October / November I-130 2007 Filers

I am confused by your statements. I do not have an October date on my NOA-1, anywhere. I have January 24, 2008 listed as my receipt date and the date the NOA-1 was issued was February 13, 2008. I know we all get conflicting and/or contradictory information when we call USCIS to get status updates, but here was my call to CSC this morning:

All he said is he would pull the file and determine if it was it's turn to be adjudicated.

I'm not going to hold my breath that this call will accomplish anything, but it is a last ditch effort to get things moving before I write my senator and ask for an inquiry.

I feel just sad. I am certain that the rep I spoke with yesterday was just humoring me. The last time I contacted CSC using the RFE trick, it resulted in an immediate touch on my file. Since my call yesterday, there was not another touch. I think the guy was just making stuff up and trying to get out of the office on a Friday.

well, we already know that noone tells you the same thing and even what they DO tell you doesnt make truth...
but. I thought about this. they have to know we filed in october.
1) it happens to EVERYONE that filed in october...so what..noone filed an I-130 in oct???
2) the october date is on our NOA1..so they have to have a RECORD that we filed in october..even if it isnt our receipt date...???

I think they know we are all october and should be honored..but I think our files got put under the people that didnt have to send to the lockbox??????????

ok. so I called and did get thru to VSC and she looked up my case and was like "oh..you're a USC..so you shouldnt take long at all..." followed by..."well...they are only on july 30...so..maybe 3 or 4 more months" and yes..they have my october date and are honoring that...
THEN she said to me "but since you are a us citizen once it is approved and goes on to the NVC you should get your visa after that..."
that is not correct...

well, I know that I told you that my congressman was practically useless and couldnt care less about my life..well, my senator called him and my senator said that noone is giving up any information at all. that the VSC wasnt giving any to the congressman and the congressman wouldnt give much to my senator (guess b/c they dont know any!) and the lady told my senator "she (me) is just going to have to be patient"
and my senator said "well...exactly how much longer is she going to have to be patient"
and I thought..shew..finally someone who cares!!
he ended it with "if you dont hear something in a couple weeks let me know and I will get on it again"

good. atleast someone care for u shrewdie.. be patient for anohter 2 weeks or so.. lets see what april processin times are... im an oct 16 filer.. ur file is prob right after mine...

i was sleeping.. i got a TEXT MESSAGE on my phone from yahoo sayin i have an email from CRIS .. my heart started beating. i almost fell off my BED!! i ran to the compute and checkhed our email acct and WALA!!!!! an email from CRIS.. i checked the case status online and our i130 was apprvoed but NO ACTION on the i129f.. same date 2/24/08...

im s thankful to GOD! im sure eveyrone wil be getin their apprvoals soon!! i have no words.. to explain this..

i caled myhusband right away! and told him the good news.. hes so happy..i talked to my inlaws too they were EXCITED!!

im so excited i got to work and the first thing i did was wanted to inform yal! i wil post more later...

They said that the overflow of applications has caused them to stay in July and that the application processing will go much faster once they are done with the July batch. I got the same info from VSC. Three more months before they reach october. My prayer is that they feel what we feel. For a week. LEt them experience the feelings taht we wake up with everyday. That will get them moving Im sure of it.

I think we all know it isnt a drive-thru mcdonalds..some of us have been waiting for NOA2 for as long as it took you to have your interview according to your timeline. sometimes haveing enough faith to even have FAITH hurts

the USCIS told me that I was a Jan. filer but when I reached VSC they were showing that I was an October filer. BUT the person at my congressman's office told me that they told her I was a January filer. who knows

Is there anything special with your case that maybe dragging them along? Like did your I-130 get sent back or is there any criminal reasons? I honestly don't know why they would be taking thins long for your case without some reason behind it. I am so sorry that you have to wait so long.

there are MANY still that have been waiting longer than me.
Check out some of theother threads. Some have been waiting 200 or more days.
Its our own private Hell.

seriously bad for relationship. My wifey and I find ourselves so frustrated at times. We are imploding and exploting all at the same time. Sad ....my bro, who is also a US itizen, got married 3 years ago in Pakistan, and brought his wife here on I-130 in only 10 months. I am now into 11th month with only a stooopid receipt.... Sometimes my bro tells me how lucky he and his wife are. At that moment, I feel like punching him in the face.

That made me laugh! I am so sorry that you all have been waiting so long. It is not fair that we as spouses are trying the best we can to make our spouses legal and no one says a word edgewise, but if our spouses came over illegally, that shoud get tons of media, senators, congressmen and presidential candidates interested. It bugs me to no end how hypocritical we as a country are. We don't want illegal immigrants, but we don't want the legal ones either...

In Houston there are 38,000 criminal illegals . Big story on news. and what do they have, the USA One killed a HPD officer 2 years ago for a traffic stop.
And we pour our hearts out crying for our loved ones, which we apply for them to come here legally and all we get is Wait from USCIS. ITS NOT FAIR.
I may have to go to Algeria to live, cause my husbands student visa expires in France in January. My husband fears for my safety there.
I cant stand it anymore, what to do????? Ive never lived anywhere else, he can protect me, but not all the time. I cant leave my home. I know that is selfish, but Im more scared of losing my marriage .

I think we are all in that same boat PAris.
The reality of this situation is that regardless of how in love we are this is not what marriage was meant to be. God has not called a husband and wife to be separate and eventually if something isnt done, it will destroy our relationships.
The fact that some have been waiting over 250 days and noone seems to care or be able to help them is really scary for us all.

This isn't just a VSC problem.

Anyway, I have decided to do what my husband does. Since the senator said don't bother him again with an inquiry until August (6 months from NOA-1 date), then I don't expect anything until then. I am too tired to drive myself insane and think the NOA-2 will arrive any sooner than that.

Recent VSC touches and their effect????

It used to be (and perhaps still is) the case that touches in and of themselves were relatively meaningless. All it meant was that someone had wanded your folder, or you had called in and asked for a status update - which might generate a "system" touch. The correlation between touches and imminent approvals was tenuous at best and you could see many touches that really led to nothing. On the CSC side, however, they are having problems generating system e-mails or updating their system status once approvals come in. This is a recent problem. There were two examples of touches last week, with no update to the website or USCIS e-mail notice of approval - with the NOA2 being received in the mail. I cannot say whether the same thing is going on at the VSC, but it would be worth your while to keep an eye on the mailbox.

Your best guide is to be patient and wait for those around you to start receiving their approvals - at that point you can pretty much assume the touch is significant. Good luck!!

IF you are familiar at all with the ####### going on at VSC since most of us have been waiting (sept, oct, nov. dec.) then you know there is NO method to VSC madness and thus paying attention to those around us getting approved only falsefies hope.
I wish we were so lucky to see the system move as it is supposed to be moving.

As the comment from VSC commetning to "wait in line", what the hell is she thinking? What else can we do but wait for a process that is so screwed up, so slow, so mismanaged, and so antagonistic to the welfare of human emotions. We don't have a choice but wait and hope that someone there is doing his/her job that my processing fee and tax money is paying for!

Good luck to all and pray that someone at VSC with a brain will soon work on our petition.

VSC sucks. and noone that can do anything about it CARES.
THAT is our reality. I hate to see us all losing hope, but its really messing with us here.

Give this situation a couple of years and it could all look quite different ... it's amazing what changes a goverment can bring in overnight.

guys- we are all in a sucky position. we ALL want to be with the ones we love. Service men and women do a GREAT thing for our country. We wll know that. Its a tough argument with right stuff on both sides.
but here is a question- when a service man/woman petitions for their wife/husband.... if they are away on assignment...then the husband/wife wouldnt necessarily be together that way either would they?

either way. we ALL deserve to be with the ones we love and that is what the immigration system was created for..
too bad the very service created to serve us is destroying us.

we all have enough stress with this immigration situation without us stressing over something we can neither control OR change...lets just support each other.

Sept 07 I129-F Vermont filer approved

Well just thought I would let the Vermont filers know if they filed around my date I finally got approved. Filed Sept. 07, 2007 and got approved this morning May 13. Better late than never. Now hopefully the rest of the process will be a little quicker. Good luck guys, there is still hope for us.
