I know it has been a long time but now i am back and very happy to read about all the good news. Virgil, Carlene and Lora finally have great news, i am so happy for you guys i was hoping to read this news. I just go internet yesterday and i had to come and check on my VJ-Family. As some of you know, i entered the US on march 3rd my POE was JFK and i had 1hour time to catch my connecting flight. When i got there i had to wait for about 15 min and then they took my fingerprint and the officer sent me to that office to get my work stamp for 90 days. I went in there and waited for 5 min and got my passport with the stamp back, then i picked up my baggage and went on the next flight, everything took me about 35 min. I was so happy that finally something went smooth and Mel came to pick us up with roses, he gave my daughter white ones and i had red ones very sweet of him. We had to get married earlier than planed because his job is sending him on a trip sometime next week, so we got married on march 14th. It was just us and my little girl but it was very nice, tomorrow we are going to pick up the pictures, i cant wait to see them. After the wedding we went to the SSN office to apply for the SSN number, we also had the marriage cert with us but they didnt want to put my new name on it. They said they will make it in my maiden name and i should come back later to get it changed. My daughter couldnt get a SSN because she doesnt have a work authorization. They told us to file the Forms either I-766 or I-688B but we couldnt get those forms from no where. We tried to make an infopass to go to local office but it is saying on their website that there is no appointment in order to get forms. Now i am confused, i dont know how to get my little girl a SSN. Maybe one of you guys knows what i have to do or what i can do. However its good to be back and i am very happy for all the approvals, medicals and interviews that are coming up. Zee, i am so sorry to hear about your case you have the best attitude someone can have in such a situation. God will see you through, you are great! Its funny how we watch the clock and wish time would move faster when we're waiting for our loved ones, then during the final week, we stress over having not enough time to finish everything! Oscar called and finally something went very smoothly....He got all 3 certificates TOdAY......God is looking down on us.......and he has an appointment on Monday for his medical......He is back on a bus for 14 hours going to Arequipa to pack up his life....cut off his utilities and spend a last weekend with his family and then fly to Lima on Monday morning.....have the medical exam and wait for me to finish my work and come to Lima for our April 1 interview....this is so surreal to me now......After all this time....all this anxiety......all the tears, anger, disappointment and loss of hope.....I am not sure I believe this is it.......What we have been working for for a year......is right now at hand....WOW.......It is an amazing feeling.......Thanks you guys for keeping me grounded and focus...........I thought this day would never come......AWESOME.....We are not nervous just excited	OsLoraTamm	Female	Peru	2008-03-19 21:33:00

Just finished talking to Oscar......He went to the embassy in Lima today and got the copies of the packet that never arrived......He said the people were very nice......He then went to get the required pictures......and apply for the certificates.....We are very close to not being able to have the Judical certificate on time with the holiday's coming up......He gets the medical exam date tomorrow.......He is such a baby......He is afraid of the injections....Poor baby ....Oh well we all must sacrifice you know................ but all is going O.K......I just hope and pray everything goes smoothly.......... Hi everyone....I spent most of my day sitting in my Congressman's office telling him my trail of tears since last May 26th.....I showed him my log of phone calls, emails and certified letters.....the timeline of mistakes with the rfe......mailing of 1/2 a petition and the horrific wait we have endured.....Explained to him the pain we have experienced and how much stress this has caused us.......the unfairness of this process and the uncaring ineptness of the USCIS and NVC.....He listened and promised to make some calls for us...apoligized to me....I felt better when I left.....About 1 hour ago I recieved this email... Thank you so much for coming to my office today to talk to me about your problems getting your voice heard and petition processed in a timely fair manner. I apoligize again for this terrible experience and hope to increase your confidence by telling you that your petition is now on it's way to Lima, Peru with my sincere hope in a quick visa issuance. Thanks so much everyone........I feel like I am in some really bad novel and I am the long suffering character who can not seem to get it right or get a break.......I wish ....I wish...I wish I could stop what I feel like is whining and just hope for , be patient for and understand this process in my head and my heart but everyday seem no closer then the day before after 276 days of waiting.......If they could just tell me when or why.they need to continue processing a case that has been processed for 9 months now.......It would help but they say nothing but indefinate administrative processing.....My Congressman said if by next thursday we have heard nothing he would try again....God Bless Congressman Wolf....he seems to at least give a care about us......No one else in the government seems to........Lora	OsLoraTamm	Female	Peru	2008-03-01 17:05:00
