Don't worry Lora! Lima's embassy is very very quick! I know a few people who after they got their NOA2 got their visa in hand after 4 weeks.....so let's say that you get your approval today, you still have the chance to spend new years with Oscar!!!!

If I have said it once, I have said it a thousand times: There is nothing wrong with venting. That is what these boards are for. People need to release their frustrations about this process and if it means one more post about how this is all f'ed up then so be it. Not everyone deals with this process in the same way and not everyone believes that God is in control. Everyone deals with this in different ways and no way is better than another. What is wrong with people sharing their feelings here? If it helps someone deal with all this then so be it.




Well maybe when people our in our position of waiting now 176 days and not touch or answers and missing there loved ones they will understand....That is why I come here....not just for informational shareing and sharing in congrats but to get help with this roller coaster called Visa Journey......from hell.....sorry....I am trying

Im concerned. Im a mid June filer..watching as mid JULY filers get approved. IF MY file JUST got to an adjudicators desk....HOW did July filers get there before me????? The way Officer Nancy told me about the process is this:

1. They pull a create off the shelf in time order and its assigned to an officer
2. Each Create has about 30 petitions in it to work
3. AT THAT time name checks are ordered...
THIS is where i have the issue.......This is no longer about WHOSE name checks come back first...MINE weren't even pulled yet...NOTHING has been touched on my file since June 19. SOOOOOOOOO HOW are others getting approved from JULY, SEPT, OCT????????????????? No excuse to use it for training, why not just grab the NEXT create??? This isn't making sense...dont get me wrong..im HAPPY for those approved...NOT happy with the system.
4. After name checks come back, the file is worked
EAch file DOES take about 15 minutes, up to 30 minutes she said. THAT means that ONE create is only 2 days worth of work. So, the idea of my file sitting on someones desk waiting for name checks, or under a HUGE pile of backlog doesn't add up to WHY others so much later are getting approved.....

Anyone else find this odd???? Does this make sense how Im seeing it??? Its a broken system to say the least.

I broke down and called the Vermont Service Center today. Spoke to the nice Information Officer (Nancy). She actually remembered me from talking before!! Anyways...the "create" with my petition is now on an officers desk for adjudication. Thank God. She said the name checks take a few days and that each create has 30 petitions in it. So If I estimate right about 2 days worth of work. So we SHOULD be hearing sometime this week if all is smooth about our petition. Im just glad there wasn't a problem with it. She also stated no one there got hershey's kisses of the officers. unsure.gif I did ask... I joked and said that if Mr Novaks waist looks a bit bigger...she knows where all those chocolates went to. Officer Nancy is the nice one. She is so sweet. When I call Im just honest. I tell them that I just need their help..but I dont call often..Maybe once a month. Good luck to those that call...I just try to be patient and understanding that they are busy, compliment them on the recent work...acknowledge that they are under the gun as workers...then ask questions....just sound lost, confused and helpless...LOL. Seemed to work for me.

How do you get through to an actual officer? I am getting tired of the customer disservice line. I keep getting less than helpful, rude individuals who tell me the exact opposite of the last person.

I simply follow the prompts. Skip the intro. Then 2, 4 and follow the prompts for RFE to get to live person. It will transfer you to Vermont Service Center directly. You may just be getting the regular customer service reps. NOT Vermont service center.




the problem is though Faith is my crate was assigned to someone on November 1..........and here it is November 26 and nothing.....I have my Congressman in the middle of an inquiry now so I hope they can find out what happened to our assigned crate since November 1.....this is just so frustrating....I hope we are just a fluke and not what has happened to the June applications........

I sent a letter directly to the director of VSC about the slow not in order approval process and faxed a copy to every Senator and Cogressperson who has anything to do with USCIS on Wednesday of last week....I asked for hearings into this situation for the next session of Congress......the gross mismangement of this should cost at least Mr Gonzalez his job....this really not help me or the 700 petition like mine passed over, lost or whatever the May/June petitions had happen to them.......I totally agree with you to make ourselves a painful reminder of the reality of their ineptness.....Lora

I know exactly how you feel. i get a little more edgy every day I get closer to 180 days. Pete's asked me to call and make sure they haven't simply lost our paperwork. I haven't called them at all thus far, simply because I know it won't do me any good, but... I think I'll call Monday.

You really shouldn't have to file formal request for service. I paid for it within six months- it should happen! ... it might be rude of me to say so, but I don't really care for their excuses (reasons whatever tongue.gif ). unsure.gif

We'd thought we were going to have a late winter wedding, back when VSC was going strong, and now we're thinking maybe October.

Today was suppose to be our wedding day......but we might as well be on 2 seperate planets...He is in Peru and I am in Virginia....and the back up date of January 1 is not going to happen either.....I am begining to think the petitions from the first part of June are sitting on someone desk who has not showed to work for the last month....on leave, vacation or got lost going to work and there is no recourse until 210 days after filing....that sucks......



I am sorry about the wedding date...we missed ours also...we filed May 11....no RFE...no NOA2....it is at Vermont and we have a congressional inquiry and still nothing...it is crazy....


So do they have an explaination for this really bad service.....out of order petitions being approved while others get nothing...pasedt over....lost.....misplaced......and at this point I think they really do not care.......I am sorry for your wait......Life on hold really is unbearable........I hope you get news soon....Lora

I've seen that the embassy in Egypt is sometimes not the quickest one....

We had a box picked up from our house on Nov 7, 2011 and thankfully we heard it was delivered Sat Jan 28th, 2012. I do have tp tell you that it was very stressful dealing with FOREX and we were sure it was never going to be delivered. We have heard every excuse in the book. Trouble with shipping department, hold up with customs in Manila, then days of the "computer system" is down. We were then told that they have no say or sway with the RP workers, meaning once it hits the RP, good luck. On top of that, everyone we spoke to was NASTY. Yelling at us, giving us promises they would call back with updates (Never once received any returned call backs). Once a women named precious told my wife that the box was loaded on the truck and would be delivered. When we called two days later when the box never showed, they told me to my face that my wife must be lying. I am making it a point to let everyone know to find any other service besides FOREX. There are plenty of other services you can use. You do not want to deal with the horrible company unless you like aggravation.

Marilyn was employed in Hong Kong for a period of time. We were able to get a letter stating that the request is needed on behalf of the US embassy from St Lukes. Used that letter along with the MNL number to ask for the police clearance. Also had emails from HK police giving us the time when it was sent to the embassy and the registered mail number.

I'm not Filipino, but the issue isn't really kamunggay. It's whether you should be feeding him anything other than milk. You will hear plenty of anecdotes of people who have successfully fed their child all kinds of things early on, and others where maybe it wasn't the best thing. Like Atencio said, the common recommendation is to stick to breast milk for the first six months of life. As your son is only a month away from 6 months it should be easy enough to compromise with your wife on this issue: keep to milk for one more month, and then let your son experiment with anything (well not anything obviously, but err appropriate things) that he wants to drink/eat.

Doctors will disagree amongst themselves on many issues, particularly where the evidence is not 100% clear. Some will be happy with you taking "risks" whilst others will always err on the side of caution. So long as you and your wife are otherwise happy with the care of the paediatrician, then I would stick with them :-) Whilst remembering that your wife is right, you don't ALWAYS have to follow the doctor's advice strictly!

GOOD MORNING EVERYONE.........Well here in Northern Virginia we have 21 flakes of snow and they are starting to close schools.....Unbelieveable......I am glad that the people at the VSC are more hardy then people here.......Today is 185 days and a full 6 calender months........I am at a loss now.......Nothing else to do but live........

I must say that I am heartened by the great pace but it is mighty dispiriting at the same time. Like you, I have not had any touches lately and, no doubt, my file lies with yours at the bottom of some guy's filing drawer next to a rotting apple and a copy of Maxim.

I must say, I wish I had taken part with all of you earlier. The support here is amazing. Unfortunately, I cannot write to the forums at work due to company policy but it sure is great to keep up with the daily developments and victories.

Times are tough for Sara and I but it is heartening to know that there are others of you who understand what we are feeling and stand with us whether or not you have already been approved.




You know Oscar and I are really hurting too.....this is straining our relationship.....we are fussing at each other....and nitpicking the dumbest things.......But at the end of each day I tell him I Love Him and he calls me "mi bella esposa" and and I roll over in bed hug the pillow and sleep off the days stress and high anxiety......the problem being when I open my eyes in the morning wishing this is just been a bad dream it is not....so I call him in the morning to make the day seem better and I remember just why this struggle is so worth it in the end......Tamm......Te Amo Mucho Mas.........Oscar and Lora love each other very much......so take heart....be brave and hold tight......and remember why
