IMBRA Special TopicsINTERNATIONAL MARRIAGE BROKER?

You were right. It's not an IMB. I've seen no evidence it matters how you answer that question.

Thank you.

IMBRA Special TopicsINTERNATIONAL MARRIAGE BROKER?
Does anyone know if http://worldfriends.tv qualifies as an IMB? I said it wasn't on my I-129F, but gave the URL in my description of how we met.

I would think it fits into the exemption, as it does not cater specifically to Americans, or for dating/marriage. But, you never know. If someone handling my petition deems it to be an IMB, what problems will I face?

Thank you. I wish you luck too. I've also entertained the thought of moving there, but it's just not feasible right now. Just wondering, have you seen http://candleforlove.com? It will help you prepare for the interview.

I don't think GUZ ever interviews within those 4 months. Don't worry, they'll automatically extend it for you. What gets me is that China (population 1.3 billion) has only one consulate that handles K visas, and Canada (population 33.5 million) has two.

Gee, I thought it was them trying to milk every dollar out of the Olympics that they could, knowing that Americans would just grumble and pay it.

That may have been part of it, but I think they would have jacked the prices up for everyone else as well.

ChinaVaccinations
I've been to China six times, and I've never gotten any vaccinations.

Apparently, US citizens have to pay more for visas to China, thanks to the US's strict visa/immigration laws.

I know what form you're talking about now. I'm pretty sure that she will sign this in front of her interviewing officer.

United KingdomManchester To San Francisco...does such path exist?
If your still looking then you can fly Manchester to Chicago and then onto San Francisco. I always used a company called Trailfinders thats on Deansgate in the Manchester City Center.

I flew Manchester to Chicago for £360 with BMI but i think its either American Airlines or US Airways that will fly you into either Chicago or Philadephia then onto San Francisco all from Manchester Airport.

U can find trailfinders at: www.trailfinders.com and the Manchester office:

MANCHESTER

58 Deansgate
Manchester
M3 2FF

Opening Hours:

Monday - Friday: 9am-7pm
Saturday: 9am-6pm
Sunday: 10am-6pm
Telephone:

Worldwide Travel: 0161 839 6969
First and Business Class Travel: 0161 839 3434
Visa & Passport Service: 0845 05 05 905 (Telesales only)

They have never failed me on price and ive flown quite a bit in the last 5 years to and from the USA. Some other advice i was given on here is to check prices from where ever you land to San Francisco on the USA side with expedia or something. I saved myself a few hundred bucks this way as i needed to get to Columbus.

United KingdomFiling taxes
We are just about to file our joint taxes for the year 2006 and im a little confused.

I left my job in the UK in Feb of 2006, moved to the US on K1, got married, filed AOS, got green card and started working in August of 06. I have my W2 for the four months that i worked in 06 but what im unsure about is my earnings from the UK.

Do i have to include any money i made in 2006 from my UK job with my US taxes or do i just file my W2 jointly with my wife and forget about any monay from back home ? I dont want to go and file my taxes then get asked about my UK earnings and cant find any information that points me in the right direction so any help/advice is appreciated.

Thanks,

Tom

Just to let yall know my visa turned up yesterday. I got a nock on the door at 7:05am and it was SMS with the packet that contained my passport with visa and the brown envelope. I wasnt all that impressed with the visa though as it looks the same as my B2 but it is kinda cool to have two visa's and 3 pictures of myself in my passport at different times over the last few years.

Ive only got another week before i fly home next Thursday and cant wait to leave. Thanks all for your help when ive been stressed about the little things i do appreciate it.

All the best to those who are just starting this process and to those of you either with interviews or awaiting a date.

Hey yall. been chilling for the last few weeks and we are now prepairing everything for AOS. What im wanting to ask is has anyone here found a Civil Surgeon in the Columbus, Ohio area that will just do the I-693A rather than the complete I-693 ??

Ive just made a list of 16 USCIS Approved Civil Surgeons to call in the morning to ask this very question but if anyone could say if they found one or not it would be appreciated. Btw im in Pataskala.

Thanks, Tom

Quick question as ive just managed to get online for a few mins.

We are moving to Ohio already have an apartment and stuff but would it be possible for us to still file for AOS and EAD in WV or would we have to file it all in Ohio now ??

Thanks, Tom

Hey yall,

Update on whats new for us.

I flew into the US on 16th Feb from manchester which was pretty cool. I got upgraded to business class with BMI so the flight was a good one. I got into Chicago and was the first in line for the POE who was a real nice guy. We laughed and joked while he processed everything which was annoying others cuing but he held them all up as he told me how he ended up doing the job hes doing. Once he had finished all the paperwork he shook my hand and wished me all the best and welcomed me to my new home in the USA which was pretty cool.

Then the fun begins lol. In Chicago that day United airlines cancelled almost all there flights so i got stranded in Chicago so Mandy had to drive and pick me up which sucked but there wasnt anything else we could do but i was just happy to be home.

We got married on the 25th Feb and had a pretty good day and have been pretty busy since. Since then we have signed a lease in Ohio and should be fully moved this weekend. On the 6th March we went and applied for my SS# which was easy and painless which took no longer than 5 mins. The day after we went back and they printed out my SS# for me and the card turned up in the mail 11th March. We now have a joint bank account which was also painless and only took 30 mins because the bank teller sorting it all out for us was just learning the job so was being trained how to change Mandys account over.

So basicly all thats left to do is start AOS and file for EAD so i can start working as ive been offered a job for when i get my employment authorization. I hope to be around more in the next week or two and again just want to say thanks to all that helped us in the past with the K1 process.
