Canadahow long to get 2 year green card in mail and work related questions...
Once the visa is activated the CBP will put a stamp with it and that acts as a temporary green card for 1 year. Make sure your friend puts your wife's name on the mailbox. Mail carrier may not drop it off if her name is not.

CanadaMontreal Interview May 10th!! But....
You need the interview letter to get into the consulate. They ask for letter and passport before you go in. I'd ask DOS who to go about getting the letter emailed to you. You can do interview without medical but will not receive visa until medical is submitted. Montreal is taking 4 weeks or more to look at anything sent in after the interview.

I had a notarized letter from my kids father giving permission for them to move. In the letter it also stated that the notary check his ID and that the signature was his. I didn't have any problems.
Montreal seems to jump around with what documents they want. We had a woman interview us. Not sure if it matters who the CO is.

Hope they get to it soon smurfette.

Canadahow detailed does the border declaration form need to be at POE?
With my electronics I wrote down the serial numbers with my boxes I just put how many boxes of what I had. They didn't even look at my list. Make one to have just in case.

CanadaThe Vent - Part Trois

I swear I'm going to gnaw my leg off if it doesn't stop hurting!

I had compartmental syndrome in my lower leg (about an inch above my ankle) about 10 years ago. I had a series of muscle relaxer injections, two surgeries (4" scar on my leg!), and various air casts/splints/crutches/etc. Right after the last surgery, I tore the scar tissue training for my softball team, and wound up back in physical therapy (and benched for the season). From that point on, my leg has been gradually regaining feeling...I can feel most of my leg except for maybe 2-3" in either direction from the area the surgery was in.

Unfortunately, as the feeling has been coming back into my foot and ankle area, I've been getting these god awful charlie horses in the middle of the night right at the site of the surgery on my leg. They're so painful I wind up waking up Spoom (even when I try not to), and I can't rely on my foot and leg to work properly during these spells (so I can't "walk it off" like I used to do with charlie horses). I had two of these spells last night.

So much pain, so little sleep! I think I'm just frustrated today because I'm tired, but I needed to vent.

As funny as this is going to sound my FiL swears it works. He was getting really bad leg cramps at night and found out somewhere that a bar of soap helps. Can't remember if there is a specific kind it has to be, but he says he hasn't be woken up by leg cramps since.

I dunno if it will work with charlie horses.

On the bright side...At least she is still in Canada..Free Healthcare! So get as much use out of that before you have to pay in the USA...lol....

Ant

Thank You
I am trying...LOL
Hubby does have good insurance. I also email Dr. Seiden office to see if it would affect her medical if it's not cleared up. They said to bring a note from our GP and a list of meds she's on.

She's only on it for 5 days, and same antibiotics as before. If she is not any better tomorrow I am going to ask about a different antibiotics. I just can't believe they have let it go like this since December.

I don't agree with your GP about taking them out. They do still work. It sucks though that the ENT wait is so long. :(

I hope you find a solution soon. I know how terrible it is.

Thanks. ENT has the final say, so we shall see. REALLY hoping this new stuff helps.

She been on 2 different ones, plus a gargle to help numb. The latest is prednisone for 5 days to help with the swelling hopefully. She's had 4 swap to check for strep, as well as blood work to check for mono. Our dr says they need to come out. Ear, nose and throat specialist wait is just crazy.

I am going to give this stuff til tomorrow to see if it helps and if not think I'll go to the hospital yet again. You can tell by looking at her neck how swollen she is. She has about the size of a finger tip opening at the back of her throat.

Sdw, are they giving her different antibiotics? I had chronic tonsillitis as a kid and my doctor finally put me on some very strong pills - the kind where you only take three horse pills and they last 10 days. That finally got rid of it for good for me.

My daughter has had tonsillitis pretty much since December. She's been on antibiotics going on time 4(they don't seem to help much at all), and she can't get into the specialist until March 11. Went to the hospital yesterday and got a prescription for steroids for 5 days to see if they will help. She's having a hard time breathing, eating and sleeping because she is so swollen. Dr. yesterday called the specialist to see about getting her in sooner and SURPRISE she's away until the 17. Not to mention the school she's missed and the work I have missed.

SO frustrated!!! Feel bad I can't do anything to make her feel better.

There are quite a few of 'em - I'm not going to list them because one of them comes in here with his "knowledge" that doesn't pertain to Canada at all.
