If stage 3 it could mean a matter of months. In any case look into doing a Living Trust with you as the Executor of the Trust. His life insurance moeny can be designated for the trust and it will financially protect you during the long probate period to execute his will. Checked the DHL website to see only 1 piece was sent and it was received and signed for this morning. Crazy how quickly things go from here. As we have all mentioned for those of you still waiting on your NOA2 starting getting the paperwork for the next step together now!!!! What a suprise to see form I-797 coming home from work and in the pouring rain....lol!!!! My petition was approved on 3/16/10. Just called Laddawan and woke her up and she was so excited!!!!!! Funny thing though I never received a text or email and I am signed up for both...oh well! I as happy as a kid in a candy store now guy...congrats to everyone again!!!!!!! K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Case Filing and Progress Reports	December K-1 2009 Filers VSC	Holy fock that was fast....maybe I should call NVC tomorrow I got ALL of our forms completed and just gonna have her sign once I'm there. Had them filled out for months now lol, just gonna date them with whenever she signs them (just 1 form DS-156 for Kiev, DS-156K needs to be signed in the presence of a CO I take it, since it says do not write below this line) There's no P3 or P4 for Kiev, so when I can schedule an interview - I'm on a plane asap and coming back with my future wife I would definately call. I called this morning and they received it yesterday and gave me my new case #. Luckly Mexico doesn't have a p4 and the P3 is just an open appointment letter, everything else is online. Mail is not very reliable so once I can call and confirm the letter has been mailed we can go to the consulate an get a copy of the letter which we need for the medical interview. Everyone has been a great support and I enjoy logging in everyday to read your posts. I wasn't expecting to be one of the first Dec. filers to be approved...I just wanted someone from the SS Rumrunner to be approved. You won't believe how much pressure is lifted when you receive your NOA2. I'm really looking forward when each of you are approved. I will be celebrating right along with you!!! This is our month and I hope & pray that all me mates are approved pronto. Thanks for your congrats Mark. And let me tell you, you are so right about the weight being lifted off your shoulders! K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Case Filing and Progress Reports	December K-1 2009 Filers VSC	As of today there are 22,889 Visas at the VSC..13,591 are pending meaning they did more than just send out a NOA-1 and 9,298 are just sitting in a box on a shelf somewhere.. This surely looks like they are back to the long wait times.. 6-9 months would be the timeframe I am expecting. I too wish I filed earlier...Now the K-1 times between NOA-1 and NOA-2 keep climbing and Jan.2010 is almost half over and only a few approvals that you can count on one hand...This sucks as I was not planning on waiting all year... Hi PanamaJack, Thanks for the previous response, appears you have alot of knowledge on this process. How can you see the number of Visas at the VSC? K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Case Filing and Progress Reports	July 2011 Filers	So Planning a trip to Tonga/Fiji is a logistical nightmare! We have our interview on January 9th at 9am, and even though my fiance is Tongan, there is no embassy in Tonga so he has to fly to Fiji. And, the only flight out is on Saturday, but it only goes to the Nandi airport, not Suva. So, we have to figure out how to get him to Suva. Plus, I am meeting him there so I had to strategically book plane tickets from VA to CA to Fiji to Tonga and then back to USA. And, we don't know when or if he will get the visa in hand so we can't plan our return trips very well. Just to be safe we will be staying in Fiji for 6 days at a sweet resort on the beach. Phew! I was looking at Igor's list and I clicked "back" because I was getting pissed at all the approvals for petitioners who filed after I did. I'm not mad at the filers, just don't understand why NO July approvals in almost a week, but August and a couple of SEPTEMBER approvals came through. Pretty good thing I am so far away from CSC.... Have you tried congressional inquiry?? Maybe it's time.
