I'd suggest you type in "Military expedite" and similar into the search space underneath visajourney.com. It will give you tons of old threads were people have asked all kinds of questions regarding military expedite. Once you have found a couple who has gone through a similar situation, I'd PM them directly!

I might be wrong, but as far as I know Germany doesn't have a fiance-visa system like the US does.

From what I've heard from people who have brought their foreign spouses to Germany, they had to be already married in order to get a permanent residency in Germany for the foreign spouse. So, that would mean that only married couples can go the legal route.

Please correct me if I'm wrong,though...

I came to the US on a K1 being 7 month pregnant,and had my interview at the embassy carrying a more than visible baby-belly around and nobody at the embassy asked any questions about my pregnancy. I don't know though if this was because Frankfurt is a fairly easy embassy, but anyway.
In regards to the health insurance: my husband added me to his health insurance without any problems (Optimum Choice), they didn't consider my pregnancy as a precondition.

You definitely want to make sure that your health insurance can add your wife without any problems, though. I've seen the bills the Hospital charged for the delivery, it almost knocked me off my feet when I saw the numbers.

You really don't want to be stuck with a bill like that, so be sure that your HI will add your wife without asking questions.

Is it because I stayed over 6 months? What if I stayed just under 6 months? ( I'd have to calculate exactly, with my passport stamps).

if you had put Begium address on i-129, it will be send it ur address in belgium.
i believe , u will also have to get the Police certificate from belgium, not sure if a person must be present or not.
after it is obtained either by ur family member/representative, then could ffd pack3 to u to fill out other info then u could send it back to us embassy in belgium.

may b packet 3 from embassy could be delayed and may b u would get it after u r back to Belgium.

They send it by regular mail.

You could look up the Us embassy web site for Belgium.
most forms, u could downloaded and filled it out urself .

Hey folks, since we are on the topic, I am in a different situation and would welcome advice. In Dec 2003 I was laid off, and in January moved out and began renting my house and changed my mailing address to my brothers house. I then began traveling, starting in New Zealand (~7 weeks), Australia (3 months), Indonesia, Thailand, and more. Then in 2005 I spent a little more than a year working there as a legal resident (but still maintained my primary mailing address as my brothers house). Following this, in June 2006 I went back traveling including a month China, Thailand, Borneo and the Philippines where I met my love. In January of 2007 I moved back to the USA and moved back into my townhouse. During my travels, I had no real address - I literally would stay one or two nights and move to do/see something else. Probably more than a hundred guesthouse/hotels/hostels/mountain huts/etc.

So what do you all think? I was thinking I would list my mailing address and my address in Tokyo. In addition I planned to provide a separate attachment with an explanation (similar to the above). Has anybody else been in a similar situation? If so what did you do and did it cause any issues?

Hello VJ family,

I plan on visiting my fiancée in mid-November, However; I am also expecting NOA2 to arrive shortly after my departure to Pakistan. I will be in Pakistan until first week of January. I feel if I wait to submit the follow up paper working until I get back. It will add to my wait time and I will waste a lot of time. I do have a family member here in USA, who is willing to forward my mail to Pakistan and I would like to send the follow up from Pakistan just to save time. Please send any suggestion you may have. I need advice as to how to handle this situation.

I also don’t know what kind of paper work they will require from me and my fiancée after NOA2. A list of the paper work would be nice so I can take all the document will me to Pakistan.

I am gathering the paper work to send to my fiancée for her interview. One of the requirement is to send a letter as follows:

“Send an original letter affirming your desire to marry your fiance(e) and your continued support of the K-1 Visa. Sign and date the form. This will be similar to the letter you provided with the I-129F, but dated much closer to the interview (it will have most likely been several months since you submitted your I-129F).”

I would like to see an example of this letter. I am confused about the type of vocab to use to “affirm” my intentions to marry my fiancée.

Any information will be helpful.

Hi, I am responding to your question.

My package was sent to VSC by my Attorney on Sept 15th 2008, received at VSC Sept 23rd 08, received our NOA1 Sept 27th 08. This information is mentioned on my timeline.


Based on timeline data, your I129f may be adjudicated between February 3, 2009 and February 8, 2009*.

If this date range has passed or your application is past due per USCIS processing times then you should consider calling the USCIS to inquire on your petition. If you have been approved please update your timeline.

According to the visajourney's guide to filling k-1 visa forms, it looks like my fiancee also has to write a page or so in addition to mine, explaining how we met in the past two years. I thought it was just the petitioner who writes that??? am I wrong???


My Attorney told me that my fiance and I must submit a Declaration of Meeting, so we did.
