What does my Future father in law have to right down as far as "Relationship to ......"? Can he put future daughter in law and future step grandson?
Or what is he supposed to write down in that line?
Also what documents except for his W2's,his BC,Pay Stubs and the Company Letter do we need from him???

As far as I know my Fiance has to fill out two forms of I 134,one for me and one for my son ,right?
Well so does he have to list me on my son's form on question 9?? (Given that he prepares my form first?) And also about question 10-date of submission: is that the NOA1 date or the date we sent the Petition to CSC????
Thanks

US Embassy and Consulate DiscussionEmployers Letter
OK so now I got all the papers from my man inclufding bank statements,Pay Stubs and the I 134's..........BUT,the letter from his Company is completley screwed up,we have asked thjem (in writing) for the Emplyoment Verification Letter saying that it has to state when he was employed, whether the position is part or fulltime, his annual Income and so on....WELL,all the sent us was a Letter stating when he was hired ,that he works fulltime and that he makes 8,07 hourly for straight hours and 26$ for overtime hours...........
Now his Pay is a bit weird because for the first 40 hours he works he gets 8,07$ an hour PLUS 680$ Per Diem, for hour 40-50 he gets 26$ plus from hour 50 on a 25% Bonus and then again 26$ from hour 50 to 60.
They are working 60 hours each week which is mandatory,so all together he has an Income of 78 000$ a year, but it does not state anything like that and the Company will not issue us anything else than what they sent us...........
On the Affidavit of Support he wrote down 54 600$ in GROSS Income annually...........
I don't know but this smells ike trouble to me.
Someone with advice outthere????????????
As I said we HAVE the Paystubs that show how much he's bringing home and the Bank Statements showing how much is being deposited each week from the Company e works for.........

US Embassy and Consulate DiscussionHad Interview in FRA yesterday
OK so we had our Interview in Frankfurt yesterday and it went somewhat wrong due to the K2 for my son......
My son's biologigal father is a USC whom I have never been married to,who never signed papers acknowleding the child r anything.........
Anyways, mistake numbe one was that I didn't bring my son to the Interview with me due to Info I had that kids unde the age of 14 do not have to attend the Interview....WRONG INFO-ALL CHILDREN TRAVELING WITH YOU OR FOLLOWING YOU HAVE TO ATTEND THE INTERVIEW REGARDLESS OF AGE,
and the big thing was that as I said my son's faher is a USC who is listed on my son's BC,so I was told that my boy might be ineligable for a Visa since he may be eligable for Citizenship.........
I got the green slip and was sent up to Citizenship Services, luckily I had Court Papers with me that explained that the USC father NEVER signed any papers for the child and has never acknowledged him as his child.Due to that my son has (as for right now) no claim to US Citizenship and can obtain a Visa for the USA.
The staff in FRankfurt was VERY nice ,understanding and helpful as well as fast.I had the no claim paper within 2 hours and the rescheduled our Interview for next Monday at 8am.
The Consul Officer told me they just need to see my son and kept all paperwork. So by Monday we will get our Visas.
But if anyone of you has a K2 child,MAKE SURE TO BRING IT WITH YOU FOR THE INTERVIEW!!!!!!!
Info on some embassy websites are missleading.
And make sure that if your child has a USC father/mother that the child's citizenship is crystal clear if you don't want to possibly be delayed for monthjs. That would have happened to us if I wouldn't have had Court Papers with me.
I'm sure not all Consulates are as helpful and nice as Frankfurt.

Hi all,
it has been quite a while since I posted something.......
well I just want to know under what circumstances it would be possible to pick up a K1 Visa in persoon at the Frankfurt Consulate.I e mailed the Consulate and they told me that decision would be made during the Interview on Wednesday......
Frankfurt has been extremly helpful in our very difficult case ,but that question they couldnt answer.....Also is there a waiting time when I get the Visa until I can use it? I plan to fly out the day after I have received the Visa.
Thanks for any info

US Embassy and Consulate DiscussionKids with Attention Deficit Disorder
I have the same problem. And even though my son has a severe case of ADHD ,we had no problems at all with the medical.
Actually ADHD kids are WAY better off in the USA since their treatment and school system is MUCH better for kids like that in the States.
Just a little example from my son,
he is almost 8 years old ,his "school" (regular elementary) kicked him out and wanted to force me to put him into a Psychiatric Childrens Hospital.luckily the Doctor there is a very smart man who told me that if possible I should move to the US asap because in Germany my son does not have a future.
Luckily my Fiance has had a severe case of ADHD himself when he was a child and therefor understands the difficulties my son has and so does his family.
So all in all,do not worry about the medical and be glad that you are moving to the US with your child.
good Luck to you

US Embassy and Consulate DiscussionI-134 worries, and interview dates
Hello fellow VJers,

I'm so glad that I found this website to research all this visa stuff thoroughly, and as not to worry so much. I just sent off the very first forms, the I-129F and G-325A on February 10th.

OK. The things that I am worried about are as follows.

My mother is going to co-sponsor my Greek Fiance, and lives across the country at the moment. I have a lot of family (brothers, sisters, father) who live much closer, but my mother is the best candidate, as she is supportive of only herself.

I'm wondering if I can have more than one sponsor for the I-134 Affidavit of Support, including myself? My mind would be more at ease, if I could just get paper work from closer distances, than from 3000 miles away with my mother, if the need comes up. I'm also just worrying that it will come down to the last moment, and I will be frantic for paperwork, and it will be in the mail.

Another fun worry of mine.

My fiance is currently in the mandatory Greek army for one year. When he receives the information regarding his interview, will he have any leniency on when to show up for the interview? He will have to schedule time off and go back to his home city of Athens, Greece, from possibly even Cyprus. I do know that when he is issued the visa finally, that he has 6 months in which to enter the United States. This isn't as much of a problem, because as I hear, the paperwork takes about 9 months, giving him enough time to get out of the army, and come on over.

Thank you everyone in advance if anyone can manage my questions. biggrin.gif

US Embassy and Consulate DiscussionCo-signer for I-134
Hello Vjers,

I am waiting on my NOA2, and was trying to start getting together documents and papers for the I-134.

I know that if I have a co-sponsor for the affidavit of support for the I-134, that we each need to fill out our own separate forms. I am wondering though about how our income will be determined. If my sister is a co-sponsor for the affidavit; will it be our incomes combined to show 125% above the poverty level? As it is now, she is married with a baby. Bother her and her husband work and I am independent but living under my father and step-mothers roof. (They are not able to do the affidavit due to my fathers work.) I have a job also, but I work at a grocery store currently and do not make the 125% above on my own.

Thank you for anyone that can answer, or is just reading up! biggrin.gif

Do I need to do a DS156 & DS-156K for our K-1 visa? Do we both do one? It looks like it is to be e-filed now, if so -EVAF. It also looks like there will be a barcode that she gets to take to her interview for some purpose.

For nonimmigrant K visa applications. Is that the same as our K-1 visa petition?

I see those forms in the form downloads page but not in the K-1 guide or timeline pages. When are they to be filed and what is their purpose?

US Embassy and Consulate DiscussionInterview concern
I-694 looks like it might be an option in some cases, but I'm not sure about the- amnesty program provisions -part.

From USCIS site;
This form is used to notify U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services that an alien denied permanent residence, temporary residence or a waiver of grounds of excludability under the amnesty program provisions of the Immigration Reform and Control Act of 1986 (IRCA) is appealing the decision to the Director of USCIS.

Anyway, I think all us newbies come here looking for a backdoor in case the front door is slammed in our loves' faces

THANKS EVERYONE!! This site is awesome! The reason I asked is because I am actually getting helped by an older woman who helps a lot of people with their visas. Are you putting into the portfolio for USCIS website? Because if it is at the NVC stage then that won't work...

Technically you are out of the CSC's hands... you would just have to call them (NVC) to see when your case is shipped to the beneficiary's country...Usually it doesn't take but days. Mine got sent to Mexico after 2 days.. good.gif

Thanks smile.gif

Yea... we won't buy his plane ticket to Washington until he has his visa in hand. Just in case. Also, he isn't quiting until after wards. I recommend to wait. Even if a notice isn't given at work, who cares? smile.gif I hope everything goes smoothly. So far Jorge told me that he doesn't have his police certificate translated headbonk.gif He can be a dork. SOmetimes I wonder!!! That's why I am so glad I got the packet instead. He's not so good with this kind of stuff no0pb.gif

So he has that to worry about.

I am soooooooooo going to put pink stickies that say "COPY!!" laughing.gif

So he will buy his plane ticket on Tuesday, after we find out when he will receive the packet that I send him. I have to ask UPS to see if they can over night ship there. Too bad they are closed tomorrow!! huh.gif Oh well. I have EVERYTHING ready. I need 2 signatures from mY supervisor, and that's it!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I am so excited smile.gif

Thanks for your responses.

I will send copies and originals of all. Just in case they need it. I won't send receipts though. I'll just send Plane tickets and luggage claim tags... that should be enough. The rest is phone bills, emails, phone cards, letters etc. I will pop in some more pics in there too.

US Embassy and Consulate DiscussionPreparing for the Interview
Hello-

So I am preparing all the documents for Jorge's interview for next week. I have a few questions:

*Should I send him the Original NOA1 and NOA2? Or will a copy do just fine?

*Should I send him Original receipts from my vacation to Mexico, Plane tickets, clothe tags...and all of that? Or are copies ok? We have submitted these copies with the initial filing of I 129 F.

Will they want to keep the originals of my receipts..? I would really like to keep them for scrap booking....

How can I assure myself that they will not keep my originals? I am going to send Jorge my Birth Certificate from puerto rico.... he will take a copy and the original of pretty much everything... but how can i assure that they won't keep those docs.... I don't care if they keep the copies, but since I am not going... I am worried!
I also sent him the original phone bills since January.... will I be needing those after the interview for anything else? Should I keep a copy for myself?

I am so excited because he is going to fly on Sunday the 7th!!! Go to his medical exam on Monda, and Wednesday he will go to the interview. Hopefully they will give him the Visa that day or the day after so he can fly back to Mexico City on Thursday Evening. He will say his goodbyes and come to Washington Saturday and arrive Sunday. Something like that is what we are shooting for. smile.gif

Thanks in advance!!!

OK so i am just about ready to send my papers to Jorge for the interview.
Sorry if this post is confusing...

I have a question....

... on the last page of the form, it says,
" i swear that I know the contents of this........................ is correct. Signautre
Subscribed and sworn to before this date at _______________________." What am I supposed to put after AT?

"My commission expires ___________." What do I put after Expires??

Signature of Officer Administering Oath_______________." Whose name goes there? Mine, or the notary?

Title........ The person notarizing my form is my supervisor.... what would be the proper title?

I hope this makes sense!!!!

Thanks!!

Another question...
I am having my supervisor sign an employment letter that I made up; does this letter need to be notarized by another pary? Does it need to be notarized at all?

Thanks again..

Hello- I replied to you privately earlier... but I still think it was because the story was changed. I actually did meet my fiance through his uncle too. That is what we put on paper for the initial filing because we are not going to lie. I didn't even think about that being a problem. I think I will be ok because that was our original story and it is approved. I don't think it has anything to do with a family member, I think it's the story change. I am very sorry this happened.
