Hi fellow VJ's its nice to know how our in-laws loves us and vice versa. My mother in law is wonderful even she is a little shy type. We talked on the phone when i was still in the Phils. We exchange cards for special occasions. We live close to her house and the first time we spent there for a night, she wanted us to sleep on her master's bedroom and she'll sleep in my husbands old room. Maybe she tought that Im so picky but I didnt let her to do that. She is now starting to teach me patiently on how to drive coz my husband said that only my mom in law can drive slow in the family, lol. I have 2 sister in law and they are cool too. The youngest which is the same age as me lives with her and the eldest lives on the next door. My husband spent the holiday in the Phil. last year and most of the stuff in his luggage were all gifts fom my in-laws. My favorite gift was the one from my mom in law, it was a cooking scrap book where you can write your own recipe or a recipe that you learn from others, because she knows that i love watching cooking shows, though Im not a good cook like her hehe. But anyway when i open the book I saw a scan picture of my husband when he was 5 years old on the first page and the rest was her shared recipe's. It was funny because i didnt even recognize the picture until my husband told me it was him. I never had a chance to meet my father in law because he left them when my husband was only 17 years old and he never bother to see them anymore even he only lives on the same town with his new family. This is the sad part too, he even ignored his kids if he see them in the store or in the street like a strangers, kinda weird but its true. My husband said he is a tough guy, he beats them when they were a kid even my mom in law so it dont matter if i dont see him coz for sure he would never care.

Nice meeting you here Brettanne, When I was in PI, my Mom in-law sent me a photo album and it has a cute little picture with two kids. Those two kids were really really cute. Then I thought the one little kid was a girl. I realized that it was my husband when he was 4 years old. laughing.gif He really look like a very cute little girl. LOL, I really love his eyes! heart.gif

LOL, yes the picture of my husband too was like a little girl thats why i didnt recognize him. Maybe because their skin tone are really white that they look a girl hehe.

[/quote] I found your story interesting. Its not because we have the same problem but its because you got my sympathy. Im married to a divorced man too that has 2 kids but not living with us. I just dont believe in one thing, "what you dont know will not hurt you" hhhhmmm kinda make sense but it bothers you isnt it? We want to have peace of mind. I know how you feel. It would also hurt me about that computer thing. My husband shared me his email and computer password and vice versa. I can always read his text message before him. He dont mind that, because he knows he dont keep anything from me. Just a piece of advice, whatever you feel, whatever you wanna tell him....say it! You have the right to know everything even that would hurt you. That will make you feel so much better. I also have the attitude of keeping things in myself just not to offend someone especially my husband, but he always know when i dont feel good or if im pissed so we'll talk about it. Communication is very important, dont let him think that everything he does never bothers you at all. Speak up!

I love american, japanese, italian, korean, mexican and chinese foods which i already tried back home. True talaga.

Pag gusto mo i-post dito, i-copy mo dito yung link. Meron pa sigurong makakapag-explain in detail, help naman.

Angel Saint, meron kang makikitang box sa bandang baba sa right side, box, tapos browse then upload.

PhilippinesAbout to head to the Phils for Christmas/New Years and return with my wife :)
QUOTE (srogue @ Dec 8 2009, 04:04 AM) <{POST_SNAPBACK}>
Hey guys. I am about to head to the Phils to be with my wife and her family for Christmas and New Years.

I have a couple of questions. For one, my wife needs to get her stamp on her Passport/Visa from the CFO. She has already attended the CFO, and just needs the stamp. How long does this take and can it be done the day we depart the Phils in mid January?

One problem though is that I will be there for more than 21 days! I think I will be there for 24 days total... what do I need to be able to extend my visa? I heard that if you are married to a Phil. citizen, you can stay longer, is that true?

Also, I found airfare from Manila to Cebu on the 26th of Dec is about 4-5 times normal price! Has anyone sailed on the super ferries, or know any other safe or acceptable methods of getting from Manila to cebu without spending an arm and a leg? I can pay the ticket price, but would prefer to save the money on having fun over the holidays!

Lastly, if anyone has any advice for doing things in the Phils before we depart for America, please let me know! smile.gif Things like getting her hair done in the Phils before we depart (its a ton cheaper there than in the states!), already had dental work done for her and myself, but any other things we might need to do beforehand or things we need to know or prepare for at the POE etc would be greatly appreciated!

Thanks, and Merry Christmas to you guys!

The CFO sticker/stamp will be done in 30 mins. (based on my experience) as you've said she already attended the seminar. If you plans to stay longer than 21 days, you must apply for an extension at the Philippine Bureau of Immigration and Deportation's main office at Intramuros, Manila or at any of its provincial offices and it has nothing to do whether you are married to a filipina citizen or not.

A treat on a beauty parlor would be a good idea before coming here. I pampered myself (beauty parlor, spa, dental, last OB visit) before flying here as I know spa and dental are expensive here.

And oh don't forget the farewell party. Please enjoy the holiday in the Philippines!

Hi,

I understand your anxiety on what happened and the desire to be with your daughter. I would like to ask if under what visa did your daughter apply?

At this point it is best to secure the documents they required the soonest and submit the same to the embassy. A friend of mine requested for a cenomar and was available in a week. As long as it is proven that youre not married to the biological father of your daughter, then under the family code of the phils, the custody of the child is yours( as long as there is no court order declaring otherwise)and as long as your daughter is qualified and no existing prohibitions then i dont see any reason why the visa be denied.

In my case, my marriage to the father of my children was declared null and void and the custody of the children was granted to me. During the interview I presented a copy of the annotated marriage contract of my marriage to my exhusband( with the information of the declaration of the nullity of marriage), the birth cert of my son and his NBI clearance. His visa was approved as my derivative. My daughter will hopefully have her interview next month and will be taking same documents to prove that she is qualified to be my derivative.

Keep the faith and be strong!

It was under IR2 petitioned by my USC husband. My Mom is waiting for her to be called by the USEM that way she can go there and submit all the required documents. But i think, they will only call her until they have the CENOMAR in hand. I just dont know how long we will wait. I don't know that after submitting the documents they would still say that my daughter is under AR so wait until we call again. My mom went to the church and school Dec. 2 to get the school transcripts and baptismal certificate, and they both told her it will be ready by Dec. 9. I'm praying by then, NSO already gave my CENOMAR to the USEM.

You can request your Cenomar thru NSO Helpline and they will deliver it to your home address not in the USEM. NSO don't deliver Cenomar to USEM. Your mom can go back to the USEM as soon as she have all the required documents. Based on my experience, i got my visa in 4 days after submitting a cenomar.

PhilippinesNO CLUE WHATS GOING ON!

I'm going to chime in here and offer a bit of advice, as well as my thoughts as to what may have happened here.

It sounds like you were your husband's back-up plan, after his attempt to court the "friend" appeared futile. I think it's obvious he has feelings for her or he would never have pursued her in the first place. I also believe the friend is playing games with him, as well as you. She enjoyed the feeling of being chased by your husband and probably thought his courting her would end once he got married to you. Now, she is just testing him, seeing how much power she really has over him, by trying to come between you two. Your husband may have feelings for her, but I doubt if she really has feelings for him. It seems she's just enjoying her role of interfering in your relationship. I've seen this many times. Once the thrill of the chase is over, the woman suddenly loses interest and dumps the guy. Unfortunately, this knowledge is not of much use to you, other than to understand the woman's motives for trying to make your husband break his sacred vows.

Therefore, I am going to suggest that you try a strategy that is opposite to that of what most everyone else here has suggested. Do not show your husband any more jealousy and do not question him about his whereabouts when he leaves. Just pretend that it doesn't matter and that you do not care what he does. In fact, you should take a few mystery disappearances yourself (even if it is just a walk around the block). If your husband does really care about you, he may start to turn his focus back to you. If not he will run to the other woman and you will eventually learn to get over him. By acting like you don't care now, it will help you learn how to deal with the situation if it really does result in him choosing the other woman.

Also, if you wish to remain in the US (even if it means you'll be by yourself), it is very possible to do so, even if you and your husband end up getting a divorce. You entered the marriage in good faith, even if your husband did not. The USCIS will not fault you for that. However, they will expect for you to be able to financially support yourself.

I agree. Reverse psychology.

Letcher learned to do "high five" now, tinuruan ng auntie ko dito sa FL. Marunong narin syang magpa picture ngayon, laging nakangisi. Nakakatuwa talaga ang development ng mga baby natin no. Hirap lang ako sa paghahabol sa kanya kapag nagku crawl sya, mahilig kasing tumayo basta me nakakapitan kaya lang minsan eh nagla land sya on his back tapos tatama ang ulo nya sa floor. Naku more habulan pa to kapag nag start na sya maglakad.

About naman sa pag change in public, siguro ayaw nya talaga kasi matigas yung changing station.

Ngayon naku parang nakakakita ng multo everytime na mag vacuum ako, as in sumisigaw pa.

Except kung magsha shower ako or me bisita hehe.

Me problem pa pala ako...all of these are only happening in FL. First time ko syang binigyan ng bath dito sa FL without his baby bath tub, naku natatakot sya sa big bath tub. Normal ba to? Eh pagbalik namin nito sa VA back to rear facing ang car seat nya.

God Bless!

magnolia28 - goodluck sa baby shower. Hindi ako nag baby shower kasi wala naman akong mga friends dito mga relatives ko nasa ibang state at 2 lang sister in law ko. Bale nagbigay nalang sila ng gifts. Tama sila kahit san ka pumunta meron kang makikitang made in china. Meron din made in the Phils. kapag na swertehan mo. Husband ko dati binilhan ako ng Old navy shirt dito tapos made in the phils. lol

Goodluck and enjoy being pregnant! God Bless!

Welcome back!

Eves - Nung una inisip ko yun na i reklamo sa manufacturer pero nothing really bad happen naman and it could happen from all cribs kapag di naibaba yung matress.

Mahirap na talagang mag alaga kapag nag umpisa na silang mag crawl, tumayo at maglakad coz they still don't understand what "NO", "DON'T" means.

Pink - starting from 9 mos. babies are ready for table foods according to Letcher's doctor. Umpisahan mo sa kaning me sabaw at mga soups.

Sa mga mommies pala na bumibili ng beechnut baby foods, ipunin nyo yung label ng jar and go to the website. You need 48 labels proof of purchase then fill up the form and send it to them and they will send you 4 pcs. $1.00 coupon. I just did.

Hala nakakatakot naman yan. Buti naagapan mo agad.

Sheila - You already got 1 vote from me.

Pink - Maganda nga yung Avatar costume, carry mo yan.

He always wake up first so kapag nagising na sya gigising narin ako. Though he can entertain himself by playing on his crib for a while. So bumangon na ko to wash my face and brush my teeth. But when I was about to brush, I heared him coughing. So I though he was just acting kasi minsan ganun sya. Buti nalang at naisipan kung silipin sya and I saw him hanging his neck on the front rail of his crib. It's been few weeks kasi na he can stand up with support, especially when he is on his crib. Nakahawak lang sya sa rail, well of course I thought it was cool to see him standing with support but I never thought things like that could happen. The other day, we were already planning to adjust his mattress down, pero sabi namin di pa naman nya nai aakyat ang mga paa nya para makatalon sya. The way he was hang was he fell from his side at di na sya makagalaw. It's not being careless, pero things could really happen that we dont expect.
