K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Case Filing and Progress Reports	RFE I got was simple and silly	I mentioned on Monday that I saw on the USCIS website an RFE. I thought it would be for the blue background on me and my fiancee passport pictures. It wasn't that. It was for page 3 of I-129 application part C. I didn't answer the questions about if I was involved in domestic violence and other types of crimes. There were 3 questions. I answered no to all 3 of them and sent it off today. I recieved the hard copy in the mail yesterday evening. One page was instruction and the other was the page to respond. Both pages were blue in color. I made copies for myself. I used tracking from postal service to see when they recieve it. It says it will take a minimum of 2 weeks for them to respond to the RFE when they receive it. K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Case Filing and Progress Reports	I-129F - One month and cheque not cashed :(	I have to take ownership of the error - I somehow used the fee for the I-129 rather than the I-129F... I would still contact them and get some sort of reference number or confirmation - or you may find it has been 'put aside'. You don't want it sitting around on someone's desk and lose time as can happen - if you have confirmation of delivery you have something to go by. PS: And this is an example that supports my ideology that even despite prior demonstrated process on VJ, things can happen, things change and anomalies occurs whenever we introduce the human element. Personally I think it was your letter that did it. I am imagining someone that was moved by your letter and placed an extra beyond the requirement of the job effort to git er done. So folks, you can be that exception to the rule. I wish we'd had that sort of encouragement when the same happened to us, but ended in a denial. We faced some pretty harsh and in fact quite nasty reactions at a time we were really suffering. Nice to hear this level of support. There is no way someone can submit an application in March and receive no1 that has August date on it. Wow!! how can you assume this merely because it didn't happen to you. Our petition was submitted in March, complete with G-1145 form. We didn't receive an NOA1, and the check wasn't cashed till May. By then, we were frantic. It has taken some unravelling but it appears that our petition was split up and sent to several places. It HAPPENS !!!!!!! OP, do not assume that your USC partner is at fault. Get them to follow up and ask to speak to a Tier 2 person at USCIS. There are several other people that have posted recently that didn't get an NOA1, the system is in a mess. Best of luck... don't automatically doubt your fiance. Also, the Case Status is unreliable. In many cases the status never leaves INITIAL REVIEW. Updating of this is not a priority and many people have been approved and beyond and their status has never changed from Initial review. By all means check with USCIS with a Tier 2 person before accepting what you have been told on this thread. Believe me, its not unusual for this to happen... best with your process..
