K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Case Filing and Progress Reports	March (2012) filers...	Hey March filers. Anyone still around? I haven't been on in a while and wanted to check in to see how everyone was doing. Nick and I are still waiting to hear anything from the Embassy in London. Everyone said this process goes so fast after approval but I'm not seeing it. Looks like most of you are together now and a few are even already married so congrats to you guys. I'm happy for you all, though envious! Heh. Is Andie, Res, and Rong still waiting for their NOA2? Hopefully, not! I'd love to know what step everyone is at now. As a side note, does anyone know what number to call to check on your visa once it's gone to the embassy (ours is in London)? I have two numbers but they are so expensive and Nick has already called them twice which is like $40!!! How can they charge so much for a two minute phone call?!?! I heard someone say you could call the state department? Anyone have a number for that? Anyone phone numbers that anyone could share I would be happy to have. Yes... still waiting... I've just been to Canada to meet him there since I can't get a visa for the US (insufficient ties.. no longer have a job etc... been sitting here waiting for more than 2 yrs in anticipation and unable to commit to long term employment, I also write, but no employer as such). Between us all sorts of hitches and because of the snow storms in the east he was delayed which meant we didn't have much time together, but after all our time apart anything was better than nothing. NOTHING "Its being handled by an officer" essentially it will be done when its done, and "call back after 60 days if I don't hear something" Tier 2: I was told to wait 60 days AFTER the response to the service request date which was Dec 6th... about 45 days MORE than the 60 days after RFE response receipt... words cannot explain my feeling regarding this heartless organization. I understand what you're going through... there is no reliable standard, timeframe or response. Lengthy delays without valid justification shouldn't be possible and there should be proper timeframes. Honeymoon in Florida I am hoping everyone makes gets approval soon VSC is killing me... I know we will get there eventually - and now we've decided to meet in Canada for a short time, (hoping I can get some flights that aren't too ridiculously expensive).. it's only going to be a few days really, because he's taking more time off when I come back again. She had an info pass meeting the other day and i have not heard anything yet and she has several business contacts that work for ice making inquiries as well. I know this all takes time but i am so tired of waiting but i a sure she will get things on track. My fiance and i have not seen each other for 14 months now what agony. This process can be so cruel... it takes a lot to keep hanging on when you haven't seen each other in so long. We have now been apart for 2 years so I understand how difficult it is. I'm really hoping for the best for you.. it tests every strength I know. Yes.. so we've had our file looked at by them finding it by names - in the end it was in four or five different places in their system. We are supposed to be getting a number ... how hard can that be??? I'm hoping that they might hurry up after that - each supervisor that we've spoken to says we have provided everything - there is nothing missing, nothing else we need to send. K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Case Filing and Progress Reports	March (2012) filers...	It is so sad when some of us get left behind and thrown into a random stack that USCIS refuses to look at. I also have been waiting a long time to get the approval and have found that calling immigration and opening service requests are completely useless. Currently I am at the mercy of an immigration lawyer that is trying to get my paperwork moving because ICE decided to freeze my file. Yes it just feels so hopeless at times. I feel the same for you... Most of the time you just get the standard answers, even from Tier 2's. There are no reasons... no answers - we have thought we had everything put on track several times - they seemed to understand and be taking control, but then nothing happened after that. You try to be patient to give them time to process everything and later find out its all just back in the heap. Does your lawyer seem to be getting things moving? Sounds like a good plan to meet in Canada... it will be good to see each other again! Thank you... yes.. it is way beyond ridiculous. There have been several other calls to them in between that have gone nowhere and I haven't even mentioned them here, but the most recent infopass meetings have finally unravelled everything and this supervisor has been able to show how it all looks in the system. He was getting pretty angry at the fact that we still hadn't received our case number etc - without that we've had no real identity; so he's followed through and said if we don't have something in a few days we are to contact him but from the meeting it sounded like things were finally going to happen. I'm just hoping he's given them further recommendations. Yes it will be SO GREAT!! to see each other again... talking for around 2hrs each day is one thing, but we are both so much happier now we have plans to get some time together. My fiancée received an email from the embassy stating that the embassy reached a decision on the AP and issue a visa for printing. She has been in the AP for the last 28 days. Thank God, the first chapter is over and second chapter will start soon. I would like to thank the members of VJ for the help I was getting throughout the process. With out GOD and VJ, it will be really difficult to reach to this point. Thanks everyone who posted question so that I can learn a lot from the responses and also I appreciate those who took time read and responded to my questions. This process was not easy. I started the process on May 12, 2010 and the K-1 visa was denied at USE @ Addis Ababa Ethiopia. The second petition sent to USCIS on March 28, 2011 and my fiancée was interviewed at USE Frankfurt, Germany. After 16 months and 10 days, the first part of the journey is over. I am pretty sure, I will use this website and recommends as the best tool for any kind of immigration issues. I wish you the best of all and I advise you NOT TO GIVE UP AT ALL. I am having my vacation with my fiancee in beautiful and sunny Antalya, Turkey. Today, we celebrated my birthday and our NOA2 arrived! It doesn't get much better than this!!! Yeeeeeeee --- Haaaaaaaaawww!!! 111 days for approval!!! Hooray!!! We were prepared to wait for at least 6 to 8 months, but at this point, we will not complain! Woo-Hoo!!! Congrats!! K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Case Filing and Progress Reports	My fience was denied	She would have been stressed going into the interview and if she discovered something she didn't know about before - would be wondering why perhaps? Or, didn't understand the result of the interview and thinks it is a denial? Regardless of which case applies, it is not fair to you to ignore your calls. You wont know until you discuss it and you can then take the soft (maybe flowers) approach, or tell her you are sorting out the missing info.
