Removing Conditions on Residency General Discussion	Lifting Conditions While Out of USA	Hi everyone, It has been a long time since I posted on here. I am interested in finding out other people's experience on this topic. My husband and I are being posted to Egypt - my employment is with a US-based NGO. My husband is already in Egypt since he was able to find employment there. My husband is the green card holder originally from Morocco. He is still on his two-year conditional card, and this expires in October 2007, so we will need to apply to lift the conditions in June or July I believe. I realize this may be a very tricky situation. Our plans are to return to the US within the next three years. We do not know what kinds of implications there are for this kind of situation and I'm interested to know if anyone else has had experience with this kind of situation. This was an opportunity we could not pass up and were agreed that we would deal with whatever implications came up with his green card, but are hopeful that maybe it will work out. IR-1 / CR-1 Spouse Visa Case Filing and Progress Reports	how many of you filed at NBC got their NOA2, in the estimated approvals dates predicted by VJ?	did you get a notice that your file was transferred?   I called USCIS some time back and they said my file is in Washington DC field office but I did not get any notice about the transfer.   Last month I had an Infopass interview at Washington DC field office (Fairfax, VA), the officer went inside with all my details and after 10 mins she came out and told me that yes your file is here in Washington DC field office (Can it be true?) and no immigration officer assigned to it. Then she said - "I don?t know when an immigration office will be assigned and I know it?s frustrating, but please have patience and wait".   Any one has any idea ? what did she check inside? IR-1 / CR-1 Spouse Visa Case Filing and Progress Reports	Washington D.C. transfers?	I can definitely sympathize. I have reached 8 months coming on 10 months in a couple weeks. I have reached out to the CIS Ombudsman and they are reviewing my case but it doesn't look promising. It seems that the USCIS is holding on to my case, doing nothing, then will deny me. I have since enlisted the help of a lawyer to attempt to fix things so I advise you do the same if at all possible. Hard to believe that this is happening to me for no good reason known or made known to me...just celebrated my 1 year anniversary by visiting my wife's country and having to leave her yet again...very hard indeed.... 10 months....that's long time. I don't know if anyone is getting approved from Washington office ? Are they really working on any of the I130 at all? No one on VJ has got their approval from DC office this year. I had my infpass appt 4-26-13...i've now reached 7 months and I know for sure that my case has been at the washington office for about 3 months or so. I'm glad they at least gave you a month because they didnt give me one at all nor could they give me a real reason that they needed to interview me. I have since submitted for the CIS ombudsman to look into my case and what they are doing with it. Has anyone else on here had to do a local interview ? I am waiting for NOA2 from past 8 months & still haven't heard anything. They didn't even tell me in my infopass that they need to interview me. They just said, "we have your file but we don't know when we will look into it". Do you know if anyone has got approval from DC office since August 2012? Did your husband send financial evidence & photos to NVC? 2. Did Vfs ask for your originals or NVC sent them to Embassy?   I have appointment at 7.30A.M on April 4rth.... ...We went to consulate by 6.20AM....they asked to stand in line immediately after we went there(Immigration and non immigration lines are different)....So we stood in immigration line.....We completed security check.....Entered inside of the consulate.... Two Token numbers received by 6.50A.M.....which sticked to appointment letter starting with "S"...... Interviewed by Indian officer at 7.10A.M.... One token number took from the appointment letter..... Returned the documents which we submitted to NVC... And she asked medical reports... Submitted medical reports... She asked only one question to me... Have u ever been to USA? After that i have long wait for American officer (AO)to be interviewed by him.. Due to budget cuts i think, there were only three AO officers.... So that it took a time to be interviewed by AO officer... Around 10.30A.M ,I was called by American officer.... IR-1 / CR-1 Spouse Visa Case Filing and Progress Reports	Washington DC field office	Thanks for all the calculations done. Did you go for your infopass? What information did you get there? And also, just a very very basic estimation on how long we might have to wait (based on information from the USCIS dashboard).    My mathematical assumption is that given the number of completions we are seeing at the field office we can estimate the number of months it will take to complete a certain workload (which is number of pending apps).   For example, lets take a look at August 2012.   Number of pending: 2351 Number new receipts: 385     So total apps in office in August: 2351+385 = 2736.   Number of completions for Aug: 485.   Basically if we assume that in one month the WashDC field office completes 485 forms, how long would they take to complete 2736?   That's gonna be 2736/485 = 5.6 months. This is IF your case hit the office in August, and IF they processed applications on a first come first serve basis. I'm not saying they dont, but there is no evidence that they absolutely stick to that rule.   We do know that post-August all petitions were sent to NBC and that stand-alone I130s were sent off to field offices. So we can see the the incline of pending application increase its slope. The completions remain around the same rate (so the office did not add any adjudicators to balance increase in workload). We also see an increase in new receipts as demarcated by the blue area.    The most recent data is for April 2013. So my estimation of how long April 2013 Filers will have to wait is:   (6475+1286)/584 = 13 months for NOA2.   Before you jump on me please consider that 13 months is not a very good estimate. There are lots of assumptions made. The biggest one is that Wash field office is going to process EVERY case that is pending. If you see, even well before August 2012, there is a big gap between pending and completions. That has been a steady trend as far back as the data goes. I dont know if they process it all, but I'm just assuming they do, although it could very well be they dont.   I guess the good news is that the office is at least processing applications and sending out completions on an average of 500/month. We on VJ are just a subset of that number as not everyone who applies for CR1 joins VJ and updates his timeline.    So lets stay hopeful and be prepared to wait a bit. I doubt if anyone would be able to help us in this situation. fcat has got this letter from senators and the letter states that the delay is due to lack of resources, NOA2 is getting delayed. I think they should employ few of us to help them clear their workload. Thanks fcat. I'm so so so sad to hear this. I'm disappointed that our senators cannot do something about this absurd situation. Can we write a letter or get a petition going to send to multiple people? As much as I want my NOA2, I know there are many people waiting in line before me. I just want them to START processing the I-130s. We are paying too much money and waiting too long when we only want to do this the LEGAL way. USCIS records show that Form I-130 was filed January 2013 and it remains pending at this time. Due to lack of resources, the current processing time for I-130s is 6 to 12 months. We will notify the constituent as soon as possible if any further information is needed, or when a decision has been made."   My staff and I stand ready to be of assistance to you in any other matter that is of concern to you.  Thank you. I was very disappointed with my appt, but I knew it could go either way. What I found out is that their processing times are 6 to 8 months for the I-130s and my file hasn't been touched yet. NVC received my IV packet (DS-230, original civil docs & copies) on 4th September 2013.   I got a checklist today about filling out DS-260 online and submit it.    I called NVC today and the CSR told me that you DO NOT required to submit DS-260 online as we are reviewing you case right now, wait till NVC to find any document missing/ need additional documents, then NVC will send another checklist asking for the missing document and submit DS-260 online.   Anyone had the similar experience? I have submitted ds-260 on 13th September.    Now I have couple of questions:   1. Do I have to send the civil documents again? the checklist talks about sending the civil document (kind of generic statement),  2.
