Hi mommies, tagal ko ring di nakadalaw dito. Minsan reading mode lang. Congrats ulit sa mga bagong panganak.

Letcher just turned 5 months last August 16, he weigh 15.4 lbs and 25.5" long. I stop breastfeeding just a month ago, wala na kasi talaga akong mapiga :lol:. Luckily di ako nahirapang magpatuyo ng breast ko, siguro dahil I kept on breastfeeding kahit na mahina na ang pag produce ko and it just drain by itself without giving me some pain. He is scooting a lot now and trying hard to crawl, he might start to crawl soon kasi napapansin namin na naitataas na nya ang butt nya. We started to feed him baby foods too and we gave him vegetables (green beans, carrots and potato) for the start para di daw mahirapan sa pagpakain ng vegetables paglaki sabi ng daddy, followed by fruits. Di naman kami nahirapan sa pagpakain. We also inquire from his pedia if we can already give him water. But they suggest to give him apple juice mix with water (1 oz water, 1 oz juice) at least 4 oz a day and he really likes it. Finally he poops everyday now.

Pink - buti naman at di nagkabukol si zac nung nahulog sa bed. Mula nung nag umpisang mag scoot si letcher di ko na sya nilalagay sa bed namin to sleep, minsan kapag nakatulog sya sa bed namin talagang nililipat ko sya sa crib nya. Takot kasi akong mahulog, naiikot na nga nya ang crib sa pag change lang ng position while he sleep. Sa umaga yan makita ko yung ulo nya nasa corner na.

Akala ko naman eh by that age diretso na ang tulog ng mga babies through the night. Minsan si Letcher kapag natulog ng 11pm, 6 or 7 am na ang gising nya. Yun ay kung konti lang ang oras ng nap nya sa araw. Pero madalas parin ang gising nya every 4-5 hours sa gabi.

Davanj - I had my period exactly 6 weeks after I gave birth, so I was bleeding during my postpartum checkup. Nabigla nga ako kasi sabi nila when you are breastfeeding you will have your period later but not on me.

Zac is more than 7 months old na. Madaldal na malikot. Lahat inaabot, ako naman taga-pulot at tiga taas ng gamit. One time I was doing something tas malapit cya sa akin pero nasa walker cya tas napansin ko na lang na hawak ni Zac yung pinakaplug-in ng laptop at ina-unplug nya. Ang bilis ng reflex ko at natampi ko yung kamay nya sabay sigaw ng NO! Natakot at naiyak tas ako naman naiyak din kasi napalo ko cya ng di sinasadya :( Kasi naman natakot ako bigla na baka makuryente. After nun, lumayo cya sa outlet ng kuryente ng umiiyak tas kapag lumilingon sa outlet eh iiyak ulit. Natrauma na ata which I think is good pra iwas disgrasya. Sana di na nya ulitin at ayun bibili kami nung safety outlet cover.[/b][/color]

Happy 1st Birthday Ethan! Congrats to Maizy at nakaka roll over na sya. Ganun ba talaga magiging feeling ng mommy kapag lumaki na sila? I mean are we gonna miss them being a baby? Kasi when we were at the doctor's clinic the other day, one mom told me when she saw me holding Letcher that she miss her daughter being a baby hehe. Siguro nga, ngayon kasi feeling ko gusto ko na syang lumaki kagad.

Just an update to my son, he just turned 4 months last July 16 and got another set of shots. He started to roll over on both ways 10 days before he turn 4 months. He is starting to do new things now like screaming/laughing too load. Sometimes he'll wakes up in the middle of the night and will just grin and want to talk kaya late na kami nagigising sa umaga. I have to adjust his crib now coz he started to climb his one foot on the front rail. I also started to mix his milk with rice cereal at least once a night before his bedtime. I might stop breastfeeding soon coz I don't produce as much as I do anymore, so I feed him more formula now than breastmilk. Di ko alam ba't nag low yung milk ko, I've tried some remedy pero di umubra, I even bought a nursing herbal tea pero wa effect. Siguro talagang nag uumpisa ng mag drain ang breastmilk ko. Sigh, gusto ko pa naman syang i breastfeed hangang sana mag 6-8 months sya.

@Doc Gracey, princess na princess pala ang dating ni Maizy. Just enjoy dressing her up until she can already pick what she wants hehe. Parang gusto ko na tuloy ng baby girl hehe.

@Davanj, our doctor adviced us to use lotion on his 1st month. Nagbabalat talaga skin ng mga baby esp on their hands and feet but nothing to worry about. What you can do for the meantime is mildly scrub her skin with face rug while giving her a bath.

As for breastfeeding...why does your father-in-law have any say in your decision to breastfeed or not anyway :blink:
Besides, your baby's health is so much more important than nice-looking boobies, di ba? plus, when your breasts get engorged with milk, they get larger (and perhaps will be more appealing to hubby :D ). Your milk will start to come in by the 5th day post-delivery, although you will already be secreting that oh-so-important colostrum even before giving birth. If you want to exclusively breastfeed, you may want to let the nursery know your wishes to have the child feed solely from you. Breastmilk is a lot blander than formula...baka kasi mas piliin ng baby yung formula. don't worry that baby isn't getting enough...he will let you know when he's had enough or not. Mind you, newborn babies feed more often than weeks-old infants simply because their stomachs are a lot smaller (think ping-pong ball as max stomach size) Note: a baby's seemingly "big" belly is due to the liver being the largest abdominal organ. Anyway, your newborn will feed about every 1-2 hours, every hour if breastfed as breastmilk is more easily digested than formula. You may consult a lactation consultant while in the hospital for help/instruction on proper latch-on. If you do decide to breastfeed, go ahead and feed baby whenever he wants to feed; the more he feeds from you, the more milk you will produce. And don't forget to load up on fluids (water, if possible) and continue your prenatal vits and iron tabs. If baby is asleep and your breasts are full, pump it out and store it to feed to baby when he wakes up...again to stimulate more milk production. As much as possible, try to feed exclusively with your milk. With Maizy, she was always hungry and I was post-CS so that that darned pain meds kinda messed up my lactation, and the pain of having to move about was REALLY uncomfortable for me so that I couldn't really relax and max my milk production. But I still fed her from the breast when I could; she was probably taking at least 4oz from me. I still supplemented with formula though, despite what my lactation consultant told me. I think she had 1-2 bottles of formula a day and the rest was from me. I did not worry about if she was getting enough or not; her weight and height (both in the 90th %ile) told me that she was. :)


I agree, very well said Doc Gracey. I guess it depends on how will you take care of your breast after you breastfeed so it wont sugged. I have a friend who breastfeed for 6 months and her breast still looks good.

Brettane, Enfamil ang milk ni Zac. Di na kasi ako pinapadalhan ng Enfamil ng coupon kaya nagsign-up ako sa Similac for coupons :D Pagnaubos na yung Enfamil na bigay ng WIC eh itry-try namin yung Similac kung gusto ni Zac. Kapag nagustuhan nya eh baka i-switch ko cya sa Similac since nakakadiscount kami sa kanila bec of coupons. Isa pa kasi feeling ko di na kami bibigyan ng WIC ng gatas. Binigyan kami ng check pero feeling ko last na check na yun. Mga mommy ask ko lang my son is turning 2 mos old na next month and have a doc appointment, I guess for vaccine, sa mga na research ko several type of vaccine pala ang ibibigay for 2 mos old baby, ask ko lang sabay sabay ba yun? and ok lang ba, although di pa naman proven na cause ng autism eh medyo takot din ako. Kayo ba pina vaccine nyo ba agad baby nyo?

My son got his 4 vaccines when he turned 2 months. Actually di naman exactly 2 months nya nakuha kasi pina move namin appointment nya due to the unavailability of my husband. 3 shots yun and 1 oral. Then another vaccines next month (4 months old). My husband and I believe on vaccinations kaya pina vaccine namin kagad baby namin. It's really up to the parents.

@brettane, hala! ba't ano prob mo sa kidney dati? Si Zac kasi parang normal lang naman as in wala kang mapapansin na kakaiba sa kanya. Yung ihi nya is normal lang at hindi rin cya nahihirapan umihi. Ba't daw ganun color ng wee wee mo? Saka ano tawag dun sa sakit na ganun? When naging ok yung kidney mo? Dami ko tanong eh noh? sencay na hehe.

Oo, type ko nga din yung mga Filipino shirts dun at balak ko din bumili. I am not sure kung when pero balak ko talaga yan kahit noon pa. Ewan ko ba ba't di matuloytuloy hehe.


It was more than a kidney infection kaya naging ganun n kulay ng ihi ko. Sa arinola n nga ako nag wiwiwi nun para ma obserbahan ako. Nawala din yun thru medication.

Zac just just turned 6 months old last 17th and he had his Renal Ultrasound too on that day. Maybe sa Monday or Tuesday pa namin malalaman ang result. Nakakatuwa kasi ang bilis na ni Zac sa walker nya tas marunong na cyang magback-off kapag na stuck yung walker nya sa corner. Nagbaback-off cya pra makaliko actually nung ika 3rd day nya in his walker na laman yun pero now eh ang bilis na nya :dance:

@Brettane, wala nmn kakaiba kay Zac in regards sa condition nya specially sa pagweewee. Parang nirmal lang na bata na walang problema hehe. I got that Father's day shirt idea on TV kasi lagina lang t-shirt, pants, watch and regalo ko sa kanya every occasion kaya gusto ko this time eh mafeel nya na Father's Day talaga hehe. Alam ko kasi kasabihan sa atin na huwag gupitan ang hair ng baby til they get 1 yr old kasi magiging sakitin daw ang baby. Yun ang sabi nila pero hindi nmn kasi ako mahilig maniwala sa kasabihan, konti lang yung pinaniniwalaan ko. Cute yung website na nishare mo, pwede ka ring mamili ng pangregalo dun. Sayang ayaw kasi ni Zac ng pacifier.


Buti naman kung ganon, sana negative ang result. I had a kidney trouble when i was a kid, pag umuhi ako non kulay coke. Pabalik balik ako sa hospital noon. Pero buti ngayon di na ko sinusumpong. Nakapili na ko ng shirt pero di ko pa chini check out, nasa cart ko na. Ang dami kasing pagpipiliian, kainis yung mga baby bodysuit doon 6 mos. ang pinakamaliit pero umorder narin ako para kay Letcher yung "50% Filipino" print at umorder din ako ng para sa akin hehehe. Hubby ko naman di mahilig sa watch, nabibigatan daw sya sa kamay at di daw sya maingat ayaw nya ng naga gasgas. Yung christmas gift ko sa kanyang watch 2 years ago eh nasa drawer lang, ilang beses lang nya sinuot hhhmmpp. Di na daw kasi uso ang watch ngayon kasi karamihan daw eh sa cellphone na tumitingin ng oras. Eh ako naman collector ng wrist watch. Yun pala ang kasabihan sa haircut sa mga bata. Ang alam ko lang when they turn 1 year old pero di ko alam ang reason hehe. Si Letcher pacifier nya o yung fist nya ang pampatulog kaya nasanay narin.

To all mommies, may tanong lang ako about sa discharges ko kulay pink po xa tapus medyo naging brown din yung iba..sign na ba yan na malapit na ako manganak? tapus sumasakit na yung tiyan ko na parang menstrual cramps, sabi nga ni doc kapag ka about 5 mins interval na yung gap sa contraction ko tapus masakit na maxado pupunta na daw ako sa hospital, ang problema eh maxado high yung pain tolerance ko pano kung para sa akin di pa maxado masakit..hehe, sana nga magbreak nalng ang water bag ko para go na kaagad kami. Takot hubby ko na magwait pa kami magbreak ang water kc lahi namin ang easy labor, mama ko para lng nia ipopo ang baby..lol..sana matulad ako sa kanya para makalabas agad kami sa hospital. Anyway, iupdate ko lng po kayo kung sakali lalabas na c baby Jasmine ko today...God Bless!!


Ganyan din discharge ko before I give birth. Tumawag ako sa OB ko, normal lang daw yun. High din pain tolerance ko, di ko naranasan yung sobrang sakit bago ako manganak hinintay ko nalang pumutok water ko tapos di rin ako nag epi kasi sabi ko medyo kaya ko naman. Goodluck!

On saturday, he had his first hair cut kasi it was getting longer and frizzy. He's got both me and my husband's type of hair, may pagka curly na straight. mga mommies thank you for the warm welcome!!! my son is turning 1 month old this coming sunday pero meron akong na observe e, bakit kaya pag gabi habang na tutulog siya galaw sya ng galaw as in parang sipa ng sipa at nag uunat, while pag morning naman very peaceful naman tulog nya? colic ba yun or gas lang, di ko nga din alam anu difference ng 2 e. and tanung ko na rin pag midnite diba nagising then pina dede, anu ginagawa nyo kung kinatulugan yun pag dede then panu pa burp kung tulog. Pacensya na kayo dami kong question kasi mga nakita ko most of you naman ahead sa akin, so alam ko marami na kayong advice for me. Thank you sa inyo. Special thanks to evelyn nga pala kasi sya nagsimula ng forum na ito, very helpul talaga.


Hi welcome to the thread. I can relate to that coz my son did the same way when he was about your son's age. He grunts, kick and stretch while he's asleep. Tapos ang lakas pa nyang mag grunt as in nagigising ako. Accdg. to his doctor its normal as their stomach is getting used to what they eat. So what I did, i search about it and adviced to put the baby on their side when sleeping. At pinapadapa ko which is effective at mahimbing pa tulog nila. BUTTTTT! just watch him, its not really advisable to put the baby on their tummy due to SIDS. Just ALWAYS keep an eye on him. Lagi mo syang silipin. Normal lang taaga na nakakatulog ang baby pag dumede lalo na sa age nya, galawin mo sya kapag natutulog. Himasin mo katawan nya, paa para magising at magpatuloy sa pagdede. CENOMAR is Certificate of no Marriage both you and your spouse get before you marry each other.. I think others are not aware of this because they had a church wedding.. We had a Civil Wedding by a Judge and he required us to get a CENMAR before we could marry..this was 2007.
I think you have to submit the required additional docus ASAP... we are lucky to not get an AP or reinterview.. My husband had his interview march4 and he will submit the additional docus this week in USEM...YOu have to submit that ASAP..

Yeah USEM is "hitting up" spouse visa apllicants for CEMAR since they stopped doing document verification.
The sh!tty thing is they don't mention married applicants should have it at their interviews ANYWHERE in the instructions.

I was also interview last Feb. 19, 2009-put on AR; but in my case i received a 221g form, no documents asked just saying that WAIT UNTIL YOU HEAR FROM US.. till now waiting and waiting!

As far as talking to other members here getting 221G with marked "WAIT UNTIL YOU HEAR FROM US" will take long to get your visa. Unlike my case, i got 221G also but just requiring additional docs (Cenomar) and after submitting that cenomar i got my visa in 5 days. Asked your husband or fiance to call the USEM to follow up to get their attention.

I was in window 44 my Co was the young good looking guy. I will get my Cenmar after 10 days and will go back to the embassy and good thing i didnt get the mark "wait until you hear from us" he just told me that he will not hold me that long. Thanks

Hi everyone...I had my Interview last Feb. 25, 2009 and I was surprised when they require me to submit a Cenomar or Cemar before they approve my Visa and the CO told me that he would not hold me for long after i submit that. They've seen my Marriage Cert. authenticated by the NSO and i had no idea that Cenomar/Cemar is still needed coz they didnt require that from the City hall when we applied for a Marriage Cert. I requested a Cemar after my interview and i would get it by early next week. My worry is, how long i should wait to get my visa approve after i pass the Cemar? I heared from other people that it would take 3 months to re-process papers. Is it true?

I was overwhelmed with teary eyes when i got a call from my cousins that Air 21 guys are in front of our house. Since I was in the province for 4 days. Good thing I left an authorization letter even i had no idea how long they will deliver my visa after submitting additional docs. It only took exactly 5 days, though i was worried that it might delay for weeks or month. At the moment, im getting ready for my luggage and working some other personal stuff. Leaving on April 1, 2009.

Ok, you got the site to where you can check all the requirements, but one thing is not in there. You should also bring your cenomar/cemar. The consul will ask you submit that and if you dont have it, he/she will ask you to go back if you have it already and you know what that means, your visa will be delay. Cemar processing takes more or less 10 working days if you call the NSO Helpline plus. Hope you have it already before you get married.

I have a friend who did that but he is not a USC though. Thats why i said its not impossible to happen. Let's say he doesnt know the Embassy rules before marrying a Phil. Citizen, and they just went to the civil registry directly to file for a marriage licence. The Civil Registry will also require him to get an LCM. Before we get married in the Phils. I called the Civil Reg. in our town first to get all the requirements we need to file for a Marriage license. Yes you are right and as I also said, the Embassy will see it from their records that he didnt furnish this doc. BTW, we have our own opinion here.

Well that is possible if you bribe someone from the Civil Registry. Thats not impossible in the Phils. LCM is the important requirement for a Marriage Licence. Or maybe that is not required in Davao del Sur. I dont know how will that affect your application for your wife even you get an Authenticated Marriage Cert from NSO. The US Embassy will have your records when you start your application and they might detect that you didnt obtain an LCM before you get married. I just hope they dont mind.

I cant see any problem in filing I-130. As soon as you get the receipt from I-130 then thats the time you have to file for I-129F with no cost. It will only take 3 months after that. I went thru that process. If you gonna wait for the I-130 to get approved, it will take you 1-2 years. Visit uscis.gov for instructions. Goodluck!

I would not even consider the K3 option. The cr1 option should be thought of as a reward.

3. AUTOMATIC SOCIAL SECURITY CARD
$. DEAL WITH USCIS LESS!!!!

This just when you want to be with your spouse soon. You have a point there about the CR1, thats if you are willing to wait. Think about it. Applying for SSN is not that hard, you can process your green card while you are already with your spouse here. I dont believe about that no need to wait to wok, US will not give you work automatically, hehe.

We had the same case but what they asked from me was my cemar (certificate of marriage). They return my passport with white sheet and instructions. You can send the additional docs thru Air 21 or personally but i advised you to bring it personally. They will not interview you again, all you have to do is get a no. and wait for it to be called. This time they wont call one by one, they will call 5 numbers all together in line to the designated window and will take your passport and additional docs. Theres no time to ask anything, what they will only say is that "you can go home now, we will let you know if we need more docs from you and if not you will just receive your visa". They will not tell you when. But good thing, i met someone from there submitting the same docs. He told me that the consul told him that as long as he will submit the right docs, he will get his visa in 3-5 days and that happened to me. I got my visa in exactly 5 days. Well the consul only told me he will not hold me that long but still no definite time when he will issue my visa. Good luck!
