Mitch called his congressman's office yesterday. The lady on the phone took our EAC number and names and said she would get back to us....

Colleen checked this morning and there weren't any touches since November 15th, which were due to a misspelling of my last name (the Danish ø should be oe and not just o).

Doesn't seem that a lot is going on at VSC....

Mitch called them on Thursday using the RFE trick and managed to speak to a living person. The officer said that our petition is quote "on the hold shelf".... blink.gif and hasn't even been assigned to an adjudicator yet,and that we shall call again by the end of January.

And the phone call didn't even cause a "touched".

The officer just made me sign the DS 156, took my finger prints and ask me to swear, not a single question about how Mel and i met or about my daughter. I was very suprised and i asked him weather he does not want to see the DS 230 part II and he said that they do not need it for the K-Visa blink.gif How ever i had a 2 minutes "interview" i spent 45 min at the consulat including security check, standing in line and everything. kicking.gif kicking.gif kicking.gif

I did have the senators office call me back and they were sending in an email to VSC on Friday asking about the
application...

USCIS sent a service inquiry in on Thursday...to VSC concerning the issues with our application....

I finally got a hold of Oscar..........We are sooooooooooooooooo happy....251 days from mailing the application........It is now I hope smooth sailing.........I know I have whined alot.....cried alot....complained alot over the last 8 months but you guys are the greatest......So now I am taking all of our pictures and organizing them and telling to story of our 2 1/2 years together...........I am thinking St. Patrick's day wedding for the Irish Girl from Virginia and the Peruvian man from Arequipa.........I can not wait for our real life to start.......Again thanks you guys.......Lora and Oscar

Well...I broke down and called the USC this morning....I did not go the RFE way I called and kept punching menus till I got the
one that stated "if you have a problem etc...." and I went that route..,

The lady I talked with was very kind and she was apologetic about the situation we were in and she
filled out a "service inquiry" while I was on the phone....and she sent it to Vermont and then she said....
"We have to say that you must wait 30 days for the response, but they normally send out a response sooner...15 days"...
and then I asked her what this inquiry would do...

She said that there is a special officer that handles inquiries and he was required to find (handle) the file, look at it and
send a response about the case to the person.

I did that yesterday also.....the lady was also very nice.....keep saying "oh my this has been a long time......I am sorry....but with the rfe I have to wait 30 more days".......Oh well at this point what can a person do......My real problem has always been the strain this has put on Os and I as a couple......I have been married before and know the strains of separations....my first husband was military......it can take an awful toll.......I just keep hoping for the best and believing in our love for each other

well I just got a call from the Congressman's office....she said "VSC knows it has really muffed up this case....that they really did not need the 325 it was a mistake"...........I now feel sick....... dead.gif ....now she is telling me that they will move it along faster.........so being the smart a** I am I said....what is there version of fast because I have had 8 months of there processing within there service time??? She said if I heard nothing by next Friday call her back............. mad.gif mad.gif mad.gif

who is to know if this is true or not but the officer at VSC said it was assigned today to an officer....which can mean another 30 days........Can I cry now????......maybe 9 months ....wow......sucks to be a May/June/July filer sometimes

I am with you....this is exasperating....I have contacted a Senator....allready tried a congressman and got no where...
they said they normally got a response in a week from the time of their inquiry....we will see...
I know it is not any consolation but at least yours has been handled once....we have not heard anything since the transfer in
October....



I know there are people far worse off then we are.....but after 8 months I am loosing my ability to even be human about this whole thing......It just sucks
I am typing this while I am on hold with the VSC.....probably useless but I have not contacted them since mid december.....thought I would check......10-15 minute wait now.......
