind today. Another thing a majority of visas coming out of Kingston are family visas I think CR/1 falls under that and ladies, people are filing for their nieces and nephews, uncles, aunts (which you can't do). This places another strain on the system. Husbands or wives show up for the interview and can't the the CO what state their spouse live in and you've been married for 4 years...give me a break. Worse yet, ya'll suppose to have 4 kids and you don't know their date of birth....3 hours is a long time to be in a room and if I could have recorded what was going in there I would have. Like Gill and others have reported, it's just crazy....SECTION C is crazy.

I wanted out of there. It just makes it hard for those who really go about it the proper way. According to the lady I spoke to at the airport, each time they get cases what are questionable it places a greater strain on the system. Especially, if the documents have to go through secondary verification or if paperwork is missing they have to reschedule another date and time for the applicant to come back. You see they had to do away with the walk in appts for the vistor visas...too many problems. I think that's why I had an attitude with the woman that did my interview and she started off with me wrong. She was at the last window and they moved her to the window I was called to. WHY......I have no friggin clue...I guess I was being interrogated. Her questions were on necessary...she was just verifying information that was on all my documents. It's like she had all the questions on a piece of paper like my case was questionable. That's why I reacted the way I did. I still can't get over the fact that I was asked 25 questions in all and my fiance was only asked 1 ******* question. I know they have a job to do, but it was just crazy.

Lawny, any idea of what kind of punishment they get for using fradulent docs?

Mexico, Latin & South AmericaYardies....one minute please
I voted but it was pretty much eenie-meenie-miny-moe....cuz I really want all three. I love Stella but Myra and Toya are working on their happy endings so unless you hash more drama (and more sex!!) they are kind of worn. Ian and Melodee ended with some drama so that could be exciting.

I'm still thinking of _______(what's his name) 10 (or was it 12) inches from Shades of Blue..... devil.gif

But I know a new story would be just as awesome and exciting!!

So ---- I don't help you one rass bit. whistling.gif

LMAO Nat - paranoia complex? I don't have to worry about DJ getting mad at me for getting off the phone - the man falls asleep on the phone with me and I hang up! Although two weeks ago, I was on my way out with my cousin and he called so we were talking to him through my car speaker bluetooth - for the first time EVER he told me to not get drunk - my cousin was dying laughing, said - uh, oh - ring is on the finger - now the rules are coming! He just laughed -

Dada - it sounds like the two of you need to have a face to face long chat on your next visit - I agree with you that his problems are your problems, but some people just take time to open up to that - I forget, how long have you been together? DJ and I definitely have had our moments - and it took a lot of headbanging and some major events to get the communication flowing openly - it's frustrating as anything, and we are far from perfect - but I believe that every relationship takes work, and both people have to be willing to put in an equal amount of work - sometimes one person puts in 90 percent, sometimes the other does, sometimes it's 50-50 - But you have to evaluate if the relationship is always slanted one way, is it really the right one? I always believed that love could overcome anything - through what I have been through in my past - I learned that just cause you love someone, it doesn't make it the right relationship -

Don't know if that makes sense or not - kinda feel like I am rambling, lol

As always....well said Sus. good.gif

DaDa - You will notice that I usually don't reply to venting post...because they are just that -venting. However, I realize that your venting post almost always have the same theme. While I wish you the very best in your relationship, I'm a bit concerned. If everytime he does something or you feel a certain way, you want to break it off. The concern comes when he eventually get to the US, will you then threaten to send him back home when there are issues.

If you decide to start the visa journey, he will be your husband. You have to fight and work hard at a LDR. I know..I did it for 5 years. My husband and I set up a boundary line. Here they are:

1. No indecent language PERIOD
2. No hanging up (If you need a while to think it over, just say I’ll call you back)
3. Be truthful (if something is bothering you say it)
4. Don’t be too big to apologize
5. As the star and moon as our witness, let’s love and adore each other to death do us apart.

Don't beat me up too much VJ Yardies. I just had to let this out. Much love for you DaDa and like I said..I pray for the very best. I think it's an awesome experience with being in love with a jamaican.

Kim

Very good advice KK.

Hey Lovesponge....quick question for you.....did your SO just drop off his DS-230?? And I remember someone else was asking but how were you able to get an interview date even before he dropped that off?

And finally, I wrote the embassy last Friday asking them to confirm that they received my SOs DS-230 & if we can get an interview date and still no reply....is it time for me to write again and put '2nd request'??

Ells - all your emails should start off with 2nd request. The 1st request triggers the automated message so you need to put 2nd request right off the bat otherwise they ignore them. Yes, I actually read through that automated message one time..... whistling.gif

Morning all!

My baby is going to Denver with his grandmother tomorrow. Going to be the first time he's ever been away from me...It's only for 4 days though!

Awww.. Jaengy - the way I get through my time without my children is to absorb myself in stuff that I wouldn't be able to do when I have them whether it be going out, sleeping in, running around the house naked with the music blasting.... You can also use it for extra special solo time with your son. I don't get to spend nearly as much time with my oldest as I do my youngest.

What's he doing in Denver?

no problem...The rates vary by what you want and where you want it. The house I am considering ...he was originally asking $2800ja but my friend talked him down to $2500..so depending on the exchange rate I figure $260-75... It is a fully furnished and equiped 2 bedroom house in Hopewell...in a small little town on the top of the hill called Bamboo. 15 minutes outside of Mobay on the way to Negril. Kinda on the high side from what I have been told but according to my friend it is nicer than any hotel she has ever seen and she used to work at Negril Escape! She will be heading back to the states this week and has pictures of it for me. It is on the opposite side of the island to where Michael lives now....as he is in Port Antonio but we both love the area and he is way way way ready to leave that side as he feels his x-friends are hating on him and giving him "troubles". Just the other day he was all upset because his name was on the road.....he doesn't hang out much at all now and people are talking bout him and his "white wife" and how he don't want to hang with them....lol, He realized he was the one always buying drinks for everyone and says now he has responsibilities......

Our friend is helping him look for work on that side and I am in the process of contacting a couple US companies that have call centers in the freezone in Mobay for customer service jobs.

M - Hopewell is a nice area. A's aunt is moving there this month - when I'm there I take the kids to the Hopewell beach, where the old shipwreck is.

OK, now i am really starting to feel old b/c i can remember when Lovesponge first sent off the paperwork or i am confused! I am so happy for you and Thompson. that is the one thing that i love about VJ, good news! biggrin.gif

so true that, i was missing in action for a minute, within that lost time so much has happened but i will only share the highlights. i wish i was going to JA with honey, b/c i need a vacation or actual real sex. Ryon and i have argued, broke-up, argued and broken-up over and over again. it really drains me. this LDR is a punkazz bytch. helpsmilie.gif

is it possible to PMS twice in 1 month? they ended-up cutting off my father foot to stop the spread of infection. nice no0pb.gif i thought that when my relationship was going bad then my family or work would be good. not true. and, dillon stop cleaning, that danm house was clean before you went to the interview an i know Alley© do not care, as long as he is with you! yes.gif

so in the mist of argue'g Ryon stated that "he do not know what i expect, he never experienced a love like this before" an all this time i thought that our age difference was our biggest problem. so in conclusion to the drama this is my first LDR and his first relationship(?) wacko.gif . wow, one more thing that we have in common. tongue_ss.gif

good morning all, i am going back to reading my book about multicultural relationships! it is the only thing that keeps the voices out of my head. i miss and love everyone today and tomorrow. LOL kicking.gif

What kind of foods do you eat in a typical day. I do best with counting calories and I hit the treadmill every office day (cuz I spend too much time on my ####### at my desk...) I'm need some new ideas of low calorie food though!

It was my brother who was/is being negative. Get this from a guy who moved to Germany and married his German wife less than a month after he got there. Hmmmmm can we say German greencard? Or whatever they have. He is holding my first marraige over my head for not working out and is judging this relationship on that one. Anyways I just got off the phone with my Mom and she said I should do what makes me happy and that her and my Dad will be there whatever I decide and not to let my brother ruin my joy in my life right now. So I am back to my plan A. Of course she said she is concerned because she doesn't really know C but she said she has faith in me that I am making the right choice.

Yeah Mama - she's got your back!!

I haven't eaten corn flakes since 1973. Frosted flakes are better good.gif .

You remember the year?? I like ff better too but I'm thinking if you are eating them with sweetend milk the corn flakes taste like frosted flakes.

oh ok.. i see, will he come home right after?? what about his son? i didn't remember if he was bringing him now or later..

We haven't decided really - one step at a time. We left the K2 hanging for the bit because he was having baby mama drama at the time of the interview but I'm going to try to get the embassy to interview Jr on the 14th. They won't come together though - A wants to come first and get himself settled. Jr will come in time to start school next fall.

Morning Yardies!

Congrats Dillon on the visa....he'll be here soon! kicking.gif

Well, our day has already started interestingly. I woke up at 6:20 (I'm excited too apparently) to call and check my SOs status since I was hoping he'd be arriving in Kingston about then. Well, I can't reach him so I call his cousin's # and he answers then hands the phone over. I can tell immediately by his voice that something is wrong. He was stammering around so I nicely told him to spit it out cause now I'm FREAKING out! Seems they were on the way to the embassy via Montego Bay and somewhere in or near Mobay another driver rear ended him. The car has some damage although it's not major and he was mostly upset cause he thinks I'm gonna leave him cause he let me down. Oops! Guess I shouldn't have said "don't let me down". I reassured him that I'm not going anywhere and what kind of a fiancee would I be if I left any time something went wrong. It only helped a little cause he was very upset....my boy is sensitive! luv.gif

They were waiting for the police to finish up the paperwork and hopefully can get back on the road soon. If they can get going again, he still has plenty of time to make his 1:30 drop off appt. I'm having flashbacks to Tanya's (IW) SOs mishap on the way to his interview! So yardies, please pray the rest of his trip goes smoothly! I'm gonna go back to bed cause it's a state holiday (Cesar Chavez Day) and put the phone on vibrate in case he calls again. I'll be checking in with him until it's time for his appt now. I've already sent an e-mail to the embassy to see if it'll still be okay if he's just a little late.

This stuff always seems to happen don't it?? When I called, if things went as planned, he was already supposed to be at the police station or on his way to get his certificate taken care of. Now it'll be lucky if he makes his drop off appt on time. I told him that he can go after and hopefully still get it done and if not, we'll figure out what to do next. A so ie go! Check in with ya'll later!

Good luck Ells!! That trip from Mobay to Kingston is no joke - my butt and neck are hurting just thinking about it. It will be so nice when they have the highway completed - although it is a pretty ride going through all the little towns. As long as you're not late for an appointment....

Enjoy your day off!

Ladies - be careful on FB. My friend wrote that she needed help urgently so I wrote on her wall asking what is the problem. I also sent her a message. While I was waiting for a response...she called me. She said she is not logged on the FB. Meanwhile I got a message from her asking me to send money to her in London because she got robbed!!!. Then she got a message from me to call her immediately...mind you...we were on the phone ohmy.gif The hackers are out...

Wow!! They will find a way to everything. unsure.gif

Wow Shemmy exciting. I wonder how many who go to get a visitors visa actually get them.

I have no idea how he got one....someone was in a good mood at the Embassy. A 22 year-old single man with no real ties back to JA got a 10 year visitors visa. I called my friend in visa services to verify...it's true.

Dillon - when is Mr coming? And when is the wedding?

He must have friends in high places - he's a lucky man.
