I also like the red dress in white for you , as you mentioned that you wanted a tea length dress previously. This dress is more of a conventional and sassy look. I would like to see a pic of it in white so I can see how the adornments look in that color. Is it sequins or beads and is it lined? That could be a definite factor in the heat but the lining can always be removed? Also the right accessories and wear your hair in an up sweep, could set this look off nice as well. good.gif

I don't think they have a pic in white but you can 'zoom in' for a better look. I'm not responsible for anyone 'online shopping' for the next hour after going to this link! whistling.gif innocent.gif laughing.gif

</a>

I just looked at the pic its definitely sequins, it doesn't appear to be lined either and the fabric is breathable. which dress do you think you would be more comfortable in?

I think I'd probably be more comfy in the cotton (pink) dress, especially if it's 100+ degrees outside! I'll have to think about it a little more and see if I must have it. I'm too lazy to find places like David's Bridal and go out shopping. I also don't think any wedding gown places have anything but sleeveless dresses.... So it go....

Cotton will be a lot cooler than "mystery" fabrics for sure

I don't know what you're willing to spend and I only have one recommendation since I don't know any Mobay hotels. We stayed one night at Coyaba Resort....it was very nice! A little on the pricey side but had everything on the property and was about 15 minutes from the airport by taxi.

Jonesie---wagwan! Hubby and I have stayed several times at El Greco. 'Manya turned me on to that place. It's definitely cool, and comfortable and reasonably priced. Always clean & spacious, and they have a restaurant on-site if u wanna eat there. It's right on the strip, about 5 minutes from the airport. I think it's about $110/night for a room w/ a full kitchen. Cheaper if you just want the room w/o kitchen. good.gif

I've read mixed reviews but the kitchen is a huge plus - thanks will check this also.

Shemmy, you might see him - I think we're gonna spend our last night in Jamaica in Montego Bay since I opted for an early departure (we leave at 11am, so we'll reach back home at 6pm) and want to be close to the airport. Where will you be? You know after ATI I'm going back to St. Ann.

True. When we filed it took about 6 months to go from USCIS receiving our paperwork to the approval in Kingston. Some yardies that filed the same time as me were approved faster, others that filed before me were delayed. There really is no rhyme or reason to their method, all you can do is make sure your submissions (paperwork and evidence) are on point and triple checked once yo do decide to file.

I was unders the same impression - but I think it's bull to make someone file for AP and EAD. Hubby's EAD came almost two months before conditional GC but employers wouldn't hire him because they said they needed the GC. In any case, I hope that EAD's are processed faster since they are required to be paid for now.

I know that if I chose CR1 the wait is longer and that will lead to more travel expenses and phone calls etc.

Exactly. There are no "benefits" between choosing one over the other when the deciding factor comes down to money. You may decide to do K3 or CR1, but what happens when airfare has increased by so much it's impossible to get a ticket? With the way our economy is now, there's no telling how the travel industry will be impacted. From someone who was in your shoes almost four years ago when deciding to file, I say talk with your man and get his input. The decision that you make will affect him too. Money will come and go, but the time spent away from a loved one cannot be replaced. Good luck with your decision.

Plus -
Sunday - yoga class...kinda rest day
Monday - kickboxing class
Tuesday - dancehall belly dance class
Wednesday - rest
Thursday - toning and conditioning class and hip hop belly dance
Friday - dancehall belly dance class - praciting for recital so not much cardio involved...kinda rest day
Saturday - dancehall belly dance - African dance or striptease - then practice for recital

Thanks all,

Yea it was an awful time. I had started to post timeline here as we started it, then everything just rather blew up and I have no idea of what day what happened except mom's death. We also had a car accident the day of her viewing at the hospital and gave Lake and myself whiplash and back probs, and almost missed the whole thing. Yea and they waited THREE months to send the stupid RFE...

All I know was it was a bit TOO much getting a darned RFE at that time and I just put it off up til the deadline of another three months, I just couldnt deal. I know exactly what it was tho, I hadnt sent in last years taxes, since it was January and I didnt have them done yet. So on top of all that, had to get the taxes done before I sent it in. Yea, it was a totally horrid year.

I think Rhonda and myself are about the same time line, real close. Been awhile since I seen Elizabeth, Rhonda, Mindy, and all our old friends. smile.gif I found this thread and was totally thrilled!

As for Lake and I, we get along great, no probs, except the man still never talks much. OH, and he JUST passed that goshdarned GED I used to complain about for the last three years. I must say, he kept at it and tried and tried and studied. It was so heartbreaking, as he had to have a total of 450 between all the test scores and he was raising it from like 420 ...TWO points at a time. His graduation ceremony is December 18th and I am SO PROUD of him.

So tell your men to keep after it!

Jill
