But anywhoo....anyone been waiting more than eight weeks? What steps did you take to get scheduled? Allah be praised if we're scheduled this week, we've been waiting so looong.

based on embassy capacity blah blah blah n that they schedule 2nd week of each month.

well , hope both us will get the interview date for next month this week.

I think it depends on the embassy consulate..they said they know if you will be scheduled every 2nd week of the month so we should go ahead and call next week..they told me call on feb16 for sure to know if you are scheduled for the interview..The lady told me it depends on the volume of the interview of the embassy consulate.. I am sorry you have been waiting that long... I hope and I pray that my husband will get the interview by march,.I have been having such a hard time that I need my husband by my side now, I have been having family trouble here..that is why I always pray that in a hurry he will be here so we can move out right away,.I am still living with my parents,.brothers n sister,.grandma,..sister in law,. aunt and uncle,..and instead of helping me through this hard times,.they even make it difficult for me.. That is why I always believe in the saying,.no one really understands you and no one will be compassionate with you but your better half..

You do not have to wait for the letter to arrive to call to find out when is the interview. Just make sure that you have your NVC case number when u call. However, u will have to wait for the letter of interview to arrive to set up appointment for medical and to enter the embassy for your interview. Hence, once u receive, and hubby not yet receive his, you scan your copy and email it to him. So that he can have the copy for his reference and to use for the interview/medical checkup. In the letter says whats your case number, when is the interview, checklist of the docs needed/already sent and accepted and such, notices and info on vaccines. At least, these are what I had on mine. Altho, we did not file DCF way. Is there a difference?

CENOMAR (certificate of No Marriage) is something that your husband and wife get before you marry at civil wedding..most likely those who married at church don't know about this. me and my husband married at a City Hall in Baguio City and we needed to get a CENOMAR before we could marry.

Now, what we all need to get is a Marriage Index.. I know we wont really be needing this but I learned it is necessary.. Good luck to all.

I RECEIVED OUR interview letter today... Did u check your e-mail?some people said they receive their interview letter through mail.. I am sure it will b there tomorrow.. if still worried an u would like to have ur medical sooner, ask ur consulate if you could use the NOA2-APPROVAL NOTICE..to be used at the medical... hi,.. i got the same situation before, they told me to resend the whole I-864 again..and I did,..
what i did is, I put stickies on every page saying that this letter is to verify that I was not required to send INCOME TAX RETURN For the year...
and make sure you make an outline on the beginning of the page, they like it organized..
ours was sent back because we miscalculated on the whole average household income..make sure those are right..
with those proof, along with it make sure u send a copy of his student-any records,.. his co-sponsor (dad's) naturalization certificate/or passport copy..
I hope you get the next documents ready that the nvc will ask,,. after the I-864 they will ask to send your
BIRTH CERTIFICATE, POLICE CLEARANCE, MARRIAGE CONTRACT, 3 2X2 Pics,...we didn't know this is the next step that is why our case took long.. better to b earlier.. smile.gif

(X) You have not enclosed an explanation of why you were not required to file income taxes under Federal tax laws for any/all of the 3 most recents years (sorry but yes i did....two different proofs!)

- I sent in W-2 from a part time job showing he made like $50 (b/c he started December 30th! lol) then I sent in TWO pdf proofs from Irs.gov web site proving that he made under a certain amount and did NOT have to file, also proving that he was a student and did NOT have to file.
- I sent in all of his school info proving he was attending school in 2007.

When we called an operator we just wanted to clarify that this info needed was for my husband, and it was, the guy was rude and said "For the petitioner maam!" Sorry but the document isn't that clear blink.gif

I really don't know where to go from here! Just called AVR and it says "they need MORE FINANCIAL EVIDENCE!!!!!!!!!"

Please help if you've been in this situation or may have additional info I could send in..... mad.gif

please no need for conflict...this is a CR!/IR1 visa discussion...although thank you for the K-1 filers who gave some ideas..it is very much different for us because first of all it is fiance / married visa..

Lets make this clear the question is from an NVC filer,CR1/IR1 filer, and not DCF(meaning not Direct Consulate) this means that the person who asked the question will receive her appointment letter through NVC..

it takes longer for the CR1/IR1 filers to file because once the beneficiary gets to the U.S they are already a green card holder... nothing is much worst than waiting for your married half..please apologize..honestly, k-1 filers have a fast phase in this journey although unfair but makes sense though you have the right to get to know the person you will marry..It is very difficult for the CR1/IR1 filers because once our case is complete we are not given a number right away to call to schedule an interview with the USEM unlike the K-1 and most K-1 filers see their fiance even after 3-6months.. Believe me I know, my brother filed K-1 for his wife now,she has been here for 9months and me who filed at the same time Still waiting for my husband to get here.. CR1/IR1 is a very serious case and sacred for it being married already.. There are lots of big differences but.... All has to go through USEM interview..
Please lets be civilized..act like educated individuals..I am sure we are all helping each other..Good luck to everyone in this journey..

Yes, it has been 3 years since I have seen her in person, the hows and whys really being none of your business. But I remember everything about my wife's face and the rest of her too. I spent 8 months with her. So I know her very well.

If you file through DCF through USEM direct consulate then you will receive it from them but if you filed through NVC you will receive it from them..since the questioner filed through NVC she will receive it from the NVC.

NVC will send a letter to petitioner to let him know that within a week the petition will be forwarded to the appropriate visa-issuing post where benifeciary visa's interview will take place, its also stated there that benificiary will soon receive a packet with indsturction from the consular section on how to apply for the k1 visa and what documents will be required. Its the USEM who has the power to send appointment letter and not the NVC. When my fiance called USEM to set my interview date, he was given three available dates, and he chose March 2, after an hour I received a notification email from USEM stating about my interview date...pls be consistent of your post bcoz we are here to help others and not to make them more confuse. This interview letter will serve as your pass to take ur medical exam and interview pass.
YOU CAN ASK UR HUSBAND TO SCAN IT and send it to you through e-mail so u can print it and have it present for your MEDICAL and INTERVIEW. you don't have to wait for ur copy tru snailmail..
