SO EXCITED AND they approved it in 5 business days after getting our RFE!! Thanks to everyone who helped me out with the RFE! Im not sure what im supposed to do now though, guess its time to look into that Hey congratulations you guys ... that was so quick ! Check on the NZ link for what's required at the embassy as I know that the requirements are a little different e.g. the documents as evidence of income is not so rigid - ask those who have been through recently. K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Case Filing and Progress Reports	OMG! NOA2 came in today	Wow, smoking hot day today! So I've been entertaining family for over a week and ignored my mailbox for a bit. Well as luck would have it, I called USCIS last week and they had no news for me. (My case number doesn't work in their system.) Anyhow, opened the mail and found the NOA2! APPROVED! We sent the I-129F petition November 16 2011 it was received there on November 21 2011 and as of February 22 2012 we got notice that our petition approved! K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Case Filing and Progress Reports	Almost 7 months and still no NOA2	I am sorry it has taken so long for you 7 months is well above the average and if you haven't had an RFE I would say almost too long. The only advice I can offer is to keep calling; one person may tell you one date and the next day you might get another; try to ask to speak to someone who is "level 2" or a supervisor and ask for a reference number for your calls if they can give you one, so you know you are being taken seriously; also talk to your congressman. Good luck and keep us updated! Yes, agree. Amazing what happens when the person picking up the phone has to take some personal responsibility that might come back to bite them later on if they get it wrong or don't give sufficient assistance. If paid by other means, check with the issuing institution that the funds were deposited with USCIS. How was the petition sent? Do you have confirmation that the petition was delivered and received by USCIS? Good luck. Yes - the cashing of the cheque would confirm that they had received the petition. Even if we don't like it..lol.. In the time since we filed first I have lost Dad, Stepdad, and 4 weeks ago my Mom. If things had gone through the first time I wouldn't have been there to hold Mom as she passed. "On March 2, 2012, we mailed you a notice that we have approved this I129F PETITION FOR FIANCE(E). Please follow any instructions on the notice.
