Removing Conditions on Residency General Discussion	I-751 June 2012 Filers	Hi There, Just getting everything together for the I-751 myself, hoping to mail it off next week. I was reading the instructions that come with the form and it says to include..."Affidavits sworn to or affirmed my at least two people who have know both of you since your conditional residence was granted and have personal knowledge of your marriage and relationship." I was told that I hadn't been scheduled an interview date because I hadn't sent in my document checklist. There is no way on this earth that I didn't send that checklist. Which means they've lost it. So sorry to hear that you've had this set-back. Hopefully they'll be able to sort it out soon and still schedule an interview this month. Fingers crossed for you! David said everything went very smoothly this morning, everyone he dealt with was really nice and he was in and out of the embassy in about an hour. We're both so relieved and happy to have this part of the process over. He probably won't move over till mid-June but it's nice to feel that there's nothing stopping him from coming over as soon as next week if we want! We will write up a review in our timeline later today or tomorrow for those who are interested in the details. Best of luck to all of you getting ready for your own interviews! I visited Europe, but it was like 1 or 2 days in each country every time, should I list that? knowing that there are no stamps on my passport? We just decided to add a supplementary sheet and list all the countries David had traveled into as best we could, even though he had no stamps in his passport for the European ones. Now, Mrs Dog is going to ask one of the most dumb questions ever to be asked in the history of VJ! Be prepared to be shocked at just how dumb Mrs Dog really is.....here I go Original documents to be brought to the embassy on day of interview: Specifically - birth certificates and divorce certificates. Mrs Dogs' dumb question: Obviously it is the beneficiary's documents they want, but do they also want the USC's birth and divorce certificates too? I was just wondering that myself actually, obviously my fiance won't have my original passport with him (as I won't be there), but should he have my original birth certificate? K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Case Filing and Progress Reports	November 2009 filers	In the UK Interviews 2010 thread they said you can call the DOS to find out if the Embassy has received your case - we're going to try, given that calling the Embassy costs £1.20/min and there's a minimum of 15 minutes on the phone......an experience I've already had the joy of from my J1 visa days Miss Jess, do let me know if have been able to fathom out the menu of DOS and found an option to speak to a live person, or even an option to check your status? It has got me beat! I just called DOS and got through surprisingly easily! I called 202-663-1225, I pressed 1 on the first option and then 0 to bypass the next menu and go straight to a live person. I gave our case number and names and she was able to tell me that our case has been received in London and that packet 3 was mailed out on March 8th! So excited about that, we should have it any day. We went ahead and booked the medical today as well, they didn't ask if we had gotten packet 3 yet, they only wanted our case number. My fiance has been calling the NVC since yest and they still do not seem to have our package.Megan what is the update on your's?We have like identical time -lines so yeah I figured maybe they did/will ship ours together. Oh and my fiance says that he is only asked our NOA2 receipt number,not the usual NVC Petitioner/Beneficiary name and birthday fare? I read that they ask the name and birthday questions ,not the receipt number. Hmm anyway ,do keep us posted everyone:) We are very much rooting for you justar and carol and nigel!!! I just got through to NVC tonight (603-334-0700) and they asked for our case number and the names and birthdays of the beneficiary and the petitioner. They were able to tell me when they received our case and when it had been sent out to the embassy but they did not have any tracking information on it and did not know if it had arrived at the embassy yet or not, they told me to call the embassy directly to find out. It still only tells me that our case is under "initial review" and that it was received on November 5th. K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Process & Procedures	Is it ok to be unemployed while trying to bring Fiance to the US?	Hello, My Fiance and I just filed our I 129 last week. I had to put unemployed as my current job status on the G-325. I have a degree in Photography but I'm living with my parents and have no "real" job at the moment (mostly unpaid assisting other photographers in order to prepare for starting my own studio in the future). I don't really have much money of my own at the moment so I don't think I meet the requirements for the I-134 needed but my parents (who I am living with) are fairly well off and willing to fill out a I-864 affidavit of support for my Fiance. Also, my Fiance has a Master's degree and works as an engineer so he has plenty of his own assets and does not actually need my financial support. My question is, will my unemployed status affect the outcome of our K1 application? Or will they take into account that he can support himself or that my parents can? Thanks for your help! I made a timeline of all our visits and I scanned and printed out all of our passport stamps to show those visits really happened. I'm almost done with my package. Tomorrow I'm going to print some photos of us together at a photo place and buy a folder to put all the papers together and an envelope to ship it in. Thanks for your advice. Cool! K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Process & Procedures	Proof on an ongoing relationship sent with the I-129F Package?	One of the things we included was a timeline of our relationship with all of the visits we have had back and forth listed and explained. We then included the copies of each of our passports (all pages) the dates on the entry stamps then back up and confirm our timeline. The nice thing about this is it shouldn't take you very long to put it together because you can have your fiance scan their passport pages and send them to you electronically to print and include in the packet, should be able to it in an afternoon.
