K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Process & Procedures	NOA2	Thanks so much to everyone who took the time to say congratulations. This place is so amazing. Ok, to update the custody trial portion of this amazing day. Monday and Tuesday we had a two solid days of custody trial hearings. Today we had closing arguments and heard the Judge's decision, which will be put into written form by my attorney in the next day or so. I have been given the role of primary custodial parent, with my x having very limited visitation, and based on the criminal (but not charged) actions of my x the Judge set a status hearing for three months out so he can hear MY assessment of how my x is doing with regards to her parenting ability, her ability to cooperate, and also obey his orders. In other words, based on what I have to say, her level of visitation will either go up or down. I will remain the custodial parent regardless. I sincerely hope, but doubt my x was understanding exactly what the Judge was saying. Time will tell. I was chatting with J two days ago. I told her that I had a funny feeling that our NOA2 would arrive today. I was equally confident, and so was J , that today would end with me being the primary custodian of my children. She kept asking me "Really? Do you know?" I said I couldn't 'know' but yes, something was just telling me that was what would happen today. I came home for lunch, to give myself time to think before the closing argument and decision phase of our Custody trial and found the NOA2. I walked out of the court room with primary custody. The Abu Dhabi consulate is going to get some very interesting support documentation with regards to my intentions to marry J as the Order issued today will make clear as a bell, no way this man would even joke about getting married again if he was not absolutely confident in the choice of his next spouse. Today was truly an amazing day, and the only two days I can imagine coming anywhere close to this feeling will be the day I pick J up at the airport, and the day that we marry. Thanks all for taking the time to either read or congratulate us. Again, mahal na mahal kita sinta ko J who has stood by me always, and who has been for such a long time someone I have been so close to regardless of geography. K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Process & Procedures	NOA2	WE GOT IT, NOA2!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Approved October 13, 2006! It arrived today via snail mail... no emails.... no status change other than touches.... In less than two hours I will be in court to finish a custody trial which has gone on over two years.... I told J two days ago I had a feeling both would be resolved the same day... today! She has been the biggest reason I have survived the trials and tribulations my x has put me through, I am feeling so fortunate. I will follow up this post with an update on the custody decision later today. To all who have been so helpful and supportive, THANK YOU! To all still waiting, good luck, your time is coming too! K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Process & Procedures	Processing Times...	One VJ member theorized that the processing in CSC involved putting glue on the application folders, throwing them up to the ceiling... When they fell, they considered processing them... If this is true, perhaps they have switched to a stronger glue??? Honestly, there is no excuse or rational explaination for why Vermont can often turn around and approve a K-1 application faster than CSC can mail out a NOA1... Don't bust your brain trying to figure them out. Double check the guides, send in your application, and hope for CSC's best effort... Good luck on your journey! K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Process & Procedures	Approval/Decision after 2nd RFE	Hello, Just a quick two questions about this thread: We got asked for additional information (aka 2nd RFE), they just wanted photos and my passport photo They wanted the passport photo of the beneficiary?? Is this another common RFE for information they don't tell you to include in the original submission (like the birth certificate of the beneficiary)? If so, hypothetically, what if the beneficiary doesn't have a passport yet? When my fiance sent in the information for the 2nd RFE I think he forgot to put our names on the back of the photos of us together but they are dated Are the passport size photos supposed to be dated? The I-129F instructions says to include the name on the back, but is the date necessary? I do realize they are supposed to have been taken within 30 days, but should this be specified on the back? Anybody include only the Names OR Dates and had problems? Thank you. I made a few common mistakes in submission and received no RFE's. One G-325A being the biggest boo boo. They only need one, but sending in all 4 pages for each party is the best way to do it... We got lucky there. For my passport photo, it was done at a local drug store and dated on the back by them, I penciled in my name. Her passport photo was unusable, so she went to get a new one done, emailed it to me and I printed it at home, again writing her name on the back in pencil but not dated if I recall correctly. We got no RFE's on those. (I think the first passport photo she sent would have been unacceptable.) As to adding the beneficiary birth certificate or passport copies, it seems to be a rare RFE and those here at the site who determine suggestions for the guides are debating adding them for inclusion in the guides for filing as well. We didn't. Again, no RFE's. I don't see how they would hurt if you have them consider including them. It depends on the adjudicator I suppose, what they feel is important, their mood etc. I would recommend highly double checking your submission against the guides found on here. I would say keep both copies, but stick with the first approval date. Send Jinky both, and any more approvals you get for her interview... Bizarre, but doesn't sound like a bad thing!
