Philippines	Commission on Filipinos Overseas (CFO) Manila	Since everyone has a different experience in the K-1/K-2 VISA process, I thought I would share our experience with the process. Fiancee and daughter attended the seminar at St. Mary Euphrasia Foundation (SMEF) - Center for Overseas Workers. I arrived 30 minutes early to register, and the entire process took about 2-hours. The first part was the Introduction which was delivered by counselor # 1. She was friendly, humorous and she was quite entertaining. She talked about the what, how and why of the seminar. She mentioned that the seminar was government-initiated. She touched a little about pre-departure and departure airport tips to remember. She also shared some experiences of other immigrants. She also touched the subject of domestic violence. The next part was the Group Process. This time we were separated according to the country of our destination. Counselor 2# assigned to the USA group was a nice young lady. She spoke authoritatively and some of what she shared were helpful. The participants were also given the chance to ask questions. After the group process, the counselor 3# told us that we will have our individual counselling. She asked us to fill out our forms again correctly and to step out of the room and wait to be called for our counselling. She just asked me how me and my fiance met, all our meetings, when, where and for how long, details on the wedding. She also asked questions about my fiance family, that also included knowing his mother maiden name and she wanted a to see a copy of his divorce papers. She also reviewed and prepared me for the Visa interview process. I received a CFO certificate and will have to return to receive my CFO sticker. Philippines	Scheduling Interview and Physical {MANILA}	Vermont misplaced my approved application, so it took 55 days to get to the NVC... If you look at normal timelines.. seems like 10-15 days is the Norm... Congrats! I was just approved on 1/26/12. How long did it take to get your MNL#? I am still waiting on mine! Did something get sent in the mail to you did you call? I am hoping to have her and the boys out of there by End of March if I lucky! Not sure what you mean by print out the St Lukes page ? I am thinking I can send her and her daughter to manila and get her physical done and out of the way ? When she and her daughter shows up.. no appointment letter is needed ? I have read where some have used the MNL # to get there physical at St. Lukes. But give the embassy a little more time and you should be able to schedule the interview, then print that page out for St. Lukes. Don't need to wait for a letter from the embassy. Philippines	Scheduling Interview and Physical {MANILA}	On Friday Feb 3 (Philippine time} my "Fiancée" went to the BPI bank and paid $350 for herself and $350 for her daughter for the visa application fee. She did get 8 digit receipt number. Before I proceed - I do not have a copy of the appointment letter or a new Notice of Action with her new case number. NVC just sent the application to manila on 01/30/2012. At what point to I and/or her receive this appointment letter ?? Do we schedule the interview first and/or Physical. When I looked at the Physical page, it is requiring an Interview date. Philippines	Age gap difference in Philippines	If the relationship is "REAL" and you have all your documents then this will not be an issues. My fiancee and daughter will be on a plane next week heading to the United States. Our age gap is 20 years LEGITIMATE relationship with plenty of proof/documents you will have no problem. I did not attend my fiancee interview in Manila, but based on our file and supporting documents then only ask her (3) questions before she was approved.. I would suggest keeping {HANK_AMY} as your friend for "GOOD" advice through this process. I think I already owe him a few beverages for his advice !!! Hello VJ'ers that petitioned fiancee's from the Philippines. I have a questions about age gaps between the USC and the Filipina fiancee. Has anyone ever been denied based on a 25 year age difference from their fiancee. I know my first ex-wife Filipina and I had a 21 year age gap and did not have any problems. I know it is common in the Philippines to have a large age gap and for me age should not matter if you are in a legitimate relationship. I am 25 years senior to my fiancee and we both love each other. Just don't want the Consular Officer to play God and pass their own moral judgement when the evidence I have provided and continue to provide show that we have a real relationship. IR-1 / CR-1 Spouse Visa Case Filing and Progress Reports	CEAC SAYS REFUSED	Someone please help m so confused and I have never read anything like this on VJ My wife's interview was schduled for march 6th... Butas soon as the consulate recived paperwrk .. Someone from embassy called and asked her to bring current police certificates and told her that interview was rescheduled to 38 of feb.. so she my wife asked if this could be done following day the CO insisted it be done that day So my wife went .. When she went she was told 2 or 3 things to be corrected Our marriage cert. Which my wife pointed out was alrdy in packet. The co said keep it n bring it to interview.. Than my wife was told she needed her orig birth certificate .. My wife and I sent this but co said no.. In the p4 it says received sent by nvc.. But co said no... Called nvc they said its in the packet we sent it. So now what do I do .. I know I sent it... Nvc n the p4 states it was sent... IR-1 / CR-1 Spouse Visa Case Filing and Progress Reports	CEAC SAYS REFUSED	My husband had his interview at the embassy on Feb. 3, 2014.  The CO told him he was approved, took his passport, and told him that he would have his visa within 2 weeks.  Friday we checked the status on CEAC, and it changed from Ready, to Refused.  The embassy sent me this email...with no further explanation.   Dear Madam:   Thank you for contacting us.  Your case is pending due to required additional administrative processing.  Administrative processing refers to various additional steps that must be taken before a visa can be issued.  Typically, this process lasts at least 9 months but, on occasion, it can take longer.  We are not able to take any further action until the additional administrative processing is complete.  Once the additional administrative processing is complete, a consular officer will review the case.  The following documents may require renewal at the conclusion of the administrative processing:   1. Police certificates: valid for one year from the date of issuance. 2. DS-260/DS-230 part I and II: valid for one year from the date of signature. 3. Hello geordielover and everyone, I thought I would have to wait 3 to 4 weeks before I hear from the NVC, but today in the mail I got a letter from the NVC in Portsmouth, NH and it states: Dear Petitioner: The State Department's National Visa Center has recently received an approved I-129F petition filed on behalf of your fiance' This letter is to let you know that within a week the petition will be forwarded to the appropriate visa-issuing post where your visa interview will take place. then it goes on to names who the petition is for and gives the INS Receipt Number EAC########## and a Case Number RDJ########## This case will be processed at RIO De Janeiro Then it goes on to say..Your Fiance will soon receive a packet with instruction from the consular section on how to apply for the K1 Visa at that post and what documents will be required. Sincerely, Bureau of Consular Affairs. I was quite surprised to get this letter so quickly. I think the National Visa Center is very efficient when it receives approved K-1 petitions...at least that is my experience. Are other who received their NOA2 getting this type of letter? Congratulations are in order to everyone on this thread who has gotten notification of approval and I hope the remaining ones will be here shortly. I had called USCIS to change my address in October, and I wasn't sure if I will get the NOA2 by mail, to the new address. Ans so I called USCIS today to verify my change of address, but the agent Helen wasn't very helpful about the address verification...she said that she does not have that info. Anyway this evening, the hard copy was in my mail box, It was beyond belief! It actually worked, I was indeed surprised to see that the address change actually went thru. A brief question, Under the Notice Type: it says that the Approval Notice is valid from 12/6/2007 to 4/6/2008. Not quite sure what this means, as it is not a visa? Does this mean that my fiancee will need to submit all her documentation to the Embassy before that date? Any help in making me understand this is greatly appreciated. Philippines	NEED HELP!!! She got her visa today but....	She said she got her Visa package today but it says on the package that she can't open it. It says that she has to go to the manila embassy with the package. I want to buy her ticket today so she can travel here on the 13th but I'm afraid that maybe after they open the package..the embassy required something that will delayed her flight. Is it ok for me to buy her ticket now or does she have to go through something else when she gets to the embassy? What other requirements are there? Is there anyone who has been to the embassy with the package like this before? What happens next aside from the guidance couseling?
