Congratulations!!! Ours too!!!! I got the text at 3:15 today and had to use all my self control to not start jumping up and down while simultaneously cheering and crying i was so happy!! Good luck to all the other Nov filers... I strongly recommend calling and talking to Tier two... I called Friday and they put in a service request and we were approved on the next business day!!

for all the other November VSC filers, i just got through to a Tier 2 rep after sitting on hold for 2.5 hours.. I told them that I wanted an update on the status of my case, that even though their normal processing times now state Oct 15th that my status had been out of their previously posted processing times for a month before they changed them and that now that Dec and Jan filers are having action taken and are being moved from VSC i wanted an update on my case. He created a service request and said that I would hear by June 8th.   If you all haven't called yet call and if you've called already call again!!

I'm sure this is not the relationship you dreamed of ! Get out of it FAST... You're wasting your life with someone who clearly does not appreciate what you or your family are doing for him.

There are good people out there, this is not some 'Middle Eastern' trait, plenty of VJ's here married to lovely people from the MENA region and all over the world...this is just plain abusive behaviour, from a man that clearly has personal issues.

Don't give him the chance to ruin yours or anyone else's life here. Send him back, get him deported. Seriously, and you can do this safely, just have those that love you support you through it and end this mess!

Hi MENA peeps,

anyone have experiences to share when returning from the MENA region with an Advance Parole document ? I'm going to Jordan, and I'm just wondering if I'll have trouble if the check-in desk 'see an expired K1 visa to the US' and don't understand the advance parole alternative.

what have been some of your experiences ? and if they've been tough, how did you deal with such situations? any Jordanian travellers on Advance Parole

If I were you I would email the embassy to see if they received it. My fiance received packet 3 and 4 in all together after I inquired so many different times, but all of this was after I had emailed the ds-230 to them with fiance's "signature".. They sent him two pieces of paper. One with the website addresses for all the forms you will need to bring with you to the interview and the other with his interview date. :whistle: The faster you do this the faster you can get an interview date and will not fall outside the valid period for the visa approval. I hope this helps a bit.

I'm with everyone else here, she should have read... blah blah blah.
But!
Lets all remember love can make one impatient. I myself suck at being patient, and it cost me an RFE. I could have saved myself a month of waiting, but I sent a divorce journal entry, not a final decree. Very few of us send perfect packets. Not that a lot of packets aren't accepted. (perfect to me is just enough info to be approved, and not so much you cause the reviewer to spend extra time going over documents that aren't required, and slow them down from moving on to the next one)

So I suspect they have learned. Remember, we want to be helpful. This shouldn't be a place to joyfully point out how others f'd up on their packets.

Sorry, I meant NVC not NVS in my last post.
There are a few forums for stuck in AP@NVC under the sections:
"National Visa Center (Dept of State)"
& "Waivers (I-601 and I-212) and Administrative Processes (221g)"
For all us stuck in this bureaucratic situation.


Here is the original quote someone sent me. I hope this helps. It could be a number of things.. been married before.. that often causes them to check the validity of the divorce... govt security clearance holders sometimes get checked out... and name checks that came up in USCIS also get redone or additional checks done at NVC... in any case.. its usually less than 4 weeeks to get done now...

Anything over a few days, and you probably have been flagged for additional processing at the NVS. I am in the same situation with them. It seems to be a more in-depth background check, but there is no way to know for sure. You have to call and talk to a real person to find out if your in the "additional processing" status, since their automated system does not report on 'K' visas. They won't tell you anything more though. After waiting for the NOA2, now we have to wait another 2-5 weeks for the NVS. It's really frustrating.


I was in the same boat and someone explain to me you get flagged for various things. So relax and just wait it out. It is a long process. I know it easier said then done. I will see if I can find that old post.
