K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Case Filing and Progress Reports	K1 SURVIVAL GUIDE	I have kept busy (some of the time) by putting together information for the interview...copies of chat logs and other proof of ongoing relationship and a lot of time talking/chatting to my fiance. We take photos to email each other of day-to-day stuff, its funny how the little things make you feel closer. There are ok days and 'not so ok' days and you just have to keep moving and try to keep busy with any chores or hobbies you may have. Look for the April filers thread on here. K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Case Filing and Progress Reports	K1 visa stamp proof of meeting!	Welcome to VJ. Its been said that photos are secondary evidence. That being said passport stamps, boarding passes, e-tickets, ticker receipts, hotel receipts, ATM withdrawals receipts...basically anything to prove you two were in the same state in the same country at the same time is primary evidence. You should not send it now, it would only get lost. It looks like you will have to wait for an RFE and have it ready in hand when you get it to send out immediately. K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Case Filing and Progress Reports	Visa APPROVED	Had my interview this morning at 11am, was in and out within half an hour and only got asked 3 questions. (How did you meet? What is your fiancee's job? And, Have you ever been to America before?) Seemed like a really simple process, the lady didn't even ask to see any of my compiled relationship evidence, just read through the emails and photos we'd submitted with our original petition. The only drawback was that the consulate doctor hadn't faxed them confirmation of me getting the measles vaccine (which was the only thing i was missing when i had my medical). Had to go to the dr and get them to fax that through to the consulate, but my interviewer said once they recieved that my visa would be APPROVED !! YAY - now to wait on my passport and visa arriving in the mail before i can book flights to L.A. Faaaantastic!! Very happy to know it all went well. You must be so excited!! K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Case Filing and Progress Reports	USCIS processing of applications in unfair	There are a variety of reasons why the process is inconsistent. CSC is quicker than VSC generally - other than that, it is most likely dependent on whose desk it ends up on, their pace of working, issues that occur on files before yours etc, etc. I agree the toughest part is not knowing where you stand and when you will get a response. In the meantime you just have to try and keep busy with other things and not become too addicted to checking your status since it isn't reliable either. Its good to have this site to feel like you have some connection with the process and you can start thinking about what you need to get things ready for your Packet 3. K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Case Filing and Progress Reports	what is "touched"	Just one thing.... sometimes this follows what is happening with your file but often people can go right through to the approval from USCIS without their status ever changing and it shows no "touches" or changes right through the whole process. So while you can check it... it is not totally reliable. Also, a "touch" can just mean that it has been moved from one desk to another, so may be nothing significant. K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Case Filing and Progress Reports	I have a question for fellow K1'ers	We met when his family moved to NZ when we were kids. We were at the same school together for 4 years. Later he moved away and we went to different high schools, but kept in contact. We lost contact when he returned to live in the US. We had both started travelling in our late teens and without knowing we have since discovered we travelled a lot of the same roads in the US and Canada at the same time. We have since both been married and had kids and we finally met up again online in 2009. IR-1 / CR-1 Spouse Visa Case Filing and Progress Reports	September 2013 Interviews	We got a checklist the same day as case complete o.O  I think because they reviewed and approved the DS-260 before even looking at the civil documents (we got a checklist for the civil documents).  We called to find out about the checklist and they  basically said "we don't know why you got a checklist, your case is complete"   If it's a generic checklist (which is likely the case), it's probably a "false" checklist that you can ignore, but CALL THE NVC to confirm.   If there are specific things mentioned that were missed, CALL THE NVC to see what you need to do.   I can't remember whether we got 3 or 4 checklists through the whole process (and only one was legitimate -- but luckily overturned on supervisor re-review), but I think the NVC should be really trying harder NOT to generate checklists.  It's confusing, scary, and disheartening to do everything correctly and still get them. Yes I will call NVC today and see what is going on because I'm really worried! Abs I'm glad you described everything I'm feeling because it is true and I don't like when NVC does that...
