I actually gave them 50 pictures of her and I and her family with the petition .. I am wondering if they got lost or separated from our petition or something ... I guess I am off to Walgreens now to print off some of those pics again to send in ... the bad thing is I forgot to put the setting on the camera when I was there to show the date correct .. but the RFE says they will accept non dated pictures so that is good. I think the entry/exit stamps from the Philippines is what they are really wanting.

PhilippinesI have a question before I send the K1 petition, Please advise!
1) You can change your address via the USCIS website or through the 1-800 number at anytime during the process.... not a problem at all. Don't worry about that.

2) You only need to submit 1 year of the most recent tax return with the Affadavit of Support for the K1. However some will suggest to send 3 years worth. Personally I only sent my fiance 1 year, but included 2 months of pay stubs, a letter from my employer and bank statements as well. None of this needs to be sent in with the K1 petition initially. Your fiance will need it at the day of her interview, which may be a good thing in your case as you could use your tax returns from this upcoming filing season ( pending meeting the poverty guidelines I guess for this year ).

Once you are married and she is here and you file for Adjustment of status, than you will need to produce 3 years of tax returns. Like Hoale said above, USEM tends to not accept Co-sponsors, at least not on a consistent basis, so be prepared for that potential problem at the interview. Good luck!

When my fiance went for her CFO, they demanded a Certificate of Singleness from me here in the US. Well in the US we don't have Cenomar's ... so I had to look up what my state of residence had to offer and found a state certificate that stated no record of marriage is found in the state I reside. That was the odd ball thing she faced from the CFO ( THis was Cebu BTW ) ... she also had a letter of consent from her parent.

If I learned anything during this process ... have her mother with for the CFO, gathering documents etc ... they tend to listen and be more accepting when the parent is with.

I am not sure about marking documents, we didn't do that when we did it last year.

However, we used Fedex at least 4 times that I remember in the past and never had a issue at all. If I remember correctly it took about 6 days to get there. My wife also lived rural in the province and never had a issue. The drivers there will find her with no problem, as long as your have the correct barangay listed. Good luck!

Just a FYI ... most Filipinos answer that question with something along the line of ... I am running on 34 or I will turn 34 ... thus the reason she was probably asking the question. I think culturally costa rica and the philippines may be slightly different :)

Hello everyone. I origanally posted this in the K-1 Fiance forum.
Im not sure how to enter my Fiance address in the I-129F and G-325A.
She lives in the Barangay of Jomgao in the Municipality of Argao, Cebu, Philippines.
There are no roads where she lives, only dirt trails and there are no house numbers either.

The address on her Postal ID Card reads:
Jomgao, Argao
6021 Cebu

This is what I came up with, is this the corect way to enter it?

I-129F
Address(Number and Street): Brgy. Jomgao

The way you did it there is the same way we did ours as well. We had the same thing, no street number .. just the barangay.

The consulate won't mail anything to her anyway there. The packet some consulates mail out is not mailed in the Philippines, you retrieve it online once the consulate receives it from the DOS. Anything you need prior to the interview you should be able to get and prepare ahead of time on the manila consulate website or via emails. I personally loved the way Manila consulate does it, we were able to be way ahead of the process every step. Depending on what kind of access your SO has you may consider downloading all her forms for her here and sending them to her VIA fed ex. You can fill all the info in for her and she just will need to sign and date. I found that the cafe's there are not very helpful in downloading, printing documents you need there. Good luck !!

First, want to thank you for serving our ( US ) country.

This is a very common issue when a person marries into the Filipino culture. However, like any other family in the world each is different. Filipinas feel a very strong obligation ( this is probably imbeaded into them as norm from a young age ) that they need to support their Mother and Father. Usually from what I have seen anyway when extended family, friends, neighbors etc start asking for money its more due to the USC's initial willingness to open up the check book sort to speak. This won't really help you at your current state, but honestly the best thing a USC can do when getting involved with a Filipina is to either not send or help at all or set strict small amounts that would only be enough to help her with her own life there until she is in the states.

I will be honest, the money you are sending is probably going to nightly tuba drinking with the entire Barangay joining in, thats probably where a ton of that money is going. Obviously you are at a point in your life with your wife where you need to budget a little more than you have in the past, you will need to either cut them off entirely or set a strict amount. Honestly 100 dollars a month is more than enough for basics to help them out. The more you send the lazier they will get and more dependent long term on you and your wife they will become, and of course with a lot of tuba drinking going on. Her 2 brothers need to man up and start climbing coconut trees or harvesting some rice for food or income, there is generally some work available at various times for most there, if they are willing to look for it. Most USC's have kind hearts and good intentions but it needs to be at your timing and discretion not someone elses, it is you that is putting in long hours to make that money.

The word no sometimes won't hurt them, it would even be better if it came from her.

5months na sya, pero sige pa rin ang gising nya eery 3 hours to eat sa gabi. Normal ba ito? May cereal na nga ung gatas nya para di sya gutumin masyado... pero ganun pa rin nagigising pa rin sya. so eto, wala pa rin akong straight na tulog since pinanganak sya. may suggestion ba kayo para matulog sya thru the night?

cgoro during the day dont let him sleep so much week up him pra sa gbie tolog cxa even 5 to 6 hours.. my baby when hes almost 3 months old sleep cxa 5 to 6 hours din noun 3 months na cxa sometimes 8 to 9 hours 1 time lng cxa nagicing sa gbie until now his 4 months sometimes sleep cxa ng 7;30 nagicing cxa 4 or 4;30 ...yun nga lng pg gicing ng 4 ayaw ng matolog ..tolog cxa ulit 5 ;30 or 6 :)

Ndi ko alam bakit maliit, pinili ko naman ung full size... pero sana kahit maliit makita nyo pa rin.
5 months na sya, love na love nya mag-thumb suck, finger suck, fist suck.. kahit ano lang isusubo sa bibig.
tulo laway, hindi ko po alam kung nag-iipin kasi di ko naman mafeel kung meron or wala.
Hilig sya kumain, at gusto po nya may dede parati sa bibig pag-sleeping time. Nagagalit pag-tinatangal namin ung dede sa bibig nya.
Matakaw din po ito, ang damit nya now is for 12m na. laki kasi nya.

@Brijo, your baby is growing so fast. He is adorable :)

@RR, Zac cries too whenever I leave him for few minutes. I can leave him in his crib surrounded by his toys for 15-20 mins without crying but then will cry when he gets bored. Sometimes I put him in his walker so he could follow me around the house, that way, it would be much easier for me to wash the dishes without hearing him crying. He won't cry if I sneak out the house as long as he will be with one of my family member. What so funny is, he cries whenever he sees somebody leaving the house, specially if his cousins will go back home na. Kasi he won't have any playmates again. He also cries whenever our visitors will leave LOL! Minsan nga iiyak din cya kapag pupunta ka ng CR tas you will close the CR door infront of him lol! Kala nya kung saan ka na pupunta eh mag-he-hello ka lang naman sa indoro LOL.
