Congrats and please be sure to fill us in on the interview and POE good.gif

For sure I will 000.
Thank you and fortunately with new online payment system you're case at NVC will processed really fast, you'll see! good.gif

After USCIS I know it will only be a 2-3 month wait, but im so worried that they will not approve me until I am at 10 -14 months. I dotn want to move from my country, my house, have to leave my job, but at the same time Im not going to ruin a marriage to the 1 person in my life that I can say I love only because USCIS does not care about families.

I know exactly what you feel so does my husband who almost quit everyting in the US and move to Brazil so that we could be together, but I believe that you're about to receive your NOA2 since you've been waiting it for almost 4 months now, mine took 91 days to be approved, so I believe you're closed and this over time will be compensated at NVC now with their new online payment you'll be saving a few months there. I would say 3 months at NVC for cases to be completed now. Hang in there! Good Luck! good.gif

um. no...we are all WAY past 4 months.... no hope

If they wait long enough, at least we can take legal action to have them adjudicate. It is this point in between where we are powerless that is no fun at all.

thats what i thought MsZ.
I leave to see my husband in 3 weeks and I will be there 6 weeks. On july 17, 2008 I reach 6 months from NOA-1 date. Before I leave, I am writing a letter to my senator for my family to Mail on July 16, 2008 incase I have not gotten an approval at that point.

What can they actually do? I know my congressman has called before but said they couldnt really do anything till 6 months past NOA-1.
but what can they actually do at that point..do you know?

Because you look around and like HOHOHO has been waiting like a year....and its a big fat mess? do we have ANY hope??

Well guys,

Today makes day 200 for me since i filed. Isnt that sad?
I am so sorry for those of us still waiting.
Pecky, 000, Mrs. Z and everyone else.
I keep thinking our time is soon..and then another week goes by and I realize this is too controlling.
I am hurting for all of us guys.
and lets not forget Delicia at CSC.

I just have this huge fear that I am going to turn into one of those cases that everyone else gets approved and I am still here a year later...... sad.gif

This is extremely crazy!! I don't understand why the F**K they are so screwed up!! These people have too much influences over our lives and their lack of care is impacting all of us. They are focusing resources in the wrong area with K-1, H1 and Naturalization. If they want votes, they should do everything to please all of us who are US Citizens. They'd have more long-term voters who are already established!! I'd gladly cast my vote in exchange of having my family together.

We can only hope the transfer to CSC will be a smooth transition and that it will not put us back at the bottom of the list. The process is already inconsistent and I am fearful this will adversely impact us. I sure hope it will not be the case.

I'm in complete agreement with you Chet .... I cannot understand ... VSC was superfast last year, and now they are totally screwing this all up.
We know there is no backlog as the majority of those who filed July - November are clear ... there's only a couple of straglers, so what's the bloody issue ???

Not only are they annoying all the current voting USC's on here, but they're also not doing themselves any favors with the future ones either.

One thing I will say in the defense of whoever it was who initiated doing this, is, someone obviously saw a massive problem and decided to attempt to fix it .... but why didn't they just send the other files instead ??? Why the I-130's ???

I think there are more than a few stragglers...expecially in November. there are many that have not been approved.
Its all one big nasty mess.

I sent a request for help to Senator Warner's office a couple of weeks ago (using the generic form on his website). I got a nice note back from Ms. Kennedy, his immigration staff assistant. She basically said sorry, but until the date on the USCIS website passes my date (which she was reading as the date of the NOA1---I didn't have the mental energy to start that debate!), the congressional offices can't do anything. All the same, if they start to get a blizzard of complaints about the same issue, perhaps that will at least bring the problem to their attention. After all, I don't think any of us wants a special favor from the congressionals, just that they advocate on all of our behalfs. In other words, I don't need them to ask why I'm not approved yet, . . . I'd rather have them ask, "Why the hell is your pathetic service center still at July 30th and what the hell are you going to do about it?" I plan on writing her back when the new dates come out for May 15th (which I don't expect will have changed).

that is what congressman bouchers office told me too...
I will write them when the dates come out too.

I really hope they move the processing date this month, if they move it past Nov. 19th I plan on driving to Eric Cantors office to drop off my NOA1, even though VSC has said to my congressman that they see I filed in Nov. my congressman wont do anything until they change the processing dates to past Nov. 19th. Promised me after they change the date he will do all he can. I trust him, when my grandfather had to leave my house because I couldnt care for him anymore ( Alzheimer’s ) I needed to put him into a home that could care for him. My grandfather was entitled to get help from the V.A. Hospital because he fought in WW2, the VA hospital and medical services did not see it that way, Congressman Cantor really did a wonderful job, those people went from , "Im sorry we wont help you" to "Im sorry, how can we help you". I really think that VSC will post that July 30th until 2009 though, just to make sure they have everyone they screwed up with all the mailing from service center to lockbox to service center.

I totally agree. I dont think they will change ANYTHING on that website until they are well covered. MY congressman did tell me that once I reach 6 months past NOA1 then they can do something..
for me thats july 17. almost nine months from filing.

We're planning to get married again whe I arrive in the US ..... that way, we'll be able to spend a first year of marriage together.
Planning a wedding as you know takes time, and planning it this time is actually just as exciting as the last, if not more.
Just don't worry about the date right now .... but it's good to check out venues and prices and all that goes with it.

I've also been preparing to get pregnant too, so I've already started on my pre-natal vitamns and looking at what I can do to get fitter for it .... all in time to start trying when Kip and I are allowed to be together.
I should be in tip top condition by the time our approval rolls round in 2025 laughing.gif

When I'm not doing that, I'm putting together all the stuff required for NVC so it's perfect.

Gathering all the documentation for your Husband for his interview is a great idea by the way .... us girls are good at that stuff, and it will really help him.

I do need to work on getting fit... why didnt I ever really put my energy into this? well, I can now!!

we want to have a little vow renewal when he gets home (just us, the pastor) and then have a huge reception...and I kinda have started thinking about that but it just drove me into madness...so Id better stay away from that. hahahah

Shrewdgal, I know that feeling.. Its like life is put on pause while waiting to be reunited with the one you are meant to be with.
Im studying to graduate in February, so Im just hoping everything will be done by then, and while learning and make sure I have a degree (that will make our life so much easier in the future) my studies is also my time killer. When I finally get off its late and my husband and I are talkin on instant messenger and skype. He has been amazing with sending emails all day every day and we instant message on the phone etc. so its like we are together because we talk non stop but still yet its not the same, and once we are reunited I think I will boycut the laptop for a while haha.
I miss his company and all the little every day things that people who are living together might take for granted.
Im trying to enjoy the remaining time I have left here in Europe with seeing my family friends on a day to day basis, because as soon as the petition is approved and NVC (hopefully) hurry up whistling.gif we move I wont be able to do that anymore and Im sure that will be tough. I know youre not in a situation where youre the one moving but still... smile.gif I feel your pain.
The amount of stress we are undergoing while being separated from our spouses is incomparable . I love sleeping cos he is always with me in my dreams wub.gif - its just real depressing waking up the next morning and realize Im facing yet another day without him.. crying.gif .

isnt it?
that is the hardest part for me. strange.
we all have great lives..its just you are right..its almost as though time is on pause. BOO smile.gif

Yep! That's what kept me from pulling out all my EYELASHES....besides other things. It's funny I hadn't checked it for almost 3 weeks (though tempted) and that Thursday I checked saw that it was touched then I got the approval e-mail a few hours later.

I have heard you say, Shredie, that you sometimes check 5 or 6 times a day. Not only is that not doing a darn thing in moving the visa along, it's driving you crazy.

You really do need to focus on something else.

no. I check VISAJourney that many times a day.
I never check online because I figure i will just get an email..
I DO however check my email that many times a day b/c its m work email...like a silly person I sent it there so I could see it...but instead everytime I sign into my email every morning when I come into work.... that is when I am reminded.
i dont want you to think i am a loser that has no life and is pathetic... I am a teacher so I have a very demanding career. I am involved in my church which takes a lot of time..and I am leading a mission group to Jamaica... so I stay busy..it isnt that I am not busy..
it is that I have been waiting 7 months to hear even one word.
I have a great life..but when I made those vows...my soul was joined with another..and I wont feel complete until reunited..
I know that noone can give me a "tip" that will help me be "unsad" but I just did that so we could have some type of positive thoughts abotu things we enjoy because I know me, pecky, ms.Z, isma, 000, delicia....we just all want to cry...

I lost 30 pounds from stressing over this and it does not look good, I still have to force myself to eat though. I just dont get hungry. I really would like it if that the people at USCIS could see and understand the stress that they create on the people that are waiting. It would be nice if they would have a heart and understand that the frustrations that some people might have because they didnt get their citizenship in time to vote or the companies have to wait a few more months to bring over that new employee are nothing compared to the heartache we all have to live with day by day for an unknown amount of time.

yes. he was. I dont know what i was thinking.

and yes. you are completely right.
I am waiting on July 17. If I reach that date without anything all Hell will break loose and I will be contacting EVERYONE.

If you read the ombudsman's report you'll see that USCIS responds in a way that is deliberately evasive. There's something very rotten in that organization. They behave like guilty parties, obfuscating truth. Double-talk, lies, nonsense.

Nice use of the word obfuscating, I mean come on, be honest, how many times do you get to use that word wink.gif and it fits so well for them.

I know another word that fits them well,

A-HOLES

HAHAHAHAHAHAHA. that made me weak. that is the most i have laughed about ANYTHING in this process since I started it.

Big News...

I went to an appointment with the local USCIS office this morning, and I was informed Vermont is working on stuFF from July 20th.

stop the presses.

waste of time

Got frisked an read a riot act for 15 minutes from Barney Fife Jr. just to get in the dump.

Waste of gas money.

HOHO.........did you ask why this happened....b/c CSC is approving jan filers too

They said, well the web site says.....

completely no information at all.

It's a complete closed, unaccountable, piece of ####### organization.

And rude.

At least the rep DID back up my feeling that the dope on the phone from USCIS who recommended I file for K3 was WRONG. She said she wouldn't recommend doing that at all at this point.

I tried to get her to give me some kind of timeline... 5 years? 10 years? never? she wouldn't budge... no idea she said.

Its a conspiracy. They are all hiding some big secret. A royal screw up. Although i do feel better that a sept. filer was FINALLY approved... it seems like maybe they might be starting to backtrack and hit all of us that they missed.

Isn't there anything we could do to get better information? What if we send a petition to Chair of Immigration Committe in congress to investigate USCIS process.

Lets get the petition started. It doesnt take much. But we need not just 2-3 people we need EVERYONE who is filing on VJ for I-130 @ Vermont!

I'm in too

Im at like 192 or something. so sad.
This is beyond rediculous. Something has gone on there and they are trying to fix it I am assuming... maybe they all got flooded out and they really destroyed our files... OR...they cant find them...
I mean....all us Sept-Nov. filers are the ones that sent to VSC and then from VSC we were shipped to the lockbox....
everyone after us shipped directly to the lockbox...and NOW WE ARE the ones they arent processing.......very questionable....

Delicia suggested and I agree that they are not going by NOA1 dates. They are taking a random approach. WIWO is their motto -- "whenever in, whenever out".

That a CR1 gets done here and there doesn't mean that K3s aren't getting priority.

yeah. agree with delicia too about the NOA1. I mean it shows SOME kind of pattern..but not enough of a solid one to believe that is the way they are approving them

I wonder what the latest you can file a 129F and reap the benefits of seeing your I-130 approved quicker.

If I had to do it all again, I would have gone K-3 and said that he doesn't need to work for 3 months or whatever.

I was thinking that too, most of the approvals have had a K3 attached to it, but Vermont still treats it as an I 130 and makes the K3 null.

sad.gif true. I didnt think abuot that pattern...BUT maybe its just b/c more people do K3 and not as many do ONLY CR-1...????

Im going to Brazil on June 11th, its only for 1 week though, crying.gif but if things dont go any faster she will insist I move there, she refuses to wait 1 year or a year and a 1/2 to start our life together. I cant blame her at all, I dont want to have to wait so long either, I like it here and I really dont want to live there but if it keeps my marriage together then I will. No one wants to spend years apart from their family and I am sorry for those on this forum that have had to. The worst thing is I cant say well if we wait a bit longer you will have your interview and you will be here, the only thing I can say to her is what USCIS tells me, which pretty much means sometime in early 2009 Jan or Feb she will have her interview. When we first started this we were under the impression that it would be about 6-9 months now its turning into 9-18 months. I feel as if i lied to her, made her think things that were not true, maybe she even thinks that way. Her whole family thinks that I dont want her here because they always tell her that things shouldnt take this long , so and so did it an it only took them 6 months. Heck one of her cousins filed their application in Oct and they already had their interview date at the start of April but changed it because they had to wait for something or other. Its just so frustrating that Aug-Nov filers are the ones that have to go through this hell.

hahah the 6 months story happens in Jamamica too. It burns me up!

Think about this..... If we get approved by May 30... then in about 2 months (with online payment) we are finished with NVC...THEN about 2 months later (it has been for JA anyway)...an interview...
we could STILL get interviews in Sept sad.gif
I am praying for September for my husband to be home. God has moved bigger mountains than this...
It kills me..but it is too heavy a burden for me to carry.

I try to think positive but if they are indeed going by filing date then according to their processing times they will not have to process our applications until Oct or Nov of this year, there is no more 6 months, USCIS states that their estimated time for applications is 9-10 months for form I 130. And im sorry if I am a bit unhappy that I will processed at the same time as people that sent their applications 3 months after me but I just dont see how it is fair. Shrewd is at 7 months almost and all those people before her are at 8 or 9 while people who filed 3-4 months later will have a wait time of 4-5 months. Its great for all of you who most likely will not have to wait as the rest of us have but its just wrong that the system is working like this.

yeah eric..its totally unfair..and still yet it can take a long (longer) time..but HOPEFULLY..... it wont
sad.gif
when do you get to see her again?
what makes me mad is that there is no accountability system that vermont even has to change their processing dates. ya know? waht the ####### if we stayed at the same spot for 3 months in ANYTHING we would get fired....

Oh yea and another question is should I fill every space on the I-864 with n/a if it doesnt apply.

Specifically, his address in pakistan doesnt have a zip code, should i put n/a?

He doesnt have a social and alien number, should i put n/a even though it says (if any)?

No middle name, should i put n/a?

Question 13 say mailing address if different from above, if it same, i can leave this blank right?

I might be over analyzing all of this but if I really dont want to get an rfe and i know most of you guys have already done this and have case completes, so your suggestions on how you did things will really help me and all of us out.

Thanks all!

I knew it will be today for you to have it PAID.
I put everything that is not applicable N/A (I usually fill out immigration forms with all capital letters)
Middle name=N/A
Zip Code=N/A
anything

Make sure it make sense. You can make it nice and totally understanable.

+

I really don't recommand anyone to use I-864EZ as becomes more complicated for the officer,

what do you mean you dont reccommend anyone to use the EZ? how does it make it more complicated? It has more simple circumstances

I don't recommand but I am no one. You can simply use it if you like. I found it disturbing to use it. No particular reason...

haha you are definately not noone..... anyone that goes thru this is practically an expert smile.gif
I just wondered. I already did the EZ and sent it off so thats why i wondered smile.gif

Shpat, you need to be more specific.
