So my 14 year old son is thinking about going to stay with his dad in Canada for the next school year. Can he do that without losing his GC?

CanadaGot Baby? Avez vous un bebe?

Hi everyone!

I'm finally ready to update, though this will be brief as I have to head to bed soon.

I had a baby *girl* on Sunday, October 17--7lbs, 4oz, 21.25 inches, very healthy. She's pretty much bald, but in a cute way. I had a c-section in the end, and I wasn't very happy about that (6 nights in the hospital really messed with my mind), but 2 weeks later it no longer seems important.

I did have to reschedule my immigration interview :( It had been set for October 28, but that was impossible once surgery (and recovery, etc) was in the mix. So it's now rescheduled for January 19, 2011. I could feel bad about this delay, but I feel like I can't afford to do so: I have to focus on the baby.

C.

Congrats on your baby.

My ROE said that I stated I was moving to the US. I did have any problems getting unemployment. When I applied I put in that I moved with spouse.

This is the out of country #...1-877-486-1650 You will have to leave your name, phone number and SIN number and Donna will get back with you..it's always a recording. Sometimes it may be a couple days...but she will call you. As soon as you have the proof that you're eligible to work, you'll fax, or email it to her, she'll send it along. You can call that number anytime, as it will just be a recording anyways.

OK Thank you very much

OK I applied have gotten first set of cards and access code in the mail. Call the 1800 number to talk to a person and get an automated message saying the call center is closed. That it's open between 8:30 -4:30, yet it's 9:30. I have called a few times and got the same message.

So I haven't spoken to a person at all. I don't know where to send in my information.
I don't know what to do.

I travel to Canada on a weekly basis with my extension letter and expired green card. I haven't been hassled at all. I have gotten comments like they still haven't gotten you your new card, they have to be slow I am seeing a lot more of these letters, but nothing more than that. I am treated the same way I was with just the card.
