After giving our case number DELBROS discovered the Doc Verification was never sent, so they said it would be sent today. That is a 5 week and 4 day delay. This has caused my wife's visa to be put on AR. Estimated time 4 to 6 weeks. I strongly suggest you call DELBROS after your text message verification to make sure they have forwarded the information. Nobody wants their visa delayed. The phone number is 2-339-2761. Thank you for the great news. Isn't falling in line for like 4 hours and getting the NSO documentation printed on security paper enough??? Philippines	Reunited!	Hello! Finally reunited with my wife...never felt so happy in my life! Arrived here at West Covina last Wednesday and was picked up by my wife and her sister. POE was at LAX and did not encounter any problems upon arrival. Spring has come and the weather so nice here... For those whose POE is LAX, K-1 and K-3 visa holders should fall in line at the "visitor" counters which would be counters 4,5,6,7 and 8. 1,2 and 3 are reserved for immigrant visa holders (IR-1/CR-1). I actually went to counter 1 and was directed by one of the Border Security officer to go to either counter 7 and 8. Aside from that, i was ok all the way out. Processing was straightforward - i submitted my Visa Package envelope ("do not open" envelope), passport, filled up I-94 and Customs declaration form to the officer assigned at Counter 7. She just asked me the ff. questions: "If my wife was here at California", "If she was from Philippines too" and "If we have kids". I was done in like 10 to 15 mins... Anyways, we wouldn't have done it without the help of all the VJers out here! Thanks again and i do hope you have a very successful Visa Journey! Now on to AOS and EAD... Philippines	Age difference between Filipinas and americans (Poll)	Michelle (USC) is 26 turning 27 this August 27. I am 28 turning 29 this September 23. 2 year and 1 month difference between us. But i really do notice that Filipinas prefer older foreign nationals probably because there are very ready to settle down. I guess i am one of the few in this trail who married a full blooded Filipina (who also grew here in the Philippines) but is at the same time a "naturalized" USC. Anyways, age does not matter for me. Beauty is in the eye of the beholder as they say. And as long as you LOVE each other then that is OK (did not marry just for the Green Card - joke ). We just got married recently (May 2007) and i may be a rookie on this matter, all i can say is that marriage is not a joke - you have to work for it and be patient, caring, understanding, trustful and loving. US Embassy and Consulate Discussion	Invalid Marrieage	Hi There Martinbr, In the Philippines, there is a certificate called a CENOMAR which means "Certificate of No Marriage". Ask one for her - this will certify that she has not been married before. You can get this from NSO for a very minimal fee. This is a requirement for marriages in the Philippines. Hope this helps! Removing Conditions on Residency General Discussion	I-751 August filers, 2010	I was able to bring my 2 yr old daughter with me at our biometric appointment in Stafford Tx. You can try to go for an early biometric walk in if your ASC office is close to you. People have been successful with trying to go to the ASC office early in the morning or on a day when ASC is not busy. We did an early biometric walk in and in another state. The staff at our ASC did not ask any questions and we were in and out in 10 mins. I have a 9 month old and he gets a little bit too squirmy and cranky at times. but i think ill be fine...thanks for sharing! I'll try to come in earlier... Philippines	Questions on Passport	Hi Guys, I opted to post this question here instead on the K-3 Forum since this is about my passport and i believe you guys can answer this . I just recently moved this June to a new address, however my passport reflects the old address that i have. Also, my passport is about to expire this coming 2008 and from what i have learned is that you get a 2-year non-immigrant visa when you apply for K-3. My question is: Do i need to renew my passport as early as now so that my new address will be reflected on the new one? This might also affect the K-3 visa that will be granted to me (as soon as it is approved, of course!) since there will be an overlap of 1 year if i do not renew now (read: passport valid up to 2008 only, K-3 non-immigrant visa valid up to 2009 in case it gets issued within the year). Philippines	where to stay in boracay	We've been there last July and it was just awesome!!! My advice is that try not to do an advanced booking but look for a suitable place to stay there when you're there already (talk about a road trip!). Find nice hotels at the beachfront in between Station 1 and Station 2 - that's where all the gigs happen! Philippines	PNB Remittance	My wife and i opened a PNB account and this is where she sends money to me when i need it. But we don't do it online...my wife goes to a PNB branch near her place and remits the money there though. We just use the online thingy to verify our account. Safer that way...i believe PNB has plenty of branches...just check the one nearest to you. My wife had problems with online payments (not with PNB though) and she dared not risk to do it again. From an I.T. perspective (i'm an I.T. guy hehehe!), if you're going to do it online, do it using your own computer and never use a public computer.
