You can write see attachments, and then flesh out the meetings (face to face) you two have had in the last two years on a new sheet of paper, or two.

Just remember to add all the documentation of the visits i.e. plane tickets, hotel reservations, receipts from your spending, cash machine receipts are assume too. Anything to prove you two were together, in the same place at the same time. (VJ has a great set of tips on what to include with your K-1 application, I would check it out too in the guides.)

Include photo's of you two together as well, but they are less important than the above items...

Good luck on your journey!

K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Process & ProceduresNo back on the birth certificate?
Mine was from CO and only had a front as well. I wrote, nothing on the back on my copy when I submitted it.

You should be fine, although I recommend spelling it out for the adjudicator.

I am obviously not in the same boat as most who replied to your post, yet!, but I am concerned and do care about all of you who have been made to wait so incredibly long for a process that obviously can be done in a matter of mere weeks.

Hang in there, hopefully approvals for all March/April filers will come soon!

I suspect you should file as a WA reisdent if your permanent residence and mailing address is in WA.

Correct, if your residency is WA then you send your application to Nebraska...

K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Process & ProceduresNOA2 received..what is next...

Do you need another signed original of the letter of intent to marry, or can a copy of the first one do? I mean, is copied signature alright?

Correct, you need a brand new letter of intent, original, written by your fiance in the USA.

Congratulations on the NOA2 daisy111!!!   And good luck on the rest of your journey!

Before reading too much into it, there is no reason for him not to send the original I-129F petition, but he could simply be confused. You don't have to have it, especially if you know him well, but there is information which could pertain to questions you get asked at the interview. I would want him to send it if I were you.

K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Process & ProceduresHelp? Newbie here
Hello and welcome! Nope, your case is in the loving hands of the California Service Center, and since you have received nothing from them as of yet, you can consider your situation quite normal... Sorry to say...

Hang in there and be patient... CSC eventually gets around to all of its files!

Unless you paid someone to arrange your marriage, you answered correctly about the marriage broker.

Gary,

Did you just cut off this list at the last approval date? I just missed the cut by a couple days.

Yeah, I cut it off at the last approval date. It gets way to long if I do them all.

I was on the list, now off the list... But it makes sense, you decision to cut off by the last approval date so I won't be totally crushed anymore...

Believe me when I say CSC does a good enough job of making me feel like J and I are non-entities! ;)

CSC is definately on the slow side. Don't worry too much, and hang in there. Returned RFE's appear to be a better signal your case may be coming to conclusion and NOA-2 getting issued than touches.

Good luck and speedy approval to you!

K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Process & Proceduressending I129F in a binder?
The most you might consider doing is two hole punching your submission for them, and clipping it all together with an ACCO fastener. Anything more will just be extra work for the processor to remove and discard.

Good luck on your journey! I remember how excited I was to finally send off our application.

K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Process & ProceduresNOA1
Hey Matt, yep it can be a while before you get your paper NOA1 in the mail. You will likely get your mailing receipt first. On the plus side, your NOA1 date won't be affected by the mailing delay, it should be within a few days of the center receiving your application.

K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Process & ProceduresI feel like crying. Guh.

Wow Kirsten,

Well excuse me, I was not making a smug comment I merely think that at this early on in the process to be complaining is rather pointless when there have been people waiting for months. I am five months pregnant but I do not have time to ###### and waste energy complaining about the process as I recognise that I am dealing with bureaucracy and my complaining is not going to speed up the process. You are telling me to keep my comments to myself yet you are on here complaining because you have not been approved in a month! Please get a grip, and trust me I can bet that 95% of the people on here have problems that is life.

Kirsten L, you filed on August 1st and you are already feeling discouraged! You have a long way to go yet!

As for you, spiritee, do you mean to imply that my feelings are not valid because I haven't been in the visa line as long as you? I haven't seen my fiancé in seven and a half months already, regardless of my filing date. And there's a lot more going on in my life right now that you have no idea about that contributes to my feeling discouraged about the long wait that likely lies ahead. I would respectfully and politely request that you simply respect the feelings of myself and others on this board by keeping smug and self-satisfied comments to yourself. Emotions are emotions. Everyone has a right to their own. And you are not the arbiter of such things.

spiritee you do seem to be lashing out.

Even those of us who filed just a month ago have reason to be concerned and/or depressed as to our prospects of approval via CSC. And yes, some such as yourself at VSC get the same horrendous delay in approval. I for one did not go into this expecting instant approval and am keeping my hopes alive that perhaps we will get lucky.

But those such as yourselves who have gone before and experienced unreasonable delays in approval do make it hard to always be chipper even after waiting just a month. The sympathy I feel for those who have experienced long delays in approval, such as yourself, creates exactly the feeling which leads to the fear it could happen to us...

Kirsten is, in my experience, a kind and thoughtful person. Perhaps you could make some effort to be perceived that way yourself?

K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Process & ProceduresI feel like crying. Guh.
I completely understand the sentiments expressed. I don't resent the fortunate beneficiaries of Vermont, but it is hard to take the fact that with California our application could languish for months for no other reason beyond not filing in Vermont... There in lies the rub...

I work hard to be positive, and love the contact I do have with my fiance. At the same time, each contact there is the question 'Any news on our application?' And I have to work to keep sounding hopeful while explaining... Sorry dear, our file is in California and while we could be approved any day it could also be months... Even a phone call over a week ago to fix a minor issue with my address on our NOA1 has so far failed to even generate a touch... I fight the feeling our case has entered a black hole from which it may never return... :(

Hold no bitterness to Vermont's lucky customers... Save it for CSC!!! ;) (God I hope they shock me soon and make me eat those words!)

Wow! How did you get help so early in the wait? Amazing! But, assuming the information you got was correct you should get something soon either by mail, email or posted on the update page.

Good luck! And more power to you if you get your NOA2 in about 3 months! That is still too long, but compared to the poor Feb/March/April filers still waiting, not too shabby! Gives me some hope.

K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Process & ProceduresCan I begin the process now???
Always best to have everything right on the first shot. Mistakes can be made, and the RFE god's are fickle, so best not to tempt the fates...

Good luck on your journey and perhaps have her do a rush mailing of the missing items. Otherwise, with your gaps you are virtually guaranteed an RFE.

K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Process & ProceduresI gotta ask...
The 'IMBRA thing' will affect you in terms of CSC still working on their backlogged files, and generally being slower than Vermont Service Center anyway. But your actual case won't be affected because you will be using the newest form.

Good luck on the journey! Hurry up and wait!

K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Process & ProceduresNot Accepted because not Properly Signed
Unfortunately you got the 'make copies' part, but they need the originals of some items, such as the I-129F and G-325A's, as well as letters of intent, so that would be the reason for your rejection. You can resubmit the original documents asap.

Good luck, probably a small blip, and try again!

I would certainly hope so! And wow, quite a story. There appears to be little rhyme or reason to the approval application process and clearing out the older applications appears to be a priority. Hold on a little while longer, which I am sure is very difficult, but your approval will indeed come.
