K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Process & ProceduresI'm freaking out :(
Ok guys. Here is the situation. I'm going through VCS and I have my case pending since Feb. 13th. It was last touched on Feb. 22nd. I don't know if I will be asked for an RFE or not but I applied for the case to be processed at the Bulgarian Consulate in Sofia. I'm an International Student here and a graduating senior, therefore I have an expiration date of my visa as being May 30th 2007. Now I really don't know what to do. If it's going to take forever to get an NOA2, should I change to the Romanian Consulate (it's the closest one to Moldova). Or maybe I should just wait and still hope for Bulgaria. Or should I wait 'till it gets to Bulgaria and have them transfer the information to Romania? and if i do, how do I provide the new consulate with a new adress and phone number and all that?
I want to cry. Seriously :(

K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Process & ProceduresMoney

Im still pretty new to this site, Havent visited much lately, although I know i should be sitting here doing nothing but reading for hours on end...ha ha

Anyways, my financee lives in the UK and he sends me money sometimes to help out with the bills here ,,,, will whoever checks us out see that, and therefore deny us because of it..... its not like its a huge sum of money

Just checking :help:

Hm i dont see this as being a problem...As it was already said it's his money to give u. I do know though that the petitioner (the american citizen) has to provide an Affidafit of Support...some 134 ...something form...so it would be shown that u're at, or over the poverty limit. You can always have a co-signer that would guarantee the fact that you have a certain income. So the fact that he sends you the money shouldnt be a problem, but u have to have a certain income to be qualified...
I am not 100% sure. For those reading the thread and know exaclty, please confirm or tell me to be quiet :)))))

yes one sec.
1st and 2nd page- DS-2053
3rd and 4rth page- DS-3024
5th and 6th- DS-3025
7th and 8th- DS 3026

It's for a standard medical examination before the interview sad.gif

The consulate has sent me the form for the medical examination in May this year and the form has an expiration date in the right upper corner 05/31/07
Is it going to be a problem using it anyways? or do I need to get a new form? If yes, where from?
Thank you

Anyway is a restaurant just in front of the embassy (and many close) so will not be a problem if she will wait there. I supose you wont stay more than one hour inside.
Good luck!!!

Hey there guys,
I haven't really thought about it until today. I have my interview in Romania soon. My fiance Mike is flying to Romania with his mom the day before in order for us to have a little reception for my relatives in Moldova. The embassy info states that the fiance can be present at the interview. Will his mom be able to sit somewhere in the embassy while we go through the process? I don't have where to leave her since we're taking the train to Moldova right after the interview?
Thank you

Anybody in this discussion -

Show me where on the I134 form that it says you MUST produce a tax return to prove the income requirements.

The answer to the question tells you why the OP's attorney said not to worry about it.

The more relevant point here is the OP is self-employed and cannot show a pattern of consistent income. The OP has not been 'self-employed' long enough to likely satisfy the affidavit.

In this case, I would prepare myself for joint sponsorship, both at this stage and AOS later next year.

NO MATTER WHAT THE I-134 SAYS AS THEY LOOK AT THE TAX RETURNS !

MAY SHOW SUCH BY THE INTERVIEW TIME. NO REQUIREMENT FOR CONSISTENT INCOME. JUST SO YOU MADE OVER THE MINIMUM POVERTY GUIDELINES FOR THE MOST RECENT YEAR.

In this case, I would prepare myself for joint sponsorship, both at this stage and AOS later next year.
WON'T HURT TO DO SO.

Hey guys,
Wanna specify something since I'm going to the interview next week. When I received my package it had a paper explaining what the I-134 is and what else would be "preferable" to bring with it. It said that along with I-134 there COULD be
1) Bank statement showing the account, the amount and the day it was open
2) Letters from the employers (i guess not necessary in this case)
3) Notarized copies of tax returns
I don't see where you have to include the I-134 in your initial package though. I'm almost positive Mikey hasn't sent one to the USCIS with our initial petition and it was approved...in march this year actually
I just know you need it for the interview

Good luck

Oh and yeah. Many people might mislead you that the Police Certificate has to be legalized at the office of external affairs. Ignore them. They do require that for the Canadian visa issues something something. So everybody does it even when it's not needed. Don't. It's...bull smile.gif

For Moldova particularly. If you are going to get your police certificate do NOT choose it to be in English. The Ministry of Internal Affairs is kinda stupid in Moldova and the translation is wrong!
Have it done it Romanian since the Romanian embassy can read it and to sleep better at night have it translated and legalized. I would recommend you a specific place. Hotlul Cosmos. On the 4th floor the have translation bureau called "Teodonica". They are good, fast and affordable. You can pick up your translation and legalization from the same place the same day usually.
Have your Birth Certificate Translated and legalized and please make at LEAST 3 copies of those. You will need one for embassy, one for AOS application and have one just in case. At least. I'm angry I only did 2...I don't have an extra one now if I need it. God forbid.

exactly...i said i understand gay people....but i dont understand the others that are going through marrying by paying $2,000-$50,000 (by bronze, silver, gold and platinum i meant bronze, silver, gold and platinum, not race, gender or skin color). I was an exchange student living in a black family and that was the most amazing year of my life...one of the greatest bosses and friends i had/have are gary people...i'm studying in an international universiy with ALL and i MEAN ALL types of people....muslims, biddhists, brahmists....asians, black people...
from $2,000-$50,000 i just repeated the quote because it's interesting to see how large the range is...whatever...I would probably the last person to judge anyone because i've been in too many places and have too many different friends

"gay" people are just as human as anyone else. I have served in the Cdn forces with "gay" people and they are just like everyone else. No one should judge another on their skin color, or who they fall in love with.
One may make comments about how different races may be worth more, but the truth when it comes to adopting children, the color of ones skin does matter. Was an article I belive in Time, as wel as a TV show that had it priced out, was pretty sad. No one should be worth more than another person.

r u taking everyone's words as an offense? i have awesome friends that are homosexual...i dont think i, or anyone else said anything negative about them here. we're discussing visa fraud...that's all...i'm off...people seem to compete in pissing each other off in these forums...

just our of pure curiosity...what's the "market price" of finding an american citizen to agree to a visa fraud? was always curious just how desperate some people are

google around.. I recall seeing everything from $2000 to $50000. There were a couple of big busts of organized groups doing this for one specific country not long ago (seattle if you want to look up the news). The message board ones freak me out more than the organized groups! There are also a lot of gay couples that will wind up trading spouses for this purpose--I guess it's the starving baby argument.. their need is great and they have no other hope! (other than all the other, usual ways to immigrate to the US)

I should send that link to my mom.

"See, Mom? SEE! I wasn't making it up that he had to get a visa! I wasn't making it up that he had to get an interview and that we had to prove we'd met! EVEN THOUGH HE'S CANADIAN!"

Super.. I love it!

Some people are obviously expensive :) Bronze american citizens ($2,000), Silver (let's say $20,000), golden ($30,000) and platinum ($50,000) :) cool...ok i understand the gay couples but seriously how can people go so low? dont they have a pride? I'd rather starve

I think they should be arrested for visa fraud...I mean...though no...arrested is kinda cruel....fine is better I guess...but a big huge fine so they would be totally and completely discouraged to look for "canadian, american or uk" "females" to marry and leave Afganistan...:(

The penalties for both parties are steep, worry not.
I saw one that said the couple don't need to live together.. riiiight. You can see how hard it would be to get a fake case through.

ask them. i have no idea. they arrested my dad for no reason for 2 months, took our documents including passports. then after they released him they didnt give back documents or passports, but played around with us. they said they gave us a paper asking us to leave within 30 days. i asked where it was sent, none of us got anything. the mean guy said "to the last address the supreme court had of yours" i asked if he could check what it was, he read off one that was like 6 years old. i said "so if that's the last address they have for us, how did you get HERE?" and he told me to stop argueing with him. for months they'd keep asking us to go to the airport with our luggage, then they sent us right back. berry terminal where it was abandoned. (barry?). anyways, then in court later they laughed and said there was so such paper, and no hard feelings, ok? but by that time we already had to leave. they can do whatever they want, it's completely unconstitutional. and that's why my waiver was approved so nicely, since i didnt do anything wrong, lol. but i've been in canada for 2.5 yrs now, waiting for my humanitarian and compassionate case. they were nice enough to let us in (after 8 hours of paperwork and waiting at the ambassador bridge) cause the us gov't still kept our passports and wouldnt give them back to us.

i wouldnt even BE going back, but since that's where i grew up and all our friends and family are there, i want to go back.

a friend of my parents who got sent back to europe same time (even though they were for many years and had kids there and everyone worked and went to school and all that)... they got approved to come back fast cause of their kids. after being back for less than a month, homeland security came and bothered them again. this time they called their lawyer. they got left alone.

I'm sorry. I understand your frustration. People like judging others withough having any idea about the situation the others are in. It's human...call it psychology :) If you mention anything they are going to try finding negative rather than positive and that's how it's always going to be.
