Jorge called CDJ today. Wanna know something funny? Not really funny, but weird..... The guy told him that (he was very nice by the way) our petition got to CDJ Jul 30........but that's when it was shipped from NVC...? Is he crazy? That doesn't make much sense to me........................................................................... Well...he told Jorge that the packet could arrive 4-8 weeks. He mentioned that the packet will mention if I need to attend or not. I may very well go after all. I am still debating on that issue! He also told Jorge that he will receive his visa within 24 hrs after the interview yAY! I would LOVE it if we were able to fly up here together. That would be so much fun! Let's see...what else did he telll him...He said that he DOES need my originals... if that is the case, i will go to mexico!!!!!!!! ANDALE ANDALE ANDALE!!!!!!!! Just kidding. i kind of want to go. THat's crazy to go there for just a day... have you thought about if the flight gets delayed? Maybe you have a sick day you can use at work. My concern is your job when you get back. Just be careful. Maybe you can explain to your job that it is a family emergency or something so that they can let you go for the time needed. Also, congratulations on the interview date! That's wonderful! I *might* have her call the Embassy tomorrow and see if she can schedule the interview without having the packet...since we'll pretty much have everything ready to go next week, I think. He wouldn't give me an estimate of how long it could take to get packet 3. Oh well. Here goes another waiting game. Also, he told me that the benificiary recieves the packet, not the petitioner. I even asked him that I've heard that some petitioners get it because of the "mail system" in mexico...he said that the applicant gets it, not the petitioner. So I'm confused. Oh well. Well, like Stevi, I too received my NVC hard copy today. And it is nice to see it my hands. We are still waiting for Thursday so that Jorge can call CDJ to get more information. If nothing good comes from it, I will just fill out the information this weekend. I need to rest my brain I found out today that I get my raise starting from Friday I'm so happy because I went from 10.75 to 12.00 and hour woohoo. They must love me at work It's great timing for it Jorge and I have been kind of fighting a lot lately. Probably that's why I'm in such a crapy mood lately. I feel so out of it, and I try to explain to him how I feel and he thinks that I am going to leave him, WHICH I AM NOT. I'm just very tired of this. K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Case Filing and Progress Reports	March 08 Filers through CA Service Ctr	I'm still here! I haven't really been feeling too well. Having one of those down days for the past few days. I feel pooped! I think it's starting to really hit me how fast things are moving along. I haven't filled out any of the paperwork for the packet; I'm almost thinking of waiting 'til I get the packet in the mail because that way I can see what it is I need. I don't want to stress myself out for things I don't need. I feel stressed I had my review on Friday(for work) I can't believe I've been working for the bank for 2 years already! Time flies! I find out tomorrow what my raise is going to be. Hopefully it's a good one. I went yesterdya to see the movie Step Brothers...It was crazy! AnD Gross! I want to catch that Pineapple express one, that looks funny . I hope everybody has had a great weekend and have a great week! First week of August you guys! crazy-fast! I think I'm going to wait until i get the packet to get it ready. Hopefully it won't be too difficult to do. I'm soo excited. Jorge called Juarez today and they told him the packet usually takes about 3 weeks for it to arrive to the petitioner. He will tell me the rest of it later tonight. Remember when we were once waiting for those January files to get their NOA2's? ANd now we are at the last step! OMG OMG OMG!! I have been feeling VERY frustrated and irritated lately. I don't want to wait anymore... I'm sick of it. But i have to. If this is what it takes, then we must. I am having JOrge call Juarez tomorrow and get more information because, quite frankly, I am tired of calling for info to the different departments: Thought I would make him do some work I told Jorge that he doesn't have to send the packet back in the mail, that he can go as soon as he gets all the info gathered for the interview... He got so happy. Everytime I find out something new and good, he tells me "SHUT UP! Maria! Stop!" It's too good for him to believe. Well. I am happy for everybody else who is in the same boat as me and your processes are moving right along!! We are that much closer. No more than 2 months fo-shizzle! i also found out that I am getting a raise!! I hope it's a $5 an hour raise Just kidding. I don't know what it is yet, but it should take affect since Jul 1...so hopefully!!!!!!! This would be a perfect time for a raise! I also got a letter in the mail that I will be getting money for college again!! YAY So far life is good. It's funny because everything good that I have in my life, I battle for I have a good job (sometimes frustrating) I am given the chance to go to school, i am marrying the man of life, I have good health (except for stress...). And I have you guys All of you have been so much help. I couldn't have gone through this ####### without you guys I have some questions.... EXACTLY what do they do in USCIS, NVC and Consulate? Stevi, i would call nvc to make sure that your case was shipped for sure. I always want to cross my t's and cross all my i's...ALWAY haha that's why I ask so much! I appreiciate everybody's input on this website. It rocks I am feeling stressed because that one lady tells me different things. But she told me that I do receive the packet...so that's true. I am glad because Jorge doesn't know how to do that paperwork stuff. He filled out his G325 wrong and I had to re-do and send it back so he can sign, and send it back , so on and on. Since we began this K1 process, I was taking advice from an older woman about this process. Well, I went to speak with her today, and she told me that i HAVE to go to Juarez that it wouldn't make sense that I am applying for his visa and not show up. She also mentioned to me that I am the one who receives the "check list" not the beneficiary. That I am the one that is responsible for the paperwork.... But this is a lady that almost had me file for a k3 when I'm not married SOOOOOOOOOO Should I believe her and fly down? Or should I write a letter? AND From everybody else in this site it looks like the beneficiary receives packet 3, not me..... WEIRD! I'm confooooooozed! I went with my dad and even he thought that she didn't know..... I told her that I'm happy because it looks like Jorge will be here in about a month. She replied with I would give it at least 2 months Talk about bursting my bubble! Well I'm not going to believe her! Because she is going by her "memory" and not research. SOOOO On the other hand. We discussed more wedding talk! We have an "idea" of what we are going to do. And jorge's mom wants to pay for my dress; honestly, that makes me feel weird because I don't want her to spend that much. I will make it simple. I want a simple wedding. Nothing too fancy. We know who is buying the food and the beeeeeeeeer (I don't like beer, I like foofoo drinks)... UM We may even have a place lined up!! AND A DJ!! I don't think I can go to Mexico...there's no way....OY! What's the point if they will kick me out?!?!?!??! I have 2 apartments that sound good! $650 for 2 rooms; they're nice. One is 2 stories (town house) it's super cozy and the other one is one story. I want the town house...It's much cuter. Gotta have cute. Let's see what else ! Oh yea! I was going to ask! Josh mentioned on an earlier post how to check the shipment from NVC to Embassy... but I'm confused on the number...the number i got from that forum was 'EXP 26 NOV 2007A' and I don't know where you get that... I was thinking that was the case number but it's way different...so how do i find that number for mine? My case is CDJ 2008 ######...... sooo any tips? I"M SUPER PUMPED! I agree 100% with Ohla,..... it's SO not fair that us CSC Filers are having to wait this long while VSC is already approving DECEMBER Filers........Gee CSC STILL has ppl from July and August waiting to FINALLY get approved. That fee increase should be taken back because instead of better and faster service we now have to wait even longer to be reunited with our loved ones. It is making me mad,sad,depressed and just very desperate. All we are asking for is to be with the person we love! Why is it so importnat to process AOS and Citizenship stuff while there's ppl having to live seperate and apart in different countries/parts of the world just because the work load is not shared equally among the Service Centers??????? I'm really getting tired of that and I don't even want to look into any mixed threads anymore cause it brings me down every single day to see how fast VSC is and how horribly slow CSC is........... OK so I was trying to do the RFE trick last night and called the CSC.........and was told that ONLY the petitioner gets info from them! Did anybody on here know about that??? My man does not have the patience to call USCIS,so I did and now we don't know any more than before...... We got a touch due to the call,but thats it. Why can they only give info to the USC???
