K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Case Filing and Progress Reports	May 2012 Filers	ha.. on the bright side, its easily fixed, so, boarding passes? stamps in passport? those are better proof than an itinerary. add more photos - even the same ones again, any receipts you have from Portugal, shes been to the USA right? get the same of hers, she can scan and email them to you. I think they want to see official dates rather than an itinerary which doesn't actually prove you were there, just you had intentions of going, same with photos, even the date stamped ones are not solid proof, they can be altered, however, they are supported with the other stuff. are you sorted? the trip back to USCIS should be faster, you could be approved in a couple of weeks. yes its horseshit, but we knew that already. they have you at ransom, put on your best beaming fake grin and get to work sunshine. I'm getting up in the morning to go... it usually takes me an hour talk to myself into it, which makes me late for work, but pft.. like work is a priority anyway. I'll be ok once I have my visa in hand. Although the NOA2 is a great hurdle to jump through, you know things will pick up momentum then. I'm just hoping at this point, that my SO and I make it till then. Things have been uncomfortable since his little dummy spit. I'm hoping the time we get together in 3 weeks will settle this once and for all. Not feeling special or overly confident at this stage. Aww hey.. hope you're doing ok. I've been out of touch because I'm worried about our case. They have mentioned some of the 'buzz' words, but I'm not convinced. K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Case Filing and Progress Reports	RFE received: Circumstances of Meeting and Last Personal Meeting	Actually many people have been approved on what you provided, but since they have asked for more specific information  - and they usually only ask how you met and not for specific evidence for that particular question, I would send a copy of some evidence that you were at the same place at the same time  i.e. relating to your being at the same school at the same time.  If they want overkill, then give it to them.  These dont have to be originals... just copies.   As far as meeting within the past two years.. again, they appear to be very picky and people have provided far less and still been approved.  However, I would recommend you send copies of passport stamps, copies of boarding passes (if you still have them) as these are proof that you actually boarded the flight (s) whereas anyone can buy a ticket and not travel, so receipts or copies of tickets, while useful are lesser evidence.  Also, copies of receipts of you being in her city... maybe bank/eftpos receipts/statements... Anything at all that shows you were there.  And if you have copies of photos together while there - while not the strongest evidence... will support the fact that you were together.  Think of it as building a 'picture'.  Nothing has to be the original for the initial petition so copies are fine.  Passport stamps are strong but those with anything else you can provide will help.  Don't panic.. everything may well be resolved if you can do this.  Wish you the best.. don't let it throw you.. just put your information together and submit it. I truly wish there was a way to make them pay for their insolence. I'd love to have 5 minutes alone with one of those #######. - Exactly... the promises that have been made to us that turned out to be total lies. I understand that there is a process and its painful enough... but the lies and misinformation are what hurt the most because we are waiting and depending on their responses so we know how to plan our lives, day to day, week to week, month to month. IMO the wait is long no matter how many weeks/months/years it takes if you truly love your fiance/e and sometimes things zip through pretty quickly, other times not. You can ask for advice here if you think after reading the site extensively that there is a problem and even then, after following the best responses, it may still not be a good run. Trust me... K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Case Filing and Progress Reports	NOA2 After 373 Days	Hey Andie have you had any news on your case recently, I hope that it all gets worked soon for you.   Hi Res... yes we refiled a few weeks ago.  Third time ... crazy !!   It is totally in my fiance's hands right now.  As the beneficiary I really have no power.  The plan is to fight the fight through the Congressman and whatever else it takes.   i am already exhausted by all this.  yes, we made an error with our initial petition but since then it has been theirs.  I can only say it has taken its toll... but we are still together while 8000 miles apart.  I can't deny that it is very very tough.     Best to you all though ... and to you and Lyricalan ... K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Case Filing and Progress Reports	Approved K1 sent direct to Consulate from Texas Service Centre	So, 5 weeks after approval in Texas with regular calls to the NVC to see if our file has been transferred, I rang the USCIS customer service number to be told that they wouldn't discuss the case with the beneficiary, but only the applicant. My fiancee called them and was advised that our file had gone directly to the embassy. I have now paid the courier fee and am awaiting confirmation of an interview date. All this without the magic number we were led to believe was a prerequisite for any activity at the embassy.   I'm delighted (obviously) but frustrated to know that the file has been sitting in London for 3 or 4 weeks without us knowing.         As an aside.. and just out of curiosity since its not in your timeline... how long did Texas take between NOA1 to NOA2?   Thanks	Andie	Female	New Zealand	2013-08-27 13:40:00

His photo's do not meet their requirements. And they won't accept our typed, signed agreements that say we will marry in 90 days, they want them hand written...how petty is that? His birth certificate is a photocopy of his original, same as mine is. They've accepted mine, but not his. That i don't understand   Since when did they need a certified copy of the birth certificate and a handwritten Intent to Marry???  If the signature is original, what's the issue...  ? I went to www.dhl.com clicked Express then Tracking, then Track by Shipper's Reference, on this page you add your search info..You change the day and month to what you think your's might have left NVC EXAMPLE: * Shipper´s Reference : EXP 24 MAR 2011A * Date range for shipment - From: 23 - 03 - 2011 * Date range for shipment - To: 26 - 03 - 2011 Account Number - Leave this blank Shipment Destination: Egypt / You Choose your Country The day I was trying this I saw a package had left for Egypt. I thought could that be our's? I called the NVC and I was told our package had gone out. The one I had saw was our's I was so happy. I just checked our's it's at the Sorting Center in Egypt now, it's moving fast Someone with the example date I made up above for the country of Egypt has a package going to Egypt now as you will see if you try this. Postal Service doesn't forward government mail... I don't even know how to get my RFEs at this point without putting in a service request which takes 30-60 days to process... therefore... We have been delayed an unquantifiable amount of time because of the pathetic.... nevermind... just delayed.... How do these people sleep at night.. this is just so bad ... It would have been great if I got that list in October. I really can't imagine what I could be missing..... I remember reading way back that it only takes them about 20mins to go through each petition. The fact that it is taking them so long to process yours and come up with a new answer every few days doesn't even make sense. This whole thing is insane... if it works first time then you're ok apparently, but if not and it goes wrong... it goes horribly wrong. We are in the process of refiling.. so despondent and distraught, its hard to make the effort. I still can't believe we are having to do this. That is insane yes... it is. Sickening ! K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Case Filing and Progress Reports	March (2012) filers...	Haven't really been around here much lately. He finally had the interview with the local office last Friday 1st March. The Supervisor there said that most of the staff had been either fired or moved on (we had heard this previously from an Immigration lawyer). They had been promising things but not delivering. He then took my fiance to a room full of boxes of files and said .. 'yours will be in there somewhere'. His recommendation was to file again and then apply for an expedite - the alternative is to just keep waiting forever ... After 11 1/2 mths I just feel sick about it. And guess what... we still don't have a case number. So really, he thinks that if we start again it wont get messed up with the other two petitions which are so intermingled now, I don't think anyone is going to resolve it. We could - its not impossible, they are defined by the dates of submission on each page - but its probably just safer to start yet again. If the expedite happens, that's one thing... if not ... what then.??? It went very well but she only asked me questions pertaining to my previous marriage because i had sponsored my ex wife from mexico. After explaining everything and showing current correspondence she said that she should have it.approved by tuesday of next week.. she apologized for the case taking so long and said she hopes all works out with the new marriage. I just received a phone call from the local office and they want to have a quick interview with me tomorrow at 4pm. The officer was very nice over the phone and said she just wanted to ask a few questions so she could approve the visa and send it to the embassy. Nick and I are still waiting to hear anything from the Embassy in London. Everyone said this process goes so fast after approval but I'm not seeing it. Looks like most of you are together now and a few are even already married so congrats to you guys. I'm happy for you all, though envious! Heh. Is Andie, Res, and Rong still waiting for their NOA2? Hopefully, not! I'd love to know what step everyone is at now. As a side note, does anyone know what number to call to check on your visa once it's gone to the embassy (ours is in London)? I have two numbers but they are so expensive and Nick has already called them twice which is like $40!!! How can they charge so much for a two minute phone call?!?! I heard someone say you could call the state department? Anyone have a number for that? Anyone phone numbers that anyone could share I would be happy to have. Yes... still waiting... I've just been to Canada to meet him there since I can't get a visa for the US (insufficient ties.. no longer have a job etc... been sitting here waiting for more than 2 yrs in anticipation and unable to commit to long term employment, I also write, but no employer as such). Between us all sorts of hitches and because of the snow storms in the east he was delayed which meant we didn't have much time together, but after all our time apart anything was better than nothing.
