Do you know if she needs to get one from UAE as well? What stage are you in now? Did you go through California? So happy to find someone with my exact circumstance!! I just got my NOA1 in the mail today! A small step, but still, I am excited. Hopefully her NBI report won't expire by the time your fiance reaches her interview. But if it does, she can mail it back to someone in PI and getting a fresh one will be easier. Yes she will also need to get one from UAE, but she will be instructed how and where to apply for one. A few of my big fears were laid to rest tonight thanks to all of you. I will undoubtedely have more questions as this process moves on. Sadly it seems California is the slow one in approving and that is where I live. Once again I truly do appreciate all of you for taking the time to help me. Hey Matt! Good luck with the process! We have very much the same/similar situation. My fiance is also filipina living in UAE. They will process either through Dubai (fairly sure) or Abu Dhabi. Either way, in UAE. She may need family back in PI to obtain her NBI (criminal background check) and possibly other documents such as birth certificate. But she won't need to go back in order to get here. I am still a newbie so won't give a lot of advice, but make sure you send in all 4 pages of the G-325A. You might squeak by with one (which is all they use) like William33 and others, and I, having made that particular boo boo hope to. But... Do it right, send in all four pages! Again, good luck! Triple check everything, mail it in after making at least 2 copies (I did that and scanned everything as well) and do so via UPS or USPS certified mail. K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Process & Procedures	not sure if her passport photo will work	My fiance sent me a photo that I felt was questionable as well. It was too washed out, and when printed the proper size was too grainy. To me it looked touched up, although no fake suit had been added. I asked her to go back and get a new one, she emailed it the next day, and that photo printed beautifully and that is what I sent. As others also advise, don't take a chance on an RFE. You can do it via email if she goes to get another one, and make sure she has the exact specifications to ask for. Mine had a heck of a time explaining to the photographer what she needed, but she had clear instructions from me and got what we needed. I would defer to the advice of some of the more veteran people on here, but from what you have said, I would be very suprised if you would have any problem at all. I don't know if J and I will be lucky and the process will be quick, or months from now we will still be waiting for NOA2. But I have loved this woman since the day I met her, and with the exception of our recent in person visit, all of that time has been spent half a world away. I know we will be disappointed if the wait gets unreasonable, but that sooner or later she will be here. Unrelated to our K-1 application, there has been an ongoing turmoil in my personal life, regarding custody of my two children from a previous marriage. Today I learned that our guardian ad litem agrees with me, the kids should be primarily with me. J has been nothing but a source of strength throughout this ordeal, and always told me things would work out. Our K-1 journey may be long or short, but I know what I have always known about J... She is that very special person that can only come once in a lifetime, and more often than not, we miss out on that person. I won't be missing out, J will be here. The kids will be here. Perhaps I should just send it in and see what happens. I just dont want anymore delays. I already know its gonna take forever to do this whole thing. Anyway thank you for the help. They added a check box, yes or no, as to whether or not you have arranged your marriage by a paid marriage broker. K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Process & Procedures	passport style photographs	Matt, have her get new ones done, but have her ask the photographer to do them 5 cm by 5 cm's and put it on disk so she can email you. You can have them printed here, and save about 10 days in the mailing process. You will do plenty of waiting when your application gets to the California Service Center. And I would suggest being picky about the photo you send of her as well. I had J do that when the original passport photo she sent didn't quite measure up (hers would have been too grainy and washed out in my opinion.) K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Process & Procedures	After all the IMBRA, forgot the fee's needed for med and interview	As I understand it, the packet from the embassy will tell her all she needs to know about where to get her medical exam done (and perhaps even the fee.) It should also explain the fee for the visa. I know about the Philippine airport exit ransom because I had to send emergency money to J last year when she left PI to go to the United Arab Emirates! And I believe that is over and above the cost of the airline tickets, not included in them. She should be able to find out pretty easily what that particular fee will be with a phone call to the airline. We're all pulling for you! Well, sorry if I confused you. I am absolutely no expert, which was how I started off my post. I would say you should at the very least consult with an attorney either at visacentral or the site I suggested to see if your fiance even got tagged as an overstay. http://www.ilw.com/ I hope not! Before spending big bucks on an attorney for what may be no issue at all you could try this site: http://www.ilw.com/ You can chat will immigration attorneys there and find out if this is truly an issue which will cause a need for hiring an attorney. From your fiances story, I gathered she lost her job after 911, and stayed in the US for about a year after that, but returned home well before her work visa expired. The best revenge you can get on CSC is to hold on a little longer, get your approval. Then come here, marry your beloved and live a long and happy life together!
