Clairey I must say I am very proud of Mike..mi fren always tellmi seh wah a fi yuh cyaan be fo nobody else smile.gif ., Yes, take your time go in with a level head about the future. After Thanksgiving and ur trip is over maybe un can invite him up for the x-mas holidays and ring in the New Year together? I believe it is cause of hs adjustment why he was having second thoughts. Give it a go I say good.gif

Yes, Kimmy, the adjustment has really been hard on him. He wrote to me and explained to me how he felt. He is used to being the "man" and taking charge and he told me that he was afraid of me and how grounded I was and he was coming with nothing and had nothing to offer. He was used to being in chage and now he has to be dependent on others for even a haircut. He apologised for hurting and disappointing me and realized that I am a fair person who see my partner as my equal no matter what they bring into the relationship. He is telling me how much he loves and does not want to lose what we have and he will try to be the person that I fell in love with. This is the first time since I visited him in May that he has told me how he really feels about me. I am taking it easy and one day at a time and see how things work themselve out. I don't want to loose what we have and I really put a lot into this relationship with him. I just hope and pray that it work out for me.

How old is Mike? Sounds like he and A are brothers/uncles/cousins......... whistling.gif

Anyway guys, Mike and I have been talking and he and I are trying to work things out. We talked about getting back together and taking it slowly. I told him that we should try to work things out and maybe start the new year off together.

Well, this morning he called me and told me he was ready to come back. I asked him if he was coming to visit or to stay and he said to stay. I asked him when he said in about a week or two. I told him that I was not ready because I have plans to be out of town for thanksgiving. I truely am not ready psychologically and put the thought of him coming here anytime soon in the back of my head. Right now I am just taking things one day at a time and see if things can be worked out. I am going to try and delay his returning because I am not ready.

What do you guys thinks about this???

Well Clairey, you already know my story so you probably know what I will say. Just dig deep down inside of yourself and you will feel what the right answer is. Perhaps he can come up for a short visit and then you guys figure it out from there. It is easy to think one way is the solution, but once you are together everything becomes more clear.

Sometimes these guys have to take the bumpy road before they can see things clearly..... rose.gif Sounds like the shock of everything was more than he could handle right off. Glad he is coming around...but hopefully not too late.

Im looking forward to some patties...MMM... some blue mountain coffee ,and ackee and saltfish and some festival or is it fried dumpling...MMMM... no callaloo, didnt look very tasty to me, no boiled banana and yam( yuck)

Me too! Sunny let me know that Mother's is 5 steps away from Sandcastles so I could actually eat patties every day. I'm thinking other than patties, I'm going to stick with veges this time. I just waste the meat because I can't handle picking it off the bone. no0pb.gif Callaloo is very similar to spinach. Festival and fried dumpling are different, but both really good. I eat alot of plaintain and bammy and festival - and amazingly still lose weight when I'm there!

Oh, I can taste breakfast right now, some fried fritter saltfish, w/coffee and slices of mango. They say it is HOT down there right now. Rain showers everyday, so don't be looking forward to be cute everyday.

Sunny said no rain in Ochi today. Pure sunshine in Hanover today too. But I heard Kingston got rained on.

Islandwoman, are you coming into Kingston? My understanding right now is that it's not so busy in JA, so Custom should be a breeze. It should take about 45 mins or less.

No, Mobay this time. I forgot you go to Kingston. headbonk.gif
