Wait for the the embassy in Manila to receive your documents, once received you can call to set up your interview date .... call to set up interview ... wait some more ( Unless you have not started on all the papers you need, get started on this now ) ... there are several forms ( I believe 3 ) that need to be completed and signed by the benficiary now ... a application fee has to be paid at a BDO that accepts the payment ... ummm not sure what else I am missing here lol

Here is the email you should receive soon though ... it lists everything you need prior to the interview date ..

I was under the impression you have to use USPS ... FedEx etc do not deliver to PO boxes ... I could be wrong .... I would think certified USPS is fine .. it will only take 2-3 days to get there ... in the grand scheme of things ( How long the whole process takes ) it isn't really worth spending the extra cash to over night etc ... just my 2 copper ..

They are a bit slow right now it seems with the K1's ( Busy with those work Visas I guess ) .... you SO is right though ... many many months of waiting ... the first NOA1 is nice to receive but after you get it you realize ... wow now the real wait starts ... because you won't hear ANYTHING for 2-5 months while you wait for NOA2 ... I suspect you will receive your NOA1 in the next week or so though.

Looking at the most recent NOA2 ... it was almost 3 months to the day between NOA1 and NOA2 ... I don't think we are going to see many 1 or 2 month NOA2's right now ... 3 months seems to be what it looks to be.

OP - Life is not fair! It took me 32 months (yes almost 3 years) to get my (now) husband here because our consulate was so backed up. Use this time productivity and know it will pass.

Did you include the boarding passes as well? If you only sent the itinerary there is a pretty good chance they will send a RFE from what I have read. Not really a big deal if they do this as it sounds like you would be able to produce photo copies of your passport anyway. Good luck and god speed!

yes its true one year seven months and no noa2, i have contacted every governmental official that i could find email and or physical address for, and to top it off looks like our attorney did a disappearing act, only answers i get now from his firm is from a women attorney and she states different than he did on what to do to end this nightmare or ways of resolving it, so either they did a policy flip while i been waiting or he is M.I.A.
If i knew then what i know now i would have married perviz my first visit and did direct filing would have been finished with this mess.
sorry to sound so angry this morning maybe im just nervous about this info pass appointment lol i think its going to take every bit of emotional and physical strength not to loose it if they give me the same old story of security or extra back ground review. smile.gif

On August 3rd I would be calling USCIS and my elected official ... at that point you will be out of the current CSC 5 month timeline ... actually personally I would be contacting my state senator know already if it was me .. because it may take 1 to 2 weeks for them to contact USCIS as they need you to complete a form to release information about your case ... good luck ... you should be hearing soon and if not I would be contacting them.

Have you tried calling NVC to see if they received your case there? It has happened before where a petition has been approved and sent on to NVC but the petitioner didn't receive a email or hard copy in the mail ... might want to give that a try as well... good luck and hope you hear something soon

If not this proves how f'd up their system is ( Not trying to take away your thunder here) but it is really depressing to those waiting months already ...

Personally we are moving onto our 4th month now since we mailed the petition. 3 and half months isn't long compared to what a lot of others have waited especially from the VSC center ...

This is interesting though ... any ideas of how or why such a quick approval ?

Passport for me .... and I forgot to sign 2 of the pages for my G-325 ... However my RFE had 3 canned sections ... but I believe all 3 sections where linked to the photo copy of the passport ... basically one of the sections said if no stamps in passport .. or date imprinted photos you can include this blah blah blah ... than had a section at the end about having all documents translated if not in enlgish.

We just recently got a RFE and part of the RFE was 2 unsigned forms by me the petitioner ... I'd print off all 4 for each the petitioner and the beneificary and sign all 8 just to make sure ...

The main part of the RFE was a request for a photo copy of my passport but they did send the 2 unsigned G-325's with it to be signed by me.

Well, that's taking into account the Montreal consulate moves faster than it's moving now! I've been following that and it's not looking pretty, but hopefully that will change when it's our turn.


I know I've been following that as well and frankly its BS. People in 3rd world countries are getting their interview within weeks and we're waiting 3 or more months just to get SCHEDULED???? Thats nuts. If they are so understaffed....HIRE some people or let some of the other consulates handle some of them. There's a US consulate in Toronto...why can't they process the k-1's? Its just plain ridiculous.



Maybe I read this wrong ( I hope I did anyway ) ... but are you saying people in 3rd world countries should not be approved as fast or as timely as other countries?

Each consulate is obviously different on how they process cases and how fast they are able to process them .... maybe I just misread what you were trying to say ....
