I was getting discouraged by the number on the scales...so my new thing right now....

I weighed on the 1st of February...I will weigh again March 1st... My MAIN focus is the exercise and just making sure I get up off my a$$ and MOVE everyday. I know my clothes are fitting better and the pants i could not get up past my thighs in December are now loose enough I can almost pull them off without undoing the button or zipper.....

ths wi be my second time on WW since 2007. when I initially began, I was over 260 nd a size 26 and I am only 5'2! I fell off the wagon so to speak dut=ring my divorce and even more so last year with the immigration stress...but I am back on track and doing well!! (23 lbs gone so far this round!!!) I broke through the 200's (JUST!!!) and my 16's are starting to get loose!!!

My short term goal is to not stress out too much and worry more about how I feel than what I weigh...(easier said than done)

nd my long term is t be the healthiest Grammie I can be by the time my daughter is due...and I would LOVE to be wearing a size 10~!~(which is do-able...I can get into a 14...I JUST CANNOT BREATHE!!)

CanadaIR1 / CR1 - Montreal Timeline to Interview

Thanks everyone! I'm so excited to go to Montreal--I get to meet my baby nephew (sister lives there).

I'm just researching my travel options right now. Do they issue the visa the same day? I'm wondering if it's a smart idea to do the interview in the morning (interview scheduled at 8:00am) and depart for the airport at 5:00pm? Or should I depart the next day?

I flew out the next day...just incase!! I didn't want to be rushing in a panick to the airport on the off chance i was late getting out of the appointment ( which it turned out I was!!!) Just my 2 cents

Wow!!! It has been a long time since I saw TM's tracker look so short! I remember when I first saw the tracker and hoped that one day my name would be on it! Now I am done, and my space is waiting to be filled by a new name!!

I want to send good luck vibes to everyone who is preparing for their interview, those who are waiting to have an interview schedualed, and to all those on their journey's!!

I will be back to check in now and then and cheer for everyone!!!

Yup. From their timeline:

Your I-130 was approved in 17 days from your NOA1 date.

Your interview took 53 days from your I-130 NOA1 date.

53 days from NOA1 to interview is unheard of...

there HAS to be either special circumstances...or perhaps the dates are wrong??? I was excited that I was finished in just under 14 months!!!

By this time I was a wreck (my husband thought I was gonna loose it, meaning cry)

The next thing she said was "I feel you have showed me enough evidence of domicile" and she turned to my husband and said "WELCOME TO THE U.S.A."
The only thing I could do was say "thank you...but you scared me"

My husband asked how long it takes to get the visa and she said 2 weeks and handed us a letter.

We again thanked her and went on our way.

Way to go Girl!!! You kept it together and did good!!!!! Congrats!!!

Actually K visa applicants have a $ 131 fee they pay at the interview. CR1/IR1 applicants have no fee to pay on interview day.

I do not recall sending 'relationship' pictures in when we first filed for the CR-1.....We sent BC' and Marriage certificats and divorce decress and that sort...but no pictures...and (forgive my ignorance) I thought we took all the proof of a bonified marriage when we did the ROC?? I don't have any with me..and most CR-1's (from the reviews I have read) are not asked..(F-129's are)..

nd as for not having the spouse at the interview..I really cannot see how it would affect the outcome as I am sure they are aware, expecially in this economy..that the cost of the immigration process not to mention the trip to Montreal and whatnot...alot of US spouses annot AFFORD to take time off and the cost of another air fare.....(totally my own opinion)

But when all is said and done I suppose I had best print off a few pics in case....like everyone else before has said...better be safe than sorry...

Problem with the travel clinic is how expensive they are. :\ Maybe I should have them give just the MMR and do the Adacel at our doctor's office.

But if TIME IS A FACTOR???
I ended up doing that....the Adacel was from my Dt..but I got the MMR from the clinic while I was in Tacoma..

You need the 5.

Definately 3 for the medical - now the passport photos for the interview - that's a gray area. So short answer - you probably won't need them but you have to take them with you anyhow.

Banging. Head. On. Desk. and they all have to be the same?? Guess how many I have...4!!! YUP!!! ONE FREAKING PIC SHORT!!!
