we are waiting for our VISA and in JA it is delivered thru DHL
we are tracking it online ....
so..online our DHL status says :

"Awaiting collection by recipient as requested"

does that mean we can pick it up????????

The certified copies must be certified by the issuing authority. For example, my marriage certificate was issued by the Registry of Marriages here so I had to go back to them for a certified copy. A copy certified by someone other than the issuing authority (a notary public or similar officer) is not adequate.

my SO birthcertificate only has his monther's name on it. It is the original one. Is this going to be a problem??

I don't think anybody even implied she lied about the call but she did fail to deliver any actual information, as promised. There was a perfect opportunity to ask the questions the folks with cases at VSC had on their minds, and we still don't know if those questions were asked and if they were, what answers were given. Other than "We talked a long time about a lot of things and I feel better now." there simply was no actual information about what's going on at VSC contained in any "report" of the 50 minute call.

I simply wish people say they are going to do something, actually do it. The call happene but we got no information about it, not even how she managed to get through to an "officer".

We got more information from the single sentence posted a couple days later by another, indicating both I-130 and I-129F approval notices were emailed. We still have no information about why not a single member's I-129F for spouse got approved at VSC for several months, but we now know one was this week. We don't know if it was an accident/mistake by a new adjudicator or a change in policy we'll see more of going forward.

I don't understand why this question wasn't asked, or if asked, why the answer wasn't provided here.

she was OFFERING help and volunteering what she knew. she didnt owe any of us anything. She simply wanted all of us to feel the hope that it made her feel - so if you thought it was all "fluff" with no real "report" then you didnt have to post a response to her. I for one am thankful that she found hope, did her information give me hope-no...but I am glad it gave her hope and I am more than glad that she wanted us to feel that SAME hope. I dont understand why you are so offended..

It doesnt matter at this point, I doubt she will be here before 2009 anyway so im not going to try to rush things. VSC is setting a pace of atleast 10 months for the I 130 as it is now, so they are really 10-12 months just for the I 130. If i get approved in November which is 1 year from when I filed there is no way to have everything done before 2009, i will be lucky to be done with NVC in Jan of 2009.

We will NOT be waiting that long. I speak it now. We WILL NOT.

I attended and they took one look at my passport, asked me 4 questions and NONE to hubby and said "thank you maam for coming to the interview, that makes it easier on us and easier for you, congratulations"

I need help!
I have lots of pictures and I have gone to visit my husband about 10 times since we were married, two of those times spending 2 months there each. SO- with that being said...what other evidence can I use?
We have like hotel receipts in our names..we have rent receipts in our names
BUT we dont have phone records (I called from a calling card usually) or many letters (because the JA mail system is horrible!).
We have a few letters he wrote me and a couple of cards and I think like ONE email
