Hey philly,

Thanks girl. I know and on Mother's Day. sad.gif I was with my mom and kids walking around Franklin Mills. After that long walk in my shoes, I guess my feet got tired and gave out. I fell hard on my knee and elbow so they still hurt and I noticed some swelling and bruising but nothings broken. I also hit my face on a bin but thankfully it didn't scrap and it's not bruising. Luckily noone was around to witness it but a store clerk and she was just worried about not getting sued. But, it was classic. I think one of my kids tripped me whistling.gif but I'm sure I'll be ok.

Wow!! Glad you are okay. I always blame it on the carpet that trips me.

Sus, I love going to plays and the Phantom of the Opera is my favorite, although I only have it on DVD and the soundtrack CD. I can’t wait to go see the actual play in person one day. Did they do the chandelier drop? I heard they do that where they have a pretend chandelier drop for the audience, so the audience becomes part of the play, same as in the movie.

Yes, they did the chandelier drop - I had seen it on Broadway - this was good, but the sound needed to be louder cause it was hard to hear some of it. It was funny - it was one of my friend's bdays, and that's what she wanted to do - I had seen the play and loved it - our other friends had never seen it, and they hated it - They told my friend that hope she enjoyed her Bday gift, but she had to live another 35 years before they would agree to give her another one like that!

This is definitely one of those were you either love it or hate it. I have never seen it as everytime it's around no one ever wants to go. But it's on my bucket list - even if I have to take the trip to Broadway by myself.

Morning all and happy Belated Mothers' day to the mommies!

I did not touch a computer all weekend
- I was partying, lol - Went to see my friends play Friday, then Sat night we went to see Phantom of the Opera and then to see another friends' band play - Sunday I cooked lobsters for Mothers Day - the whole family came over, including Teagan, the new addition - she's so cute, and really smart - took her out the porch door to the back yard once, when she had to go again she ran right to the sliding door.

Ditto what Sus said up to the partying. Since it was great weather here this weekend my kids and I did tons of chores around the yard, cleaned the house and my son scrubbed the winter season out of the car. I cleaned out 3 bags of stuff from my closet and dresser so A could at least have a section and two drawers.

I have been really hush about Anthony coming to my kids and family until I was sure. I told my kids on Saturday and my daughter has asked me at least a dozen times "is he really coming?? I'm so excited - I can't wait." As if the wait isn't hard enough - lol. We went grocery shopping on Saturday and she had to pick up lots of extras "cuz she knows he would like those".

Thanks for responding to my questions... I know we have until December for her to use the K2 but my worry is, we would have to wait until about September or November to get it issued since we are hoping to bring her back with us in February. But, who will go to the embassy for the appt, I don't know if we will be able to do another trip there in Sept or Nov. I wonder if baby-madda would go huh.gif cause that's all they really need is her permission!

You just gotta be careful P, cuz her visa needs to be completed before the 1 year is up - timing will be chancy with the embassy.

Ok I have a question, hubby is going to do the passport for his daughter, and according to her mom she wont let her come this year. Does anyone know if the K2 visa is the same as the K1, like if we went to the embassy and got it, will she have 6 months to travel on it?

since we already file for AOS would it be possible to wait until we file for ROC to do her AOS so we wouldnt have to do an ROC for her too?

Portland - he has 1 year from his visa to get her completed, and then she has 6 months from when her visa is issued to enter the US.

On the packet 3 cover sheet it says 142 Old Hope Road, Kingston 6. In the letter it says the DS230 must be returned to this office before interview can be scheduled.....

My mind is going a hundred miles per hours about the whole visa situation. I honestly never cared that he needed a greencard as long as he loved me too. So know that I’ve emailed the folks at the USCIS I’m having doubts. I don’t know if I believe that his cheating shows he was a fraud in the marriage.

Morning all - Glad to hear you aren't feeling too bad, Nat - I remember having that done - two were easy, two were awful!

I was browsing through my emails this am, and I get these emails with new matches from a dating site I joined years and years ago - I have marked them as junk, but they always land back in my inbox - Today I read it, and thought this was one of the funniest and creative introductions:

Looking for a relationship WITH strings. It’s those connections that make a relationship full, enticing, and gives it staying power. But lets keep the tangles and knots to a minimum, I'm not looking to jump in both feet first, casual and easy is a good place to start. Oh, and while I’m working on contrary stereotypes, I’m not really looking for Ms Right either. Ms Nearly There is probably perfect; Give me the quirks and idiosyncrasies that give some depth of character over perfect every time! If I found Ms. Right, what would be left to explore? That said, issues, and any baggage larger than a carry-on should be checked at the door.

Make me laugh and I’ll share my worst puns with you. I’m a whirlwind in the kitchen, cooking with me is never quiet, or boring. I’m the go-to guy if you want large glasses of BIG red wine and dancing to the Talking Heads, (with the volume at 11), all while chopping basil for fresh pesto. Be active and open to new experiences and people. Find a sunny day and we have to get outside, let the dog have the couch! Summer finds me sailing, riding, playing tennis and finding great outdoor concerts. In the winter, well I've finally traded my skis for a snowboard - full time. Year round I play tennis and travel; a lot. And if you can dance the Argentine Tango, we'll never be at a loss for a Saturday night date!

Passionate about life and all it has to offer, I am well educated, confident, imaginative and subtle when required. I know what I desire and don’t hesitate to take charge when needed. If looks are important, (and they always seem to be), I am easy on the eyes, 6’3” and in fit shape at 205 lbs. Clean-shaven, (from chin to top), I have broad shoulders, long legs and no love handles. Not ripped, just nicely proportioned.

We all need to take more time to play, to be a bit more carefree and to allow ourselves to be what we desire. I want people in my life who truly know that life is about passions, going after your dreams and surrounding yourself with others who feel the same way. I've lived around the world, and I've been around the block, and I think I'm finally getting wise enough to know what really counts. I've got a profession I love, but it doesn't rule my life, or my time. My glass is nearly full, but its time to get a bigger glass, with room for two.

Love and relationships make demands, they take work, and effort. My sleeves are rolled up.

But then they switched to the left hand and it was fine. When they woke me up afterwards, the only pain I felt was in my right hand. Mouth still numb, so I can't speak clearly. I didn't know in advance that I could drink liquids only for 2 days. I had a whole menu planned with creamy spinach soup & protein shakes with strawberries blended in. They said no spinach in the soup and no strawberries in the protein shake (cause of the seeds).

I look hideous with this contraption around my face. I'll probably post a picture on Facebook.

On a positive note, I hope to lose a couple of lbs from this experience!

In prep for getting my wisdom teeth removed, I bought the ingredients to make soft foods to eat. I went ahead and made some soup already, so I won't have to cook it tomorrow. I must say, this is the most delicious quick soup I've ever had! And it took less than 10 minutes to prepare!

1 can low sodium chicken broth
1 package frozen spinach
1/3 lb dill cheddar cheese, cubed

I boiled the broth, added the spinach & let it cook for 5 minutes. Then put stove on low & added the cheese. I added various seasonings & fresh basil leaves just before removing it from the stove. Creamy & delicious! yes.gif

I plan to make the same soup again when this runs out, but with broccoli instead of spinach.

That does sound good Nat! You have quite the creative cooking thumb. good.gif

Don't plan anything until he has it - we have been waiting 19 days to get A's back from the embassy.

Why is that?

Cuz she is filing for a fiance, not a husband.

hello everyone. i have not been on for awhile because me and husband are having problems. We are on the verge of getting divorced. About a month ago i got a phone call from a girl he has been seeing since last september. he began seeing when i went to atlanta to spend some time with his mother because i needed with the baby. I was depressed at that time and he wouldn't help me with the baby so when she ask to come i said. Now i jus found out that he has another girl in jamaica who he is planning to visit in the summer. After the girl called he beg me stay and try to work it out but there is just so much i can take and no more. I just filed to remove the condition on my visa but i don't want to be here anymore. he is saving up his money for when he goes to jamaica so they can have a good time while me and his child is here without money. i have beeen trying to go into a shelter because i have no family here to take me in nad can't afford the ticket to go home and he won't buy it. he says if i take the baby and leave i must not call for anything. I am jus sick of him and want to get out. help

Jodi, listen! Get the conditions remove first. Go spend sometime with the mother and try and get even a part-time job. Going back to Jamaica is a deeper risk for you right now, people will put you in emotional stress by saying things about you that is not true eg. Is deport dem deport har.....she bad, suh di man run har outta America, she ni nuh wha nutten in life etc. which you know you will be innocent which will lead to more stress. Things are rockier in JA right now with everything skyrocketing in price etc. Its everyman for himself, you cannot depend on family down there.

I always tell the ladies to be on the watch out for themselves being use for a greencard....but this time after yu straight, move on, work for you and your baby. Bring the man to child-support court. Don't sit down and bawl wanting to give up, you have more opportunity here.

Put yu foot down.

This Shawn is a keeper.

No, we did not get married there. I will be filing for the fiance' visa in the next month.

The rings are actually Christian chastity rings, they say "true love waits".

We are wearing them as a promise ring of sorts smile.gif

So let me share a little of my story with unno... blush.gif

One of the very first things we connected on was that we both lost our mothers as teenagers. He was 18, I was 19, we were both the babies of the family and both of our mothers loved us the best. We were spoiled with love all our young lives and then had that love ripped from us as we entered adulthood....

A curse and a blessing so it seems, we were made to know what truly matters in life very young and as such, we don't sweat the small stuff. Love and life are precious and we both know how much.

I have asked him to tell me about her and then sat while he talked for the better part of an hour describing a woman I admire so much. To have raised such a fine young man in such hard times with so much to deal with she had to have been a pillar of strength.

_____________________________________________________________________________

So Sunday before last, his family came with him to get me at the airport and they took me home...

Up, up into the hills and straight to the house he was born in. He took my hand and he led me back behind the house to his mother's grave. "Momma" he says.. "I brought someone I want you to meet"

I greeted her with such love in my heart and I thanked her for loving him so much.

This is the most touching moment of my life.

That he took me to HER first makes me know how much he loves me, because I know how much he loved her...

heart.gif

No one will ever understand what passed between us that day and no one needs to...

"Momma" is the core of us, and the core of our love for each other.

I chose to walk in faith with eyes wide open...
I chose to accept that we are both human and we will make mistakes...
I chose to believe that no matter what mistakes we make, if we both want to make it work, we will...

We have been reading a chapter or two of this book every day...

Anyone interested in making a marriage stronger may want to take a look. Words are powerful yes.gif

I'm finally motivitated. I went to see a holistic nutritionist to get some natural foods ideas and receipes.

Wow Shemmy - that's being prepared!! Good for her.

QUOTE (JAPrincess @ Apr 29 2009, 01:49 PM) <{POST_SNAPBACK}>
I keep coming back to my own gut. So many times in the past I have been in a relationship and had that "feeling" in the pit of my stomach. And that "feeling" has proven right every time.

In all my years of going to Jamaica and seeing stories on the internet about people getting used and hurt. My eyes are wide open, and I appreciate the honesty of the posters here who have also seen this despite the harshness in which the truth is told.

None of those things come into play when I hear the sincerity in his voice. When I see the love and the joy in his eyes. When I set my clock by him and know without a doubt, that he will call when he says he will.

Yes, I will truly never know him until he is here, or I am there and we live day in and day out.

BUT my gut knows... my gut knows that his love is real, and if one day his mind changes and he walks out...

Well, I pray I can be thankful for the happiness he did give me. Sometimes happiness can be hard to come by, and I take a chance on happiness today, with hope in my heart.

I wish for a lifetime of happiness and yet I give thanks for just a second.

With all the pain I have endured, I know that should this fail, I will go on, and I will find happiness again...

Well said Princess!!
