offtopic45vn.gif I need some opinions - Anthony and I have been discussing Jr flying here (WHEN he ever gets that visa). I was planning on going down to get him, but A says that he can/will fly here by himself - said it makes no sense in spending that extra money (which we don't really have) for my ticket. He is 11 so definitely not a baby, but has never flown before - let alone left Jamaica.

And of course on the Today show this morning there was a story about Continential Airlines sending an 8 year old and a 10 year old on the wrong flight - two separate incidences.

I would have been pissed too - I deal with that all the time, my Mom will throw out stuff that she doesn't think I want - But then she'll dig out a container of pesto that is THREE MONTHS past the expiration, and think she's gonna make dinner with it?

On a positive note for me - Mom left for Texas this am - 5 whole days of peace and quiet!!

Ewww......

Morning yardies! Thanks for all the well wishes for A's interview. I have been up since 6 AM staring off in the dark. I'm ready for the phone to ring. Why didn't you guys tell me that this is so nerve wracking? I guess because you guys are there with them huh? I'm in a lot of pain right now...but I'm trying to follow the directions on the meds for every 8 hours...I took them last night around 11 so I guess it's time now. I didn't want to be drowsy and half asleep when he calls...but I guess I have to take them.

DaDa...he wouldn't require me to trade another important relationship for ours...so that won't be a problem. LOL. I have to get up and try to get around because it makes the pain more manageable...if my body doesn't stiffen up. I should have stayed at my friend's house though because I'm home alone all day and I still can't do a lot of things.

I tried to open a pill bottle yesterday and I did something wrong with my head because I experienced the worst pain in my neck and shoulder that I could ever dream of. A was yelling in the phone trying to find out if I was okay because I just started screaming and crying.

Come on phone ring...it's 9 AM now...how long will this take?

Awww Girl...you have to take each move very slow and calculating till your body heals better.

Try to find something to keep you mind busy till he calls. Was he in Kingston last night or did he have to drive down this morning? Remember he's an hour behind --- and that embassy can be slow as rass.

Glad you enjoyed it - I have been really impressed by Kenyatta - each time I have seen him he has come more into his own, and it amazes me that he never tried to sing before his Dad passed - I think he's going to be a stronger force in music than his Dad was -

I was very impressed as well. It was the perfect setting in a garden terrace with about 50 people there so you could really see everyone and practically felt like you were on stage with them. Corey Harris started the set in very low key, true roots style reggae, but when Kenyatta and Culture started jamming everyone was on their feet! He ran the whole show so he has stepped right into his Dad's shoes but he talked about him alot through the whole thing and even introduced his mom.

You should've seen our faces when we walked into the rest - I was excited cuz they had patties and Gizzada and carrott-mango juice. I have a question....How would you feel if your SO wants to have nothing to do with your part of the family...and your family did nothing to him to show that they have anything against him...but your SO said he "feels" it and doesn't have to see it...and then says that sometimes he wished they lived far away from your family so they don't have to see their baby..... huh.gif wow.gif

Any response will be highly appreciated...Thanxs luv.gif

StoneLove I have been through this before and it isn't easy. What my ex didn't like was always going over there to hang out all the time. I am close to my family so I never even thought he might have a problem with this...he wasn't around his family much so this was hard on him. What I did is if I wanted to hang out with my family I would just go but on holidays and big events I would expect him to go. I could tell he wasn't comfortable and my parents never said or did anything to him either to show they had anything against him. Don't take it personal but do let him know that this is your family and they aren't going anywere.

I agree with Dillon here. Within a couples weeks of being here A said the same thing about my mother - he doesn't like her and she doesn't like him. I just let it rest because there wasn't anything that happened with either of them for him to come to that conclusion. If we are hanging out there, I always invite him to go - it's his choice to go or not. But if it's a holiday or something, I expect him to go.

I remember you posted awhile ago that your mom did everything for/with you until your hubby came here. Perhaps he is feeling like she or your family is too much into your marriage. There is a fine line there of support and interference. See if you can get him to talk about what really is bothering him about your family. Just my 2 cents...

In prior years, obtaining the I-551 stamp was standard procedure, as green card production often took many months. The need to do so, yet again, appears to be a temporary inconvenience. There is no fee involved in requesting an Infopass appointment or I-551 stamp, although any time needed away from work may be inconvenient or difficult for some. We at the Murthy Law Firm appreciate the information provided by the USCIS regarding these anticipated delays, so that our readers can plan accordingly and not be alarmed by a delay in obtaining the physical card.

I was reading this thinking the USCIS is really nice ....but then I see it didn't come from them. rofl.gif

I have to say T's dad was jerk. I really didnt think I could do better.. he was tall, gorgeous. I didnt have much in the way of self esteem. But my getting pregnant wasnt planned. But I was in a place where I could afford having the baby, and in my heart I knew I wanted it. I knew my relationship with her dad wouldnt last. We didnt get married, thank goodness.
"All things happen for a reason", applied to me here... Tierra gave me the strength to get the heck out. And now I have Louis! I truly beleive all the events of my life have led up to where I am now. And if I didn't go down the path I did I wouldn't yet have met Louis. :-)

I agree - I believe the same. Everything that happen was supposed to have happened to me....and I know I wouldn't have learned the lessons that I have without it.
