I should just wait a little longer? There are people from Jamaica that had case complete in June and still do not have interviews. Case complete does not hold the same hope for me as it does people from countries with a fast interview date. and nimche, werent you the one that mentioned she was that kind of supervisor anyway?

I didnt call asking for an expedite. I called asking about my RFE and they sent me to her. I didnt even know she was for expedites. But now that she is given so much attention over this debate I guess it defeats the purpose of telling me not to mention a name. After I talked to her we talked about an expedite..but taht is not why I called her.
My senator- his advice was file the 129F and they would "mail it to me" 3 days later I received a large envelope with 4 pages of directions..no forms. Not to mention that i know where to get the forms from and I didnt need them. this is just one of the lovely interactions I have had with him. Joyful.
So- sorry for the name drop, but I didnt associate her with the expedite until someone else already did.

Actually, supervisor Sue is the one who handles most of the expedite cases and they say send your email inquiry to her attention. She helps, at least did in my case.

Its more like the IIN problem. You should just keep asking them. I remember I asked 3 times and I couldn't talk to a supervisor. And somthing I am not sure that whether or not the supervisor is from the calling company or NVC.

I called the NVC last night and they pulled up my case and we couldnt understand why I had RFE on any of them except maybe one question (they said 4 questions were incomplete) One was question 13..which was his present address one was his institutions..which were not incorrect...so I dont know.... So they were going to get a supervisor to pull my file and it would take "10-15 business days"
whatever!
I just did the form again and corrected a couple of things. Hope that works!

when I call the AVR still says " the immigrant visa fee bill was generated on September 9"

You should have originals to everything you send in for the interview. I believe if you look around here on the site ther is a list. Letters, phone records cards copies of plane tickets ect. ect ect. Anything you have that can you can take take show everything about your relationship

I felt the wind come out of my sails on the RFE, too. I think it is the helplessness wondering if I really understood what the heck they wanted that did it. We all studied so hard so we could avoid RFEs and yet so many of us got them that it ought to tell us all something both about the process and about how common RFEs are. IOW, don't beat yourself up. The system isn't perfect and they want to be sure they understand the actual situation and they're not shy about asking for more info or something different. I think it helps to interpret what they say to us on the phone as best as we can and then to provide as much explanation as possible to cover all contingencies.

What I do like is how quickly they resolve simple misunderstandings. They completed our case the day they got the RFE response.

And I'm glad I called even if it didn't give me a firm understanding of the problem they had. It gave me *some* understanding.

Our August group is so close to being done with the horrific part of the journey. I'll miss you guys when we settle into our lives with our spouses.

Just remember to name your children after Ling Ling. I'm changing my Jessica's name to Ling on Monday. She's 13 and still has time to get used to the idea. We may change Colin's name to Ling Ling, too.

I know, Jamaica is still taking like 6 months to get an interview but im prayin it will clear up soon!!

And no I don't have an interview yet, but of course I knew this already. And I really wish I hadn't called, because as anticipated I've now slipped back into that obsessive state where I can't think of anything else and feel nauseous all the time. I hate the waiting. The NVC stage was good, because it moved as fast as you did and you always had updates available, unlike USCIS where you submit your petition then fall into a black hole until you're either approved, denied, or RFE'd. But now its another heavy helping of just waiting and not being able to do anything to control the outcome.

I'm not particularly good at that whole "accept the things I cannot change" thing... lol

Hey guys!

W got thru!
the interview was really really really easy!
We were there for hours only to be called up , the male interviewer looked at my passport immediately asked me to pick up the phone and then asked me "when did you meet, how many times did you visit, do you have kids together" hubby answered the last one out loud and then the interviewer laughed, told me to put down the phone since he could hear anyway and then said "thanks for coming to the interview maam, that makes things a lot easier. congratulations"

I am SERIOUS when I say they did not ask hubby even ONE question!!!

so...we just checked the DHL site and it says:

what does that mean shipment on hold??

Hello All just found out about my interveiw from NVC operator March 9, 2009 7:30am, called mobay hope for medical its a bit close to get medical done in time, case was shipped to kingston february 13, 2009, problem is mail takes forever in jamaica, i cant go to the medical withouth the info from NVC, hopefully my husband get his soon so he can fax it to me, sorry i dont have a timelime (cant remember all the dates ) short info, married august 20, 2005, hubby got naturalized after we got married, case complete december 5th. i am sooooo nervous i am shaking like a leaf

With such short time to the interview it would probably be in your benefit to try to go to Andrews Memorial in Kingston.
M's interview was on a Wednesday and he could pick up the results the following Tuesday.

I am freaking out Interveiw!!!!!! What about the medical info ect, i havnt received anything I am the beneficiary living in Jamaica, My husband (USC) didnt get anything either, I started taking my shots at the local clinic my next appointment for follow up shots was next month i move up the date this morning hopefully for this wednesday they only give you shots on selected days, just called NVC cant speak to a live operator (holiday) will let you know what happens

hey shrewd, it was forwarded on february 13th that was friday

you should fill out your timeline
that might help us guess if thats what it is
