K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Process & ProceduresHow do you deal with loneliness?
Loneliness...hard to cope with in general...not a minute goes by when I am not thinking of Chris. Sad to say...a little sappy, but honestly I can be talking about something at work and I will use him in the conversation or imagine him doing this with me or what ever. I always wonder if people are as sappy as me or if I am driving others crazy?!?

I'd say that I am one of the lucky ones out there. I get to see Chris every 6-8 weeks. So complaining is something I shouldn't do very often compared to some of the stories you all have.

I love to cook...so lately I have been planning meals and day dreaming about things I might cook when Chris is here the next time. Or like today I am planning a short hiking trip for while here is here next.
We text throughout the day...then catch up on Skype later in the evening.

What gets me the most..when I feel the most loneliness, is at night right before I drift to sleep. When he isn't their beside me. Reading our books together..maybe touching feet...waiting for that moment when we turn the lights off and he kisses me good night. That is when I am lonely. AND now I am sad! *giggle*

5 more weeks to go!! Then I can cook a meal for him... :)

K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Process & ProceduresPacking up your k-1 information to send in the mail...
I am just about ready to mail everything out.
Just waiting on a few items and some pictures to come in...

I want to have examples how you or your s/o packed up your forms, pictures, boarding passes etc etc.. for mailing? Did you use a binder? Was it three ringed? Did you punch holes in your documents? With what company did you send it off through? Any information or examples would be lovely!

Once again and always thanks in advance!

ajames,

Then don't wait. Send it out and get your place in the queue.

Yodrak

´Cus we´re all confused. :P

...

I don't want to wait to send mine out. *whine whine* I want to get this show on the road!

...

I guess I could do that! Just looking for advice that no one has yet. So I guess I will just be as blind as everyone else! I do appreciate it though...

Send your paperwork in, I wouldn't wait. "Soon" to the government is even longer than when my mom said "soon" when I was a kid.

So forgive my ignorance....
how does this affect the paperwork I was hoping to send out by monday of next week?

Is there a new form I need to fill out? Is there something different I need to do?

I am sorry for all you who have been delayed! :(

any help would be lovely!

There is no way to know. If I were in your shoes I would wait a few days to see if there is something new you need to fill out. But that is up to you. Maybe a talk to a well informed lawyer is needed.

Thanks for the reply! I will wait a few days!
I have yet to figure out what this is even about.
I have read the threads but the info is just mixing with everything else!
WHY oh WHY can't things me easier!?

K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Process & Procedures1st FACT of IMBRA (Finally)
Hey thanks for posting it again.

Honestly I try and keep up with that other thread as well but it was moving to fast between my visits and I was getting confused! Which I might add is easily done!

I'll also say as I often do that I appreciate any information and advice that people offer.
Especially when people are kind and understanding.

I know that if feels like some people have to repeat themselves over and over here answering questions.
And you are right, if people take the time to look through a lot of previous threads, they may be able to find the information they are seeking.
But most of us want quick information, and this causes repetition. Yes we should slow down. But often we don't.

So again. I appreciate those who are patient and offer any kind of information they have! I know that for me even though I don't personally know you all it is so helpful to my soul that others are going through the same anxiety and stress that I am. :star:

K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Process & ProceduresProposing tommorow! - Help needed

Hi all,

I leave Gatwick tommorow morning, to see my SO, got the ring, got the courage (eek) and am really looking forward to it.

Thing is this......

I was in the states mid feb to see her, and im going back now. I got a real hard time at immigration (o'Hare) and this time I am going to Dallas Fort Worth, before heading to Portland. I have been told that Dallas are notoriously strict with immigration. Last time, I said I was seeing family friends, I am planning on doing the same this time.

Any tips? Any advice? Anything I should expect? Im going for 19 days, there is no way im planning to do a runner lol.

help pleaseeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee

Craig

No experience really but I have read plety of replies on here....
Possibly bring some evidence of return. ie...a work holiday form, or maybe a car payment book, or a letter from your employer that states when you will return to work from your holiday. I don't think you will have any problems as we haven't had any yet. But it is always better to the safe then sorry.

Ohh and congrats!

Our families did an engagement annoucement in the local paper and I have included it my k-1 paperwork...

No idea if it will help..
but it would hurt! :)

K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Process & Proceduresk-1 question...

Thanks guys!! You all are awesome. I kept checking back for a little while after I posted it and I figured no one really was around...so I went ahead an put tabs on the bottom of blank sheets stating which form or document was included..(per index in front)

I actually put the check in a plastic baggy attached to a peice of paper and then the copy of the check in our 2nd copy packet.

So someone mentioned signing and dating all peices of paper...
is this what I need to do?
For everything...emails, and copies of letters, and everything that doesn't automatically have a signature and date on it??

Should be ready to go on Wednesday..

UPS with a signature required at drop off! Sound good?

WEll, I signed and dated everything. I wanted to be absolutly sure in the event i was told something wasnt signed or dated. basically, I just wanted to cover my hind end.

good plan. Thanks...:)

K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Process & ProceduresI-129f finally mailed away... uffff

Hello, everybody. My fiance finally mailed the application today, I have mixed emotions for all that this new journey implies, but all in all, i'm pretty happy. My fiance didnt know anything about the K1 visa, he picked up the application and he thought all he had to do was to fill it and mail it, but since we got engaged i've been reading a lot here and basically it was me telling him what to do, what to mail, but then he got very into it, and last nite he thanked me and told me he could have never been able to make it without me, and i said "and i would have never been able to make it without Visa Journey!" lol, really, guys, the formats of the letters, the guides and your posts have been of great, great help. I'm talking like i had just been approved lol, i guess i'm simply excited and thankful.

Anyway, let's all be patient and hopeful, and like my guy told me: "all we have to do now, is pray..."

Thank you.

Jenny (F)

I know! It did cover up my tabs...ajames, great quote! I have a rubber stamp that says "All you need is love". I was planning on using it on my wedding invitations!

Aww that would be awesome on invitations!!
That is a fantastic idea!

Some Friends of mine got married last year and the walked back down the isle after they were married to
"All You Need Is Love" by The Beatles (obviously) it was really great! Cute too!

Wicked! I would totally do that except I don't think Pete, my fiance, is as into Beatles as I am. lol (and I'm the American one!)

Yeah (I am the american one too) Chris likes them all that much either! AND the girl that did that for her wedding will be attending mine...*grin* don't want to appear as though I am copying!
