K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Case Filing and Progress Reports	February Filers!	Where have you seen those from the 6th and 7th who haven't received anything after their NOA1? It would make me feel a lot better to know that I'm not the only one... I had to wait until my checks were returned to me to be able to read my case #. So just tonight I saw that my case was entered on 2-15 and touched 2-23-07. I guess it was touched ... it says; "Last Updated 2-23-07" so I assume that's a touch. I could previously ONLY see a 2-20-07 date on the faxed copy of the back of my check. K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Case Filing and Progress Reports	February Filers!	i'm so disappointed right now... i've been waiting, and waiting for my renewed passport to arrive so i can send in the i-129f. i even paid for it to be expedited (which was supposed to be within two weeks!!) so i called the passport office today to check on the status. its not even registered in their computer yet, which means it hasn't even been looked at and could take two MORE weeks! it looks like now i'm not going to make the 18th deadline for the old forms. dammit. time to find someone to write my fiance's address in arabic on the new form. thats the least of my worries though... i just wanted to get my application out already!!!!!! wahhhhhhhh :9 Well that just sucks! Did you call your local federal building/office about it. Try another site maybe (national or local). Also -is there a Mediteranian restaurant near you? Or a University? Maybe a mosque... K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Case Filing and Progress Reports	February Filers!	Question for y'all: How did you organize your papers? I punched two holes in the top and planned on attaching them with one of those metal fasteners, but it turns out the holes are too far apart. Any alternate suggestions? And I was going to affix sticky tabs to the bottom with the different types of info so they could be flipped to easily...but then I was thinking that they might not like having a sticky tab on things like the I129F form. Any ideas? Or does this sound okay? After wrestling with the fasteners and realizing that the holes were too far apart, I started writing the check. Hadn't noticed that I had given myself a papercut and proceeded to bleed all over the check. Unbelievable. Staples has a squeeze clamp report notebook. Have some serious business at Kinko's today to get boarding passes and color photos copied! Luckily kitkat gave us a heads up that the new I129F form is now ready. Anyone else??? Good luck! K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Case Filing and Progress Reports	Patiently Waiting	Hey Everyone! I'm glad there is a chat site for this topic because I find myself searching the web for answers constantly. I am currently in the process of waiting for an answer for the fiance visa. I just want to check if what is happening is normal.. On December, I was able to meet **HIM** for the whole month! it was awesome. I had a blast! After I got back home, we both had to gather our paper work to turn into the California service center along with the application. LONG STORY SHORT! They recieved it march 18 2008. The only thing i have gotten is the NOA1 I haven't heard ANYTHING from them. Is that typical? I guess it's a good thing because they havent even asked for more information. But, i just want to make sure that it is ok. I check the status frequently and the processing times frequently as well. So far it looks like the average time is 6 months or so. What is my next expectation? I just feel like waiting isn't getting me to where i want...I want him here so bad! Also....I'm nervous about the interview. K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Case Filing and Progress Reports	How long will it take now?	I just talked with USCIS 2 days ago asking about how long it may take. (in CSC) She told me "normal" processing times right now are at about 6 months. But, each case varies. I've searched through a lot of the threads here on VJ and the timelines are all unique. Some take 3 months, some a year...Just depends on each individual case. Good luck on your case Be patient... it is VERY hard. I've been in process for almost ALMOST 3 months exactly. K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Case Filing and Progress Reports	What if....	Hey... Jorge brought to my attention an idea... what would happen if I (USC) decided to stay with him until we recieve his VISA? That would mean for me to leave everything... job? I'm asking because he told me the other day why won't i go stay with him until it is time for him to come here. I probably woudn't do that because Mexico City is very scary to me...but could that hurt our case? I guess my main point is if i don't have a stable income... I don't know.. i just miss him a lot. K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Case Filing and Progress Reports	Questions of EAD and AOS...	I have yet another general question... I HAVE read the guides and they just confuse me, so I'm hoping for a straight answer if you guys know it I am getting a bit ahead of myself but I would like to know if it is possible for my fiance (coming from mexico) to start working as soon as he gets here. If he can, what are the circumstances and if not, why not? i'm confused on the whole EAD process and AOS... he comes to US; applies for EAD AND AOS? We would LOVE it if he could start to work after about a week or 2. We even have a job lined up for him for his return, but I'm afraid he won't be allowed to "legally." How can we go about doing this? Another questions is.... when does he get a SSN? And when is he "officially" a Resident of US? Take it your anger out by typing, writting your thoughts, bike riding or even punching a punching bag!! That helps! Just try not to take it out on the CSC people...Even though you are right that they are very frustrating. I am very sorry that you have been waiting for so long. I don't get that whole security check thing. It's very scary to me. The worst part is that number only gives you general answers. Well, I'm going to find something to calm myself down with. Green tea and honey is my relaxation medication, so that is what I will do now. Life is Good! I totally understand. I don't know what to do to calm down. I am shaking! And when I talk i'm like really fast! I thought i was thinking wishfully to get approvals this soon, but it came true! Wow. I am kind of wondering what our next steps should be. .. ... I know there is 2 packets he gets (beneficiary) but also... I'm worried that I won't be able to have all paper work in to him in time... I don't know! This was the worst part of it all. From now on it's going to be a breeze It's the interview and medical and a plane ride! wee! wow.... it's amazing. God is amazing! I would ask the lady if it's ok for her to answer some questions for me. She told me "according to your choices on the touch tone phone, you need BLADEBABDEE BLAH" and i would say to her, Oh I'm sorry that is not my issue but I do have some questions.
