His finish of service papers will include a date and automatically extend the case and be shown for proof of extension. Of course at discretion of the interviewer if our case is a "good" case.. I'll send tons of proof of relationship at them and make sure everything's done very detailed. Oh, and HI! K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Case Filing and Progress Reports	Havn't recieved NOA1 yet	I have submitted my petition 8 days ago and the check hasn't even cleared yet. I sent it via ups and it was recieved at the texas lockbox facility 7days ago. How long does it usually take for them to send out the NOA1 Our NOA1, way back in the stone ages, only took a few days. I am sure you are well within current tolerances at 8 days though. This isn't the right thread to ask about current wait times though. Likely a mod will be along shortly to move this thread. For our AOS, my wife submitted pay stubs for the previous 6 months. The evidence of current sustained income was just a letter from her employer. The letter stated that they will continue to employ her, even after she receives her green card. We had no problems with its submission, nor during the interview. Good luck with your journey! I'm from Carson California. just wna ask how can I contact my congressman for our case. Contact your congressman and senator. You will need to download or request a "privacy release form" from their website. Sign that form and attach a letter explaining your situation (your case beyond normal processing time) as well as a copy of your NOA1. Mail or fax these documents to their office. She is from the Philippines and I am from the US. I sent my I129f on November 22nd, 2011, got my NOA1 on November 29th (hard copy 12/5/11), and my status update has been 12/5/11 ever since then. Yesterday, 3/18/11, my case status was updated as my date changed to 3/18/11 but when I look at my case it is still on "initial review". Is this a case of being "touched"? Is this an indicator of something? What does everyone else know about this? Yes, that's correct. Your case is "touched" when the date changes. Here's a tutorial. Good luck with your case! K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Case Filing and Progress Reports	NOA2 finally arrives	We finally received out NOA2 today after a 5 and a half month wait. I had been in contact with one of my congressmen since the start of the whole process. He seemed to have little effect on the process. Yesterday I wrote to 2 state senators and a congressman and then Abra Cadabra I received the NOA2 the next day. Coincidence ? I don`t know. I encourage those who have filed the K-1 to contact their congressmen and senators especially if over the 5 month normal processing time. A couple of questions. What is a rough estimate of when the NVC will recieve my file? Also a rough estimate of how many days from today will it take until the interview? Congratulations on receiving your NOA-2!!! Excellent news!!! I, too, have contacted both my congressmen and senators. Received an approval email a few hours later. It may have been coincidence, but I like to believe it was due to congressional assistance. Great advice you gave! In my case, it took about a week from NOA-2 to NVC. I suggest calling NVC daily to receive your NVC number. It usually takes about 2-3 months from NVC acceptance to case completion. Some may get their case completed faster, though. Once NVC completes your case, they mail it to USEM. That takes a few days. Once USEM receives your case, give them about 1 week to enter your case in their system. NOA1 date is 21 sep 2010... and whenever we call uscis, they say that you will soon hear something... am just fed-up of seeing "Initial Review" on uscis website... wht shud i do guys??? I agree with baron555's first option. If your case is beyond the normal processing time, write your representative or senator. You will need to complete a privacy release form, which can be downloaded from their respective websites. This form authorizes their liaisons to inquire your case's status on your behalf. Bureaucratic systems tend to treat you as poorly as you let them to, and the only way to improve their performance is to be the "squeaky wheel". Far from being selfish, it goes a long way toward helping other petitioners in the same situations. I hope people whose petitions have been pending for more then a year are raising hell, calling USCIS daily etc. If they need my help and support, I can gladly do it on their behalf as well. Yes, I did that too. But one time may not be enough. Being logical and being realistic are not always the same. Logically, it makes sense to address the problem (ie USCIS) instead of venting on a forum. Realistically, USCIS seems understaffed with their employees. Each adjudicator receives a certain number of cases a day. They must carefully review each case before approval. How many cases does an adjudicator approve daily? I haven't the foggiest. The number of cases that are approved daily, more than likely, does not match the number of cases they receive daily. Unlike passport processing, which already establishes the applicant IS a U.S. citizen, USCIS processing scrutinizes applicants from all countries and nationalities. So, realistically, approvals take several months. I understand the process is flawed, but then again, no system is perfect. We are all human, and we have limitations. Again, if you decide to be the "squeaky wheel," feel free to call USCIS with your concerns.	Markieboy	Male	Philippines	2011-03-17 12:20:00

Let him/her know what they are doing is UNACCEPTABLE. See if this helps or hurts your case. Everyone on here goes through a long and trying process. What makes your case more important than others? There are some cases whose petition has been pending more than a year! It hasn't even been 6 months since your NOA1, which IS still within normal processing time. Patience is a virtue. I had second thoughts,he had second thoughts so we didnt use the first Visa.Everything seemed to go wrong.We had a horrible horrible summer and fall,then in December of 2008 I went to the US on a Visa Waiver and we realized that our love for each other was/is stronger than the fear .And we re submitted the papers to the Consulate.I went back to Germany only for the second Interview and left 2 days after getting the new Visa. There IS hope. If your Fiance truly loves you he will realize that he can not be without you and that ties to his Home Country in the end dont matter. Good Luck to you.
