K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Case Filing and Progress Reports	k-1 petition approved 14 days.	Andie, did they say the new staff were at both service centers or just Vermont? I've noticed a few other cases that have been approved rather quickly. Sorry I don't know all the details. My fiance was at the meeting. But there was a large number, of new trainees being released into the fold who would speed up the process... I'll try to find out. I didn't think it would take effect so soon. We were told this would happen (though not such a short timeframe) - at our infopass meeting recently - that there were new staff employed and things would be moving more quickly. After 9 months of waiting for our **NOA1** (and still waiting for it) you can understand why I would think it would have been appropriate for them to clear the backlog first !! Our petition was perfect too...(their words) it is their error that has prevented us from being finished with this stage of the process. Congratulations, however. K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Case Filing and Progress Reports	Exactly after 6 months, got our NOA2	Yes yes yes, we got our NOA2 today. The best ever news I received this morning from my fiancee. It's 9.05 am here in New Zealand and I was asleep after a hard day's work yesterday following college. My fiancee rang me and simply said "We got our NOA2, but I am driving, I cant talk to you right now", lol. Anyway I would like to thank the VJ family here for their consistent support and encouragement. My VJ timeline actually said my case would be adjudicated between February 25th to March 5, 2013. So, my case was approved 3 days ahead of the timeline. I just feel so happy. I was worried about so many things. I opened a thread about---if we were going to receive an RFE, coz I forgot to write our names, location and dates on the back of photographs etc, but the learned members here assured me that its not an issue at all. Thank you so much guys and gals for the reassurance you have given me. I feel so sleepy after last night's work but cant sleep now at all, ,lol. I wish all the very best to those who are waiting especially the 200 group. I really hope they get their NOA2's very soon, I am an August filer from VSC and I am sure they are really doing some work there. It looks great to see my timeline received NOA1 on August 22nd, received our NOA2 on February 22nd. Thank God. Sorry for the longish post. I am just very excited today. Cheers. Awww... Congratulations!!! Great news. You must be so excited and it wasn't too long a wait for you guys. Now you've got your interview to plan for and keep you occupied (as well as College and work, haha). I am so sorry that you are having to wait this long. I dont know what to say, its just ridiculous. I cannot even begin to imagine how difficult it must be for you during this waiting time. I must applaud your tenacity for still hanging in there. And it also kind of puts in perspective my own waiting period. I just wish you all the very best in your K1 journey. PS: Also, I see you are from New Zealand. One of those rare VJ members from New Zealand. All the best. Yes it's true ! After several calls to Tier 2's and 2 Infopass appointments over a period of months (with follow up meetings/calls each time) in each case they have ultimately said they have everything they need, no reasons for the delays...(there was a screw up with our earlier petition in 2011(our error) which we tried to unravel and they kept mixing up the two petitions for a while there, but 326 days now since the second petition was filed. We've been told there is nothing further for us to do and it should be approved soon (within days/weeks). BUT Still, nothing. Next step, Senator/Congressman. I read somewhere on the site that while waiting for noa2 u should begin gathering docs -- not send off, but just gather them. This wait sure does make one antsy. Lol. I know my status won't change anytime soon, but I still keep checking--- I can't stay off of the site. Lol. Am I alone???? LOL No you're not alone in that ... it is kind of addictive and its good to pick up advice as to things to watch out for when reading of others' experiences. It also helps fill in the time and support from others stops you going completely ... (though I'm not sure I've managed to avoid doing so). Best of luck with yours ! We have been told by Tier 2 supervisors, and Infopass supervisors at least 3 times each that we would hear something within 2 weeks - it really meant nothing. Are they investigating your case? Did they lose it again? Well to be honest we don't really know what's happened. The last we knew he had already had 3 Infopass meetings which unravelled (once again) the fact that they kept mixing up our 2011 petition and our 2012, but the Supervisor who seemed quite onto it, finally said he had everything - he had put it all in order and we didn't need to provide any other information - it was all quite clearly there in their system. He was sending it off and we should expect to hear within a few weeks. (We've heard this before with Vermont Tier 2's however ). That was just before Xmas and we had arranged to meet in Canada). We half expected to get some good news when we both returned home. Since then he has spoken to an Immigration lawyer who said that the Supervisor who was handling our file has since left that office. I guess it just got thrown back in the pile ... who knows? Its been a particularly busy start to the year, but we have put all our information together, timeline etc. and there is an Infopass meeting booked for later this week. We have no issues - nothing that should delay our situation - just lost somewhere in the 'system'. We did pretty well for a very long time but now ... yea its really tough. Unfair ? ... absolutely ! It's with great trepidation and heaviness of heart that I welcome Andie from New Zealand to our small group of mourners. On a more serious note....I have read a lot of your earlier posts from the March thread. I'm an April filer so back a few months ago when I thought it was time for my number to be called I would look over the March and April threads just to see what was happening with other peoples petitions. Of course the longer this went and the less and less original people were still hanging around their threads, you were one of the few that remained in March. So anyway since we neither one had been approved, I would occasionally go back to the March thread just to see if you ever had been approved. Best of luck to you........I am about to go in for my second infopass although I don't really believe much of anything we do makes any difference. I've contacted congressmen, senators, done multiple calls to USCIS service center, tier 2 a number of times etc. Seems the typical response is "wait 30-60 days and if you don't hear anything put in another service request". Kind of sadly funny in a way, wait 60 days to put in another service request to wait another 60 days. One of the requests I put in actually came back with a response to wait 6 months before inquiring again LOL. Well enough rambling for now. Yep... I have to go with Res... this is so bad.. I know how you feel. There is no reason except for a totally inadequate process. There is no justification. K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Case Filing and Progress Reports	May 2012 Filers	Finally! Our NOA 2 was approved just yesterday. There were no problems with our application yet we had to wait an unbearable 283 days for NOA2. I was on the verge of leaving this country too. It had been promise after promise that our application would be completed and they'd keep making us wait 30 days and then 60 days and so forth. Finally, there is some closure and progress. The worst part was they'd never give a reason or answer any of our questions as to why it was so delayed. I'm very happy that our application was finally approved, but the whole process has left me quite bitter. Let's hope that the application from here on out will go much smoother. Thank you everyone for all of your kind words of support this whole time. Congratulations... depressing and stressful when it drags on like this with no apparent reason. K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Case Filing and Progress Reports	May 2012 Filers	Thanks! It was a wonderful day. I could not have been happier with the way everything turned out. The wedding was outside in a park so we were very concerned about the weather but we woke up to a beautiful clear sunny day. Whew! About 60 people attended. Everyone was so happy for us, knowing what we went through to get to this moment. It was so hard not to cry as I walked down the isle, seeing all our family and friends and seeing the big smile on his face. I'm looking forward to relaxing and enjoying time together. The main thing is getting through the other side of the tunnel together. Her cancer and this whole K-1 process rolled up in one, sure it is heavy duty on us both, especially iwth us being on the other side of the world. However we are nothing special, I am sure that there are many other couples who have been through what we have if not worse. Just taking everything one day at a time. At least we havent been denied, and that is always a good reason to keep ya chin up! Yes.. for sure. I tell you one game that just sucks us in is Skyrim (fantasy world, slay dragons, killing orcs, drinking wine and singing etc...) and I kid you not this game just distracts you from everything. This weekend seemed like only mere hours. And hey, anything to get her mind of all the bad things my fiancee has been through is a blessing. Hang in there my May peeps, soon it shall be judgement day on us! yes.. hey tough time now I'm sure .. but every day is another day closer. A brave journey for your special lady and you both ... K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Case Filing and Progress Reports	May 2012 Filers	ha.. on the bright side, its easily fixed, so, boarding passes? stamps in passport? those are better proof than an itinerary. add more photos - even the same ones again, any receipts you have from Portugal, shes been to the USA right? get the same of hers, she can scan and email them to you. I think they want to see official dates rather than an itinerary which doesn't actually prove you were there, just you had intentions of going, same with photos, even the date stamped ones are not solid proof, they can be altered, however, they are supported with the other stuff. are you sorted? the trip back to USCIS should be faster, you could be approved in a couple of weeks. yes its horseshit, but we knew that already. they have you at ransom, put on your best beaming fake grin and get to work sunshine.
