You have no privacy when you petition someone. :secret:

Surely you must have a couple of emails and chats per month which are not X-rated.

K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Process & ProceduresIs this a denial or approval?
Your fiancée's 221g was not a denial. It was a refusal. There's a difference.

Her 221g told her what she had to do, and she did it.

Now her visa has been approved and she received an email from 2GO telling her that they have her visa packet.

Delivery of her visa packet is imminent...probably tomorrow.

Congratz! :star:

K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Process & ProceduresI'm confused please help!!
St. Lukes will cancel your Embassy interview. When you pass your medical, then you can reschedule your interview, or you can have St. Lukes reschedule it for you.

In your case, your NOA2 will not be an issue. St. Lukes will contact the Embassy about your case, and the Embassy will routinely extend your case since they realize your case is active and moving forward.

Good luck with your medical. :star:

thank you, are you a nurse too?

No, I'm not a nurse, but I understand how difficult the NCLEX-RN is. :girlwerewolf2xn:

My malambing Pinay wife, (L) Chinook (L) , is an RN here in Washington State. She passed the NCLEX in September 2009 and started working as an RN in March 2010.

K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Process & ProceduresCorrections to an accepted I-129F Petition
Thanks for posting the info.

On my I-129F, the box on Page 3/Part C/Question 2 wasn't marked either! It must have been caused by some computer glitch when I printed it out. As a matter of fact, none of the boxes that required check marks were checked. I didn't notice it and I submitted it to the USCIS.

The petition was approved by the USCIS, sailed through the NVC, and the mistake was caught by the consular officer at Chinook's interview. The consular officer gave Chinook a 221g only for Page 3/Part C/ Question 2 despite the fact that none of the boxes on the I-129F were checked. The consular officer apparently didn't care about any of the unchecked boxes except for that one box.

I sent Chinook a corrected I-129F and she submitted it to the Embassy. She got her visa one week later.

K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Process & ProceduresShot Records
She doesn't need to take a vaccination history to her medical at St. Lukes.

Also, she won't need most of those shots listed on the USEM website.

St. Lukes will give her the age-appropriate shots she needs when she has her medical. The shots are included in the price of the medical.

No worries.

K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Process & Proceduresk2 visa!!! Follow to join

hi, i just want to help you, we have the same situation, you can start making appointment for the interview and medical. you need to fill up forms like what you did with your like 156,157 etc. separately, but at this point your kids are still very young, for sure they need assistance, good thing if you can assist them during medical and interview. You will use your manila case number to book for their appointment interview..

a guardian can take the kids to the medical and interview just be sure the guardian is familiar what to do.

I'm not very familiar with the K-2 follow-to-join process, but I think yamandray is correct. You can pay the visa fees at BPI and then schedule their interview online or by phone. Then they will need to complete their medical at St. Lukes. Then they will interview at the Embassy. Don't forget to have them registered at CFO.

I called NVC tonight and was excited to get our MNL case number. My question is, can we pay the 240 Visa fee now or do we need to wait till it gets to USEM?

Thanks,

You can pay the visa fee at BPI now. Then you can try every day to schedule an appointment until the system allows you to schedule it.

Your fiancée will have to submit one of your tax returns. Depending on when she interviews at the U.S. Embassy Manila, she will either submit your 2011 return or your 2012 return. If she interviews before you complete your 2012 return, she will submit your 2011 return.

However, the consular officer will not only look at your 2011 income level, but he will also look at your current paycheck stubs and your employer's letter, and he will see that you are above 125% of the poverty line for your household size when your paychecks are annualized. In other words, he will see that your current sustained income is at the $60000 level when taken on an annual basis.

If the consular officer doesn't notice your increased income, then you and your fiancée need to bring it to his attention.

As for photos, I understand that they are only secondary evidence of a relationship. I hope the USCIS is OK with you not sending in any photos. However, the consular officers in Manila usually like to look at them. Can you make another trip to visit your fiancée before her interview? Or, better yet, can you attend her interview?

K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Process & ProceduresQuestion about fees for K1

does she pay the visa fee in the Philippines at the time of her interview or do i pay here in USA?... and what $ amount is it?

Also, at the time when arrives in the USA with me, and after we marry and we file for Adjustment Of Status within the 90 days.....do we pay the fee at that time?.....what is this fee?? ( i read $1070)......and when we file for AOS, is this also applying for the green card at the same time??

The USCIS will send your approved petition to the National Visa Center (NVC) where the NVC will assign it an MNL case number and forward it to the U.S. Embassy Manila. When your petition is at the NVC, you should call them and get your MNL case number. Once you have your MNL case number, your fiancée can pay the $240 visa application fee at any BPI branch. The visa fee is paid in Php at the prevailing exchange rate. There are also options for you to pay the visa application fee online through BPI or BancNet.

Once the visa application fee is paid, you or your fiancée can schedule her Embassy interview either online or by phone. Also, she can complete her Medical at St. Lukes Medical Extension Clinic.

When your fiancée files to adjust her status (AOS), she is filing for a conditional green card which is good for two years. Before her conditional green card expires, she will file to remove the conditions (ROC) on her green card in order to get her 10-year green card. I can't remember, but I think you are correct that the AOS fee is $1070. You send the AOS fee in with the AOS packet. Also, you send the ROC fee in with the ROC packet.

Good luck on your visa journey! :star:

K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Process & Proceduresvaccination

i just want to know if i can go for vaccination even not yet get our NOA2 ? and how and where to get an Appointment letter....

Please don't let people scare you with nonsense talk about multi-year vaccinations and lawyers. St. Lukes will take care of your vaccination needs and you won't have any problem adjusting your status and getting your conditional green card.

The time to get your vaccinations is when you have your medical exam at St. Lukes Medical Extension Clinic. They will give you the age-appropriate vaccinations you need in order to complete your medical and to adjust your status here in the U.S. You also have the option of getting your vaccinations here in the U.S., but that is going to cost you time and money. The cost of the vaccinations at St. Lukes is already included in the medical exam fee.

It's not required to bring a vaccination history to St. Lukes. St. Lukes will determine which vaccinations you need. Typically, people get anywhere from two to four shots. The common shots are TDap, MMR, Varicella, and a flu shot during flu season. If you are pregnant, St. Lukes will not give you any shots which are contraindicated for pregnancy.

Once your petition is approved, it will be sent to the National Visa Center (NVC) where it will be assigned an MNL case number and then forwarded to the U.S. Embassy Manila. When your petition gets to the NVC, call them and get your MNL case number. When you have your MNL case number, go ahead and pay the visa fee at BPI and then schedule an Embassy interview either online or by phone. Print out a couple of interview appointment confirmation sheets.

Then pre-register for your medical on St. Lukes website. Print out a couple of completed pre-registration forms. Then you can go to St. Lukes on a walk-in basis and complete your medical. Make sure you read St. Lukes website for the other requirements.

Best wishes for a smooth and speedy visa journey. :star:

K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Process & ProceduresVaccinations Required for K-1 Visa

The only ones required for AOS are MMR, Tdap/TD, varicella(unless you had the chickenpox) and flu shot(only during flu season).

http://www.cdc.gov/i...tions.html#tbl1

^^^ Absolutely right!

OP...She doesn't need any shots before her medical. She'll get the shots she needs during her medical at St. Lukes. The shots are covered in the price of the medical.

Chinook got the MMR, the TDap, and the flu shot at St. Lukes. She already had chicken pox, so she didn't need the varicella shot. No more shots were needed for AOS.

K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Process & Procedures221G for current sustained income

so past taxes are irrelevent compared to what is being made at this current time? or do they play a role ?

The consular officer will look at the 2011 income tax return and the W-2, so it is not "irrelevant." However, the consular officer also will take into account the current sustained income when deciding whether the visa applicant likely will become a public charge in the U.S. At the U.S. Embassy Manila, the current sustained income near always trumps last year's tax return. It's probably the same way in Brazil.

if the person filing had lower than 18k in 2011 then shortly after got a job and has mantained it for over a year that is 45k. how does one handle that situation?

Submit his current paycheck stubs and a letter from his current employer. This will show that his income exceeds 125% of the poverty level on an annualized basis.

Plus it is better to get them at your medical and have them marked off on your DS-3025 so you do not have to worry about finding a civil surgeon in the US to do the I-693. It can be a hassle to find one that won't insist on another unnecessary exam and overcharge you as well. Getting the few required vaccinations at the time of your medical is the best way to go.

Good point! 100% agree...
TahomaMalePhilippines2012-07-31 14:28:00
K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Process & ProceduresVaccinations
Your fiancée is not required to have any vaccinations for her visa approval or to enter the U.S. However, she will need the vaccinations to adjust her status in the U.S. However, she should get them during her medical exam at St. Lukes because they are already covered in the price of the medical exam.

St. Lukes will give her the age-appropriate vaccinations she needs. Normally, they administer the TDap, MMR, Varicella (if they can't find any chicken pox scars), and flu (if it's flu season) vaccinations. That's all.

If she's pregnant, they won't give her any vaccinations which are contraindicated for pregnancy. If she's had sexual contact since her last period, St. Lukes will ask her to come back for her vaccinations following her next period.
