QUOTE (Ganja_Girl @ Mar 13 2008, 11:36 AM) <{POST_SNAPBACK}>
No put down, just saying, choose your battles wisely. I think it is great to stand up for what is right, but, was this battle that really was about being right? She didn't really put down anybody personally, she just made a comment that no one try to answer her question. I know I don't have that answer, and understand that sometimes people do not always reply right away. But to make this an issue, really, is it that important. How can we stop wars in this world when we can't even get along with each other on a public forum? In the end, what is important, how about children dying of hungry, dying of war, sickness and disease? Now that is something we all should stand up for, or racism, those are the big battles, the ones we should never stand down on, but others are simply "small stuff." I know now, why there will never be peace in this world, because we will always sweat the small stuff while ignoring the big stuff. If only we put this energy into changing the world, we would be sitting sweetly. I know, I am nowhere near perfect, and make all kinds of mistakes, so who am I to stand in judgment of another human being, who is in pain and already having a hard time. Why kick someone, when they are already down an out? Give a person a break; we all have bad days, why make it even worst with a smart comment? I am way older than you, so I think a lot of these come with age and raising children, you just mellow out a lot. I use to say a lot of things about how to raise children, how to conduct your life, and then I had children, and omg, I saw things in a different light. I am very sensitive person and I do get my feelings hurt easily when someone says something nasty or mean. Knowing this I always try to be very careful on what I say to anyone, because I know how it would feels to be hurt. I am not the sharpest knife in the drawer so sometimes I don’t’ understand something and take things the wrong way. So when someone asks a question I try to help if I can, and if I can’t help than I just let them know I am here for support. I never wanted you to be hurt Jen; you are most likely a very highly intelligent person, who we can all learn a lot from. I sure know that I learn something, even if it is a little bit of enlightenment, by every person I have contact with. Just my two cents, and just what I feel is right in my heart. If I can make someone feel better after talking to me, than I have done good for the day. good.gif

it is me again. my other topics got deleted and i dont know why? when some american women write about somthing or man cheated on her all of you support her. but cause i am middle eastern man , they delete my topics

now i talked to the white trash (my soon to be ex wife) about this vedeo who her ex dog sent her and she said she nenver saw it before and she dont know it was there and then she said that her ex was drunk when he sent her the vedeo of his ####### mustbrating. she was talking to him on the phone 10 times a day and i asked her not to but she didnot and said that she need to talk to him .

i dont believe her and dont trust her too after i saw this vedeo and also her phone bills which she was calling him 10 times ( calling not miss call or try to call each time from 10-90 mins every day)
i have fire in my heart not cause i love her but cause i am hurt and want to revange from her and her dog . i think i wont desereve to call myself man if i didnot

but in same time i wonder she might be innocent and he was the one who wants to mess our marraige up?
but there were alot of signs like the phone calls and also he was coming to the house while i am at work
i really dont know and about to loose my mind . i didnot tell my familly back in my country any thing .i dont eat or sleep and cant work and really dont know what to do. just forget about it? or forgive her? but i ddont tink i can trust her again

The time u realized that u cant trust ur wife , It's tome for u to move on.

for that matter goes both ways.

Without the trust, There cant never be love.

Sorry abt ur situation.

I would like to find honest women that have been used by men for the green card and
tell their story so others in visa process can learn and maybe think about it twice before they let a total stranger
come into their life's and ruin it.
You don;t know a person unless you live with them for a while and see how they act.
Please don;t jump into something u don;t know.
It all turns out to be a fake sooner or later.
I have 3 friends who married arabic men and were married for years until they got their education , then they left
them without a word even tho they seemed to be happy.
They never heard of them again .
Don;t fool yourself , be careful and don;t get hurt in the end!

Life is unpredictable so marriage.
Nothing is 100% guaranteed and sure, only sure thing abt life is notthing is sure.
Will just have to learn to adjust on anythingand everything.

One thing I learned the hard way, was that the Visa Officers follow no set rules or laws. An Interview Officer's "decretion" is what the reality is of what the rule is now. Decretion means personal opinion, free to make any decision. The people in power of the Visa Process have "passed the buck" and left all dicisions to the Interview Officer. Congressmen or Senators have no say so of the process. Lawyers have no real effect of the process, Interview Officers are not required to follow any law. Maybe a class action will wake up someone, a little anyway.........

My question is : should I need to write an EOR for my hubby's interview in China, Guangzhou? We were married in China last year. Thanks for answering my question.

With the way Guangzhou operates, YES. I have read many stories about the EOR. They may ask they may not. It only takes a few minutes to make one out. I made mine brief and added a couple of small photos on to it.

FYI, people get married because they LOVE each other and want to be together despite the country where they live, and not because they chose first where it is good to live and then decide to get married! Maybe you got married just to get a green card, so it is clear then why it gives you no pain to wait so long and why you don't understand anyone here, but for most people the separation is hard and just those who love will understand what i mean, but obviously you are in a totally different boat!
If you think US government and all those immigration laws are correct and good, great then, i wish you to be approved as you say after more than 5 months at USCIS! We'll see how optimistic you will be at the very end of this process, probably in Dec 2011!

i get it. it's a painful experience to be away from your loved one while we wait for the process to run it's course...

but what i don't understand is why people act like it's a surprise. why the whole self-entitled rants? "i'm mr and miss U.S. Citizen and i demaaaaaand some service"!!!! i mean, the U.S. Govt. didn't MAKE you marry someone that isn't a U.S. Citizen. we all knew it was not going to be "i now pronounce you U.S. Citizen because you married one", right?

if people hate the system so much then why not pack all your sh*t and move to your foreign mate's country? ohhhh that's right... because as much as people b*tch about the States, it's probably a whole lot better than the mate's country.

the time frame given to us are estimates. NOT U.S. BACKED GUARANTEES. if they want to get you out of there as quickly as possible or let you rot for an eternity, guess what, that's the choice we made.

You say "don't understand", well you got that right. Wait until you have been working on this process for a couple of years, and then you may understand how people having problems. feel about this process.

Go ahead and say it! They are treated like cattle. I think my husband and I are being treated like cockroaches. And the sad part is, I kind of have the feeling we are a much higher caliber than the interviewer. When I wrote to her I said. "I think you are misplacing who the fraudulent people are. I'm sorry, but I know who my husband is. I know who I am. What about you"

I think that you had the bad luck of having a "butthead" for an Interview Officer like many of us are unfortunate to have had. You and your husband will have a great life together, no matter where it is. You can be with your husband and refile. I am retired, so I could pack up and be with my wife and wait on this process for however long it takes, but I would not survive the poor air quality where my wife lives. Best of luck to you....

One thing I've done is ask Akhlaq what were some of his fave Pakistani foods then made myself a list and looked online for recipes and I'm practicing on making those yummy meals. Can you cook some good Moroccan dishes? Anything like this would be good idea, I thought, when they are feeling lil homesick sometimes. besides being excited about trying new things something familiar would bring some 'comfort'. I would call the service center handling your packet and ask for your packet be expedited by to military service requirements. Or have your Husband contact his congressman to help a serviceman expedite the approval process. I don't think anyone in VJ would be bothered if your application was expedited due to your husband's service to our country

IR-1 / CR-1 Spouse Visa Process & Procedures2010 TAX ? whats the best way ? Extend or Single or Married
Maybe I'm reading this wrong....But when did you get Married? If you didn't get married in 2010, than you are filing Single. If you did get married in 2010, file Married (Joint return) and file for an extension now. It's much easier to file extension and then file the regular tax return than to file a 1040x. A regular 1040 takes about two weeks to process. A 1040x can take up to 3 months and you have more paperwork to submit. Its like redoing your taxes again. I just did a 1040x last year for a mistake that I saw HR Block had in their software which resulted in a much bigger return for me.

Middle East and North AfricaUS Medical Examination Instructions - Idiotic Nurse
As I arrived at the hospital, the first question I was asked was "are you a virgin or married?" from such a stupid and ignorant nurse who asked me in front of everyone was around at this moment both men and women. I felt so embarrassed to answer such a question and because I was shocked I couldn't give the answer she deserved. I basically replied by asking her why the hell would she ask me such a question. She replied "because if you're pregnant then you can't go for a chest x-ray.

When I went to the x-ray room, the doctor asked me the same question but this time was in private which I have appreciated then I complained about the nurse's inappropriate question asked in public. He promised that he will take care of this by speaking with all the nurses who work for the US medical examination section.

Just to be warned, the nurse's name is Amal Atteya Abd El Azim at El Shrouk Hospital in Mohandiseen, first floor - US Medical Examination Section.

They said a week before the interview, but I doubt it. Just get your examinations done and mail it with the required documents.

Do you know how far in advance they let you do this? Since scheduling the interview takes so long I"m wondering when the exam actually expires.

Jo and ReMaleEgypt2007-04-30 10:14:00
Middle East and North AfricaThe US Medical Examination Instructions - Mandatory
A medical examination is mandatory for both Refugees and Immigrants who are willing to go to the U.S. All members of your family who intend to apply for their immigrant visas at this time must have a medical examination for blood tests for AIDS and venereal diseases in addition to chest X-ray. This includes all children, regardless of age.

You should arrange to undergo your medical examination at the hospitals indicated below. Medical examinations conducted at other hospitals will not be accepted. You must go to one of the hospitals indicated below. Also, you have to go the hospital to have your examination earlier than your visa interview appointment date. Each person who is examined must bring four photographs of himself, your passport and a copy of it to give to the examining physician. Also, if you had any vaccinations been taken lately then I would advise you to bring the vaccination certificates with you to them at the hospital or you will get vaccinated again. They may ask for your case number that was sent to you by the US embassy in their letter to you. Take that with you just in case.

After your receive the medical examination results within a week, do NOT open the sealed envelope which is to be opened ONLY by the Consulate staff at the time of interview.

** Children under 14 years of age do not need to present a chest X-ray unless the examining physician decides that it is necessary.

Middle East and North AfricaContradictory Requests At US Consulate in Cairo
I just got off the phone with the US Consulate in Cairo after I had to call for a few question about what exactly I am supposed to mail back to them after receiving package3. I just wanted to know and make sure if I am suppose to mail the following:

1. My passport OR a copy of it (because, among the required documents they asked for, they said I should mail my passport NOT a copy of it)
2. A copy of my birth certificate (without specifying either an Arabic or an English certificate)
3. Police certificate (the same mentioned above about the birth certificate).

To my surprise, they said I don't have to translate either my birth certificate nor the police certificate. Grrrrrrr! I was like "but guys, I called as soon as I receive package3 and you asked for translated certificates". They said "no, you should mail a copy of my Arabic certificate, copy of my passport and the original copy of my police certificate) which I didn't have to translate any of that.

I am amazed at how people can be just with so much lack of attention and responsibility of how they are supposed to do their job right to guide others to the right away.

My recommendation is to send the originals and KEEP xerox copies for yourselves.

Good luck,

R.

My Fiance noticed in the Packet she received from the embassy that it had (2) DS-156 forms but not the DS-156K form. She took pictures of all these forms so she was able to send me what all was included in the packet.

I also received the letter stating the 10 day notification for an interview appointment and then the part of the packet talking about the 6 weeks for a interview from part of the package.

You can download the DS-156K form from this site and send it to her, or send her the link and she can print it out.
