K-3 Spouse Visa Process & Proceduresuscis web page for automatic updates
Hi Sean,

This means your application for 129F has been approved and is probably now with the National Visa Center. They will review and (hopefully) approve the application, a process that for us took about a week. The NVC then sends your package to fiancee's local consulate/embassy in Turkey, where they will send her instructions and a checklist about what happens next. Usually, the local consulate website has information about how visas are issued there. She will have a medical exam, interview, and her visa will be issued after that. The K-1 visa flowchart is here

Good luck!

Mexico, Latin & South Americaphone card to Colombia
I'm having a problem getting some kind of call logs. I use an Orbitel phone card to call Vanessa and she has a Movistar pre-paid phone. I call her every night for the past 8 months but since I use a phone card I cant prove that I do. My phone company said they cant give me a log. What do I do???

Mexico, Latin & South AmericaMarriage in Peru
Our municipality will be Lima, so I was a little worried that things move slower there because of how populated it is. Anyway, thank you both so much for your help, I appreciate it!

Mexico, Latin & South AmericaMarriage in Peru
It sounds like getting married in Peru is complicated. I know you have to get an AIDS test, birth certificate, certificate for being single, all legalized, translated, legalized again, ect. Does anyone know if I have to physically be in Peru for the city to legalize my documents? Can I mail them ahead of time (after having them notarized by the Peruvian consulate where they were issued) to my fiancee and have her translate and legalize them? Reason why I ask is that I can't take that much time off work and I'm starting to think one week won't be enough to get all this stuff done.

Also, we need a wedding announcement in the paper with the date of our ceremony. Again, does anyone know if I have to be physically present for this part?

Anyone with experience with any of this, please help. Thanks.
