They want to know if I want to leave on the 22nd instead of the 21st that would be fine but I can't leave a day later because I have to do preop stuff for my surgery on the 22nd and then the surgery is on the 23rd. The "IT" person for our department just sent me an email about fixing someone's computer and handling a problem for them, because she's working from home the rest of the week (hello, it's Tuesday) and will be in and out with appointments - So in other words, I am supposed to do her job so that she can live her normal life - I just replied basically telling her that it's her job, not mine, I don't have time to do it - and blind copied my manager on it - Enough!

What a lovely start to my day - NOT!

I talked to Sunny last night and she said it was hot and humid. Anything is going to feel better than what we have here! 34 degrees and frost - I almost fell on my butt when I stepped onto the porch this morning.

We had a visit from a boss higher up on the totem pole yesterday. After one day of warning and two car rides of hearing my friend basically whine about the visit, it turned out to be an okay day. She was personable, funny, and the best part is, she pretty much left us alone. I kept telling my friend that if she was a total #######, I would pick up my purse and just walk out. I'm not stressing about a part-time job anymore. I'm there because I feel an obligation to my manager cause she is a friend and I love and respect her. But, it's not life or death. When I feel it's time to go, it will be the right time.

It's pretty easy to deal with something when you just don't care all that much anymore.

As it turned out, we had an awesome day, meeting all our goals and no one bothered us. It could not have been better.

It's funny how sometimes things work out better when you don't put much thought or effort into them.

Me too. Unfortunately, my week never seems to end.
