Honey, here is an estimate we received from Rondel Village for $2300:

• Marriage officer costs & renewal certificate
• Bouquet for the wife & Boutonniere for the husband
• Table floral arrangement (for signing table)
• Photographer - 24 prints (one roll)
• Beautifully decorated setting by the beach
• Decorated Wedding arch
• On property wedding coordinator
• Two item entrée dinner menu with six side orders - buffet service
• Two tier vanilla wedding cake with fresh flowers on top and your choice of filling
• Seating for 25 with covered chairs for renewal and reception
• 1 bottle of Champagne
• Three Hour Local Bar
• Tax and service charge

That sounds very reasonable Shemmy.

Another Branbury issue - A picked up the blue slip on Tuesday. Andrews can't get him in until the 23rd. Branbury's office said they could get him in yesterday or today. He gets there today and the girl tells him that she needs $3k to "squeeze" him in. He said no way and left.

Would you guys send a FYI to the embassy or just let it be?

Does anyone have any other ideas ...i'm suggesting to him to go to the embassy and see if he can get some answers...or is that too presumptuous ?? and anyone......what is the number that my SO should be calling and asking for a supervisor ? want to be sure we got that.......what else. Pins in a voodoo dolll...........i can do that.
Dillon.........how long you going for? bring back some luck...C1

I wouldn't have him go - they won't even let him in unless he is on the list to be there. Try calling this # 876-702-6450 - my SO has always been able to get through to someone with that # who is able to help him.

Good luck - keep the faith.

One more thing culture...talking about fustration. My cousin had her interview in January and she still doesn't have her visa, because they can't find her passport. So, she applies for a new passport gets that the end of last month and once again, it was misplaced. She says she's not calling or e-mailing them anymore, because all they're doing is giving her the runaround.

Eeek....they need to teach someone how to file better.

Well I'm chatting to myself...guess I do some work.

Okay one more thing Ellis, sorry I'm just thinking of stuff.....

My SO got a call from the embassy right after I emailed them for a second interview date. He said they called to see if I was sure I could come to interview. That freaked me out because I never heard of them calling people and I didn't get a response. They just confirmed with him over the phone. Then like a week later someone else confirmed my original email with the same date they told my SO.

My SO has gotten alot of calls.....one on a Saturday.

I'm not very patient either! I wrote them Tuesday and they only answered PART of my e-mail but totally disregarded the last short paragraph on scheduling an appt. But they did write back fairly quickly which surprised me....it was the same day. I sent a 2nd e-mail on Tuesday once again inquiring about setting up an appt and they didn't respond. So, I wrote them again yesterday and changed the subject line to read 'Appointment to drop off DS-230' and haven't gotten a response. I'm wondering if I just need to wait a few more days and contact them early next week or if I should bug them every day until they respond. whistling.gif innocent.gif

Nothing even in my spam folder....darn it!

Yeah - only address one thing at a time per email. I would wait till they deal with one thing, then email them a different subject.

Woman Injured in Power Tool Sex Toy Encounter

By Matthew Stabley
NBCWashington.com
updated 1 hour, 19 minutes ago

LEXINGTON PARK, Md. -- Some sexual experimentation landed a southern Maryland woman in a hospital with injuries tough to imagine and even more difficult to forget.

Maryland State Police airlifted the 27-year-old woman to Prince George's County Hospital Center early Sunday morning after she was injured in an incident involving a sex toy attached to a saber saw blade, TheBayNet.com first reported.

The man who called 911 about the incident admitted attaching the sex toy to the saw and then using the high-powered, homemade device on his partner, according to the St. Mary's County Sheriff's Office.

The saw cut through the plastic toy and wounded the woman, according to TheBayNet.com. The injuries were severe enough for medevac, but the woman was released from the hospital Monday and is recovering from her unusual injuries.

Investigators talked to the woman, who told them she suffered the injuries during a consensual act and that she and her partner were trying something new and no crime was committed, the sheriff's office said.

That should be fine. They can at least tell you his SSN within a couple days after you first applied. When we applied for my SO the lady said that if we needed to we could come back the next day to get a printout of what the actual number is. In case we needed to apply for something before the actual card comes.

That's good to know - most of the time you just need the number, not the actual card.

The only thing about the pink one is that I wish it was just a little shorter....like tea length. Each dress is only about $35 - 40 too depending on the size (probably a little more for the plus sizes). I know I won't look anything like the slender models but the pink one is more my style. What do you ladies think?

Maybe she saw the girls name listed on Mr's docs and that's where she got the info from. What doc's are they missing - the DS156 and 157?

Is Mr out of status and that's why they keep asking that question?

Cara, I liked Tobys - You can get deals on them through Hotwire or hotels.com

A good agent that I had good luck with (thanks to JAhoney) is Marzouca. Call them up and they will get you really good prices.

Mexico, Latin & South AmericaYardies: Question
QUOTE (tigressbennett @ Mar 12 2009, 02:25 PM) <{POST_SNAPBACK}>
Hey Ya'll,
So I am finally sending off the DS-230 package today. How much longer after the case is complete at the NVC will I have to wait to get an interview? Do they send the interview notice to the both of us? Or will we receive notice via email? Is my process going way too quickly? Kinda scared by that. I have been calling NVC daily, but they are taking forever to look at the I-864 packet and they have had it now for almost a week...maybe I am too excited. And for those who did receive the interview letter in Kingston, Jamaica, how long did u have to wait? How reliable is the postal service there and if u don't get it, what do u do next? Thanx for any info. I have gone thru different threads but I got a headache trying to find the specific answers that I need, so if anyone can answer the questions for me, I would greatly appreciate it.
Thanx in advance.
Kimmy aka tigressbennet

Kimmy...I can't answer your questions but I'm pretty sure Marlita made a thread just for dealing with the CR1 filings.

Good luck.

Nat/Pen, it's $5000/Jamican Dollars which is about $56/US dollars or so.

culture, why the hell did it cost $120/US for the non-impiedment certificate. So, that's about $10,500/JA. That is just crazy...we paid $45/US last year. If you ever see what the piece of paper look like. Look like something my 5 year old son can draw.

Lawns - Dillion said it's now $8,000JA for the nonimped.

I am stumped Culture! I have no idea what else you can do, what are they telling you now?

when I call the 202#.....they Still saying no date, no request for info, just wait.
Email....they are only sending back the auto response...even with "2nd inquiry", 3rd...**Special**2nd request in the subject line.
Phone...he says he calls, never gets thru, has been disconnected a couple times, but still hasn't found out any reasons.

My guy is going to Kingston next week but he said that this week........we're both sick of the delay, getting irritable with each other over the assumptions. It's been a real test of our committment and if i didn't hear his reassurances at the end of the day, i might give up. But i'm talking thru my weaknesses, praying, dancing, breathing, working, watching fares.

Hey........Dillon...are you there, don't you have your interview tomorrow???? i'm so caught up in my stuff i just realized. I wish you the best....i'll be vibing you all day, let us hear from you how it went ASAP....Blessings on your great trod. Culture1

Culture, I'm so sorry to hear you are still working through this. But please DON'T GIVE UP!! I can imagine how exhausting it can be but you have to keep it up. Are you trying both email addresses and both phone #s?

I'll keep praying for you... rose.gif

Well, my vacation did me a world of good - I went to the gym today bc I figured I needed to keep up the activity that I have been doing the past two weeks - I lost 12 pounds in the past two weeks!!!!!

Sus, I'm the same way. When I go to Jamaica I lose so much weight.

Me three!! I've been sweating trying to drop the extra holiday pounds but now I've just said let it be - they will disappear when I get there. I wonder if it would still be that way if we lived there.

Lita/Gay;

As ya'll probably already know Kingston is a HIGH fraud post. It's no secret. Each time someone comes through the embassy with fradulent documents that requires verification of information is not diclosed it holds up the process for everyone. Remember the lady I spoke to at the airport in Baltimore (straight from the horses mouth). None of you here fall into that category, but as I sat there for hours I could see people getting denied left and right because they had FAKE marriage certificates or FAKE divorce certificates, FAKE police certificates or fake interview letters, birth certificate the list goes on. I would just hold down my head and shake it. I hear one of the COs say...this is why we're so behind today. Another thing a majority of visas coming out of Kingston are family visas I think CR/1 falls under that and ladies, people are filing for their nieces and nephews, uncles, aunts (which you can't do). This places another strain on the system. Husbands or wives show up for the interview and can't the the CO what state their spouse live in and you've been married for 4 years...give me a break. Worse yet, ya'll suppose to have 4 kids and you don't know their date of birth....3 hours is a long time to be in a room and if I could have recorded what was going in there I would have. Like Gill and others have reported, it's just crazy....SECTION C is crazy.

I wanted out of there. It just makes it hard for those who really go about it the proper way. According to the lady I spoke to at the airport, each time they get cases what are questionable it places a greater strain on the system. Especially, if the documents have to go through secondary verification or if paperwork is missing they have to reschedule another date and time for the applicant to come back. You see they had to do away with the walk in appts for the vistor visas...too many problems. I think that's why I had an attitude with the woman that did my interview and she started off with me wrong. She was at the last window and they moved her to the window I was called to. WHY......I have no friggin clue...I guess I was being interrogated. Her questions were on necessary...she was just verifying information that was on all my documents. It's like she had all the questions on a piece of paper like my case was questionable. That's why I reacted the way I did. I still can't get over the fact that I was asked 25 questions in all and my fiance was only asked 1 ******* question. I know they have a job to do, but it was just crazy.

Lawny, any idea of what kind of punishment they get for using fradulent docs?
