Faith I am good....this is something I should of done months ago but I was waiting for Oscar and then I could wait no more........the future .....Oscar breeds dogs and we want to start a kennel here......I can go anywhere and work being a nurse but I own a house and the market is bad so we will stay here for a while.......I am concerned about the culture shock Oscar will experience....He has never been married ....lives alone......and I still have 3 of my 5 children at home....but I love him and he loves me and it is a wonderful feeling.......I spent years unloved in a bad marriage.......for my children.....so I am thinking it may be why this is stressing me so much.....everyday is precious.....and like all of you guys I want to open my eyes and see his face next to mine every morning........It is such a wonderful moment.........

Its not bad to feel this way Lora, its human. Thats why we have this thread. I knew how I was feeling and KNEW others had to be gritting teeth with every new approval like I was. I just hated to keep up the negativity I have brewing in me in the presence of all those new approvals...its not their fault..and they are entitled to their happiness. Plus I hate to be the rain on a parade.

Just feel better..take care...

I will and thanks you guys are the best.......Misery loves company......sad but true statement.........

Hi to all waiting june fillers .. i am to nervouse depresed frustrated sterees what eles you feel also .. after recived Rfe replay yestrday and chnage of status for very first time Current Status: Response to request for evidence received, and case processing has resumed. we got touch tday again .. what is going on could somebody tell me .. just hardly try not become mad sad.gif

IF you are touched again, someone is updating your file or working on it since they recieved the RFE..hang in there..this is so hard for all us April, May, June filers. Im worried I will end up with RFE just so they can save their butts on the 6 month time limit. I to feel the stress and frustration, I fight the tears every time I see someone else from late July or August approved...Im happy for them...but at same time wanting my own noa2 as well...Feel free to stop here often, there is a small group just like you that are still waiting. God Bless.

I don't even have the energy today to deal with these emotions. I am just sitting at my desk crying. I am happy for everyone, but am doing the "why me" thing. I am just so upset. I feel so helpless. I feel like I will never get approved. crying.gif crying.gif crying.gif

Steph I feel so terrible. I simply cannot understand why you and so many others are still waiting. I won't insult you by telling you to hang in there. I know this is killing you. I am praying for you and for all the others who have yet to be approved! Please let it happen soon. Big hugs for you.

I am there with you......I feel your pain......and I keep thinking that what my grandma said......Good things come to those who wait......well with this wait all of us June filers...and May and really Mel for April we should have a special special special life with our loved ones.......Maybe when our approval comes we should play lotto with our numbers...who knows....maybe we will win........Oh I have to stop laughing......a little sore......Love you guys...Lora

Please feel better and get well soon. I am sending thoughts your way!

I am just feeling sorry for myself today. I keep thinking about how after having a previous marriage end, going through all that pain then this friggin process has to be hard too.... You'd think after rebounding and finally being happy with someone else that it would be smoother. Ugh-life is so hard sometimes. I know people have it a lot worse then me, but today I am wallowing in my own self pity. helpsmilie.gif

Same here.....I had the first marriage from h*ll.......and finding Oscar in such a manner....I was not looking.......makes all of this surreal......I almost feel it is a test....I started to cry the other day and 3 hours later I looked like Rocky.....Swollen and so very unattractive......I was feeling bad for being upset at others approvals.....I just can only be so happy......Does that sound bad?
OMG.....this sucks......and I hate it for all of us....Lora

Hi guys....Sorry for my temperary meltdown but I have a heart problem and I was letting myself get too worked up. I was in the hospital for 2 days a couple of weeks ago and I am going in tomorrow to have a cardiovertor implanted because all of the meicine is not working on my irregular heartbeats.....I have been putting it off for months because oscar wants to be here but I have waited long enough and it is now necessary that it is done now.......I will be asleep for about an hour tomorrow but I am sure all will be o.k......Now I am letting you guys know that the Congressional Liason has contacted me about the whole processing problem at VSC but they are not sure they can get it on the hearing list...they make a list and then have to organize everything so most of the hearings for this session are set but they were asking about the spring.....at this point I am going to push for some kind of accountability here on USCIS and Mr Gonzales' part so even after Oscar is here and all is good with us I think I will push this with letters and phone calls....I also told them I would be willing to testify but I doubt that woul happen so even though nothing may come of this I feel better know that at least someone is at least talking to me.......Congrats on all the approvals....Lora

I am too angry to think of anything witty to add. Your posts have given me a much needed laugh today. I believe that something needs to be done about this process to make it faster and less stressful for all of us law abiding USC's & immigrants.
When I hear talk on t.v. about legalizing all the illegals in the US right now it makes my blood boil. To think that anyone would even consider just GIVING them citizenship while questioning and nit picking our relationships apart to the point of utter ridiculousness, charging us outrageous fees for each application (which duplicates info we've already given them) each step of the way, making us wait so freakin long, separating children from parents (in some situations i've read), using their subjective judgement like they're Gods determining our fates just boggles my mind.

I think that many forget the frustration and pain they went through once they receive that petition and join their fiances/spouses. (kind of like after giving birth lol) A lawsuit, inquiry or something that would aim for a smoother process (not money for anyone) and more equality in the processing of petitions submitted is needed desperately.

Wow you are just like me........I have 3 people working on inquiries via Congress for me.....I even said I would testify.......I have talked to the Immigration Lawyers Association....to interested in rocking the boat......and the ACLU is doingresearch on some kind of Constitutional thing.....I will not let this go after my petition is over and done....No way......It is an issue for me and I have the ear of a couple of people in Congress so that helps a little......I filed June 5.....and still waiting........I understand the anger....believe me

The doctor asked "has anything unusual been happening with your activities lately?"

I love there slogan, "How can we help you?" How about doing your freaking job right??

That's obviously a forced smile. I think we're all aware now that they are completely emotionless baffoons. I see a bunch of fools sitting around a table drooling. Think about One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest. That's what a USCIS office looks like.

In all honesty the people working the service centres are just doing their jobs. It is the management and the people who make the bureaucratic rules and regulations that you should direct your anger at. wink.gif

I don't buy it. I know that there must be a few hard workers on their staff, but nothing will convince me that there isn't a culture of laziness at VSC.

Oil Change Instructions
It's different for us and adjudicators
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
US

1. Pull up to Jiffy Lube or Valvoline Instant Oil Change when the mileage reaches 3,000 miles since the last oil change.

2. Drink a cup of coffee while they change the oil.

3. 15 minutes later, write a check and leave with a properly maintained vehicle.

Cost: $29.99 oil change, $2.00 coffee. Total $32.00

Adjudicators at VSC and CSC change oil....and work our petitions

1. Wait until Saturday, drive to the auto parts store. Buy a case of oil, oil filter, kitty litter, hand cleaner (don't forget a little tree air freshener). Write a check to the auto parts store for approximately $50.

2. Stop by 7/11 on the way home, buy a case of beer. Write a check for $20.00.

3. Drive home with oil and beer.

4. Open beer, enjoy it.

5. Spend 30 minutes looking for the jack stands.

6. Find the jack stands (finally) under the kid's pedal car, jack the car up.

7. Open another beer, drink it.

8. Place drain pan under engine.

9. Look for 9/16" box end wrench for drain plug

10. Give up looking ten minutes later, find crescent wrench.

11. Unscrew drain plug.

12. Drop drain plug into pan of hot oil. Splash hot oil onto your hands and face in the process. Cuss and swear.

13. Crawl out from under car, wipe hot oil from hands and face. Throw some kitty litter on the spilled oil.

14. Open another beer while watching the last drops of oil drain.

15. Spend 30 minutes looking for the oil filter wrench.

16. Give up looking for oil filter wrench, crawl under car and hammer a flat-head screwdriver through the oil filter and twist it off.

17. Crawl out from under car, splashing hot oil everywhere from newly made holes in oil filter.

18. Cleverly hide used oil filter in trash to avoid those pesky environmental penalties. Open another beer.

19. Install new oil filter, making sure to apply a thin coat of oil to the gasket.

20. Pour the first quart of new oil into engine.

21. Oops! Now remember the drain plug (removed in step 11). It's still swimming in the now-warm oil in the drain pan.

22. Throw more kitty litter on the quart-sized oil puddle on the floor.

23. Open another beer and drink it.

24. Find drain plug with a minimum of spillage, hand-tighten in drain plug socket. Drink beer.

25. Crawl under car (getting oily kitty litter embedded in neck and arms). Tighten drain plug with crescent wrench, but this time, it's slippery. Bang your knuckles on the frame while tightening drain plug.

26. Throw crescent wrench across the garage in anger. Throw a fit because crescent wrench hits bowling trophy (which wife wouldn't let stay in the house).

27. Open another beer and drink it.

28. Clean hands, bandaging where needed to stop blood flow.

29. Pour in five quarts of fresh oil.

30. Lower car from jack stands. Smile at your handiwork. Open another beer and drink it.

31. Move car back to discover oil puddles you missed; apply more kitty litter to missed areas.

32. Test drive car to make sure oil doesn't leak.

33. Get pulled over a block from the house by local police, get arrested for DUI.

34. Call loving wife and bail bondsman.

35. Next day, get car out of impound yard.

Cost: $50 parts, $20 beer, Impound fee $75, Bail $1500, DUI $2500 minimum. Total $4145 (but you know the job was done right!)

Or to work a file from a couple who just wants to get married.....7 MONTHS

Job Placement Aptitude Test
Put 400 bricks in a closed room. Put your new hires in the room and close the door. Leave them alone and come back after 6 hours. Then analyze the situation:

If they are counting the bricks, put them in the Accounting Department.
If they are recounting them, put them in Auditing.
If they have messed up the whole place with the bricks, put them in Engineering.
If they are arranging the bricks in some strange order, put them in Planning.
If they are throwing the bricks at each other, put them in Operations.
If they are sleeping, put them in Security.
If they have broken the bricks into pieces, put them in Information Technology.
If they are sitting idle, put them in Human Resources.
If they say they have tried different combinations, they are looking for more, yet not a brick has been moved, put them in Sales.
If they have already left for the day, put them in Marketing.
If they are staring out of the window, put them in Strategic Planning.
If they are talking to each other, and not a single brick has been moved, congratulate them and put them in top management.
Finally! If they have surrounded themselves with bricks in such a way that they can neither be seen nor hear what you say to them. Put them adjudicating at VSC or CSC

Good is relative.........Good compared to...........????????????.......Many things are good when compared to other bad things..........So say VSC is better then CSC but to me they both suck...........waiting now 203 days......and I think they are have technical difficults until December 26th or so when they have all had a Very Merry Christmas with there LOVED ones......Unlike most of us.......hmmmmmm....like I said good is relative.......Lora

How many VSC (or CSC) officers does it take to change a lightbulb?
UNKNOWN, it's indefinitely sitting on an officer's desk UNDER REVIEW!!!!!

True, but they will put a barcode on it and occasionally scan it to generate a TOUCH just to drive you crazy.

HAHAHAHAHA.........I need a good laugh........VSC and my ex are neck and neck for who I loathe the most........and VSC is winning devil.gif

K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Case Filing and Progress ReportsContacting a congressman
QUOTE (Masha2008 @ Mar 2 2008, 05:12 AM) <{POST_SNAPBACK}>
helpsmilie.gif Here is a issue. I applied on 27th of July and now I still have no noa2. It has been over 7 months, and out of processing time. Now, I am soo pissed off. I contacted an immigration lawyer and he said do not hire a lawyer because it does not help anything. The best way is to contact a local congressman and ask him or her to contact USCIS immediately.
I can use a USCIS ombusman, but asking for help from congressmen will be more effective.
So I talked to my fiance and he said he will call up a congressman in Santa Ana asap and pressure USCIS. Ok, has anyone tried this? Does it really help?
USCIS actually answer the congressman's inquary? helpsmilie.gif helpsmilie.gif helpsmilie.gif

We aplied May 26th and after contacting both Senators and my Congressman they were able to get us a NOA2 on February 1......It does help you just have to find out which one of the three...(our Congressman was) will be the best at it.....open to you and not act like you are wasting there time.....(Senators for us).....but ask for and insist on time frames from them.......If nothing by tuesday I will call you to ask again....and so on......you have to be your own advocate here....also we fired our lawyer.....waste of time and money.....he can do nothing but push paper.....no help with USCIS or NVC....good luck

K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Case Filing and Progress ReportsWhen will the Processing Times be updated?
QUOTE (KitEEgirl @ Jan 18 2008, 01:10 PM) <{POST_SNAPBACK}>
I noticed on the USCIS' website that they are still showing, posted December 14, 2007. I also noticed that they "update that monthly" to show which application date they are working on.

I filed my I-129F for my German Fiance and received my NOA1 on January 9. We want to start planning our wedding. Is an August wedding too much to dream of?

It makes sense to keep your plans as flexible as possible. You may be one of the lucky ones and have your petition approved with light-speed, but if they want to they also can make you wait the full six month or even longer....seriously, nobody can tell. VSC claims to be processing the petitions by the received date, but that doesn't seem to be accurate at all.

Keep your plans as flexible as poss...! Good luck and a SUPERSPEEDY approval!!! good.gif

Listen, they have to give us our approvals or RFE's or whatever sooner or later....

Amusingly enough, I don't think that anyone at VSC thinks that.

Let's see......because this is not any fun.....You guys are the best but I can not even muster enough good thoughts about VSC to say hope anymore

O.k. I can see August but September and October....soon it will be december....or maybe preapprove February.......Ohhhhhhhhhhhhhhh.....What F#$&^....

I don't have a clue what's going on.....that unfair processing of petitions is ridiculous. But there's really nothing we can do.
Mitch contacted his congressman's office the other day and sent them a privacy notice, but they didn't get very far.
VSC told them that our petition might be approved maybe in early March. When Mitch called me to let me know what his congressman had found out, I almost had a nervous breakdown.
But hey, seriously.....I won't allow this whole process and VSC to make me go nuts or get sick or whatever. I want to stay strong, I'm looking forward to my new life in the US, it will happen sooner or later....and at the end of the day:
we don't know what all of this is good for.

Everything is easier if you can believe that everything happens for a reason....

Lindsay and I are discussing jobs in Canada now.

Listen, they have to give us our approvals or RFE's or whatever sooner or later....My guess is that there's a late July crate sitting somewhere and is anxiously waiting to be f.$%..g processed.
As far as I can see, most of the July petitions have been processed now, so our approval can't be far away...

That's what I keep telling myself, but it's hard. I have been all but offered 2 jobs without an interview in her hometown. One of them could push and get me into Canada by the end of February. This would be making probably $70k a year in CANADIAN dollars. I never thought that would be so important.

yeah,I see...but obviously it's gonna be easy for you guys to get your butt to Canada, if someday you decide that that's what you want. At least much easier than to get her a fiance or spouse visa for the US. So I'd definitely sit and wait now, it can't take much longer.
One day you guys might want to go back to the US and then you have to apply for a K3, and guess what? You'll be stuck in limbo...again!
That darn NOA2 can come any day now...

CONGRATULATIONS and good luck for the rest of the journey!! smile.gif

Seems slow for a military expedite. Those things tend to zip through pretty fast.

In any case, congratulations!!!

I think he mentions in his signature that he's with the US Army

Anyways....CONGRATS!
