Also is there a shuttle bus or something to take you from the airport in Montreal to your hotel instead of an expensive taxi? Canada	IR1 / CR1 - Montreal Timeline to Interview	Hey Wyatt....If you are in the Vancouver area anyway...would it hurt to take all the paperwork you DO have and ask if they could scheduale your medical incase you find out the 15th that your interveiw is like March 2nd (which is a Tuesday) ....They MUST have a freaking idea how this will affect applicants..... Like...print out the tracking sheet and show them that there is a likeyhood that you get early MArch.... I was totally prepared to do just that...in fact I mentioned to NVC once that the office was going to be closed and she said something like, 'they were aware of that and there were provisions or adjutments or some such word' ...... But we have already done my husbands medical, back in August the reason being is at the time we thought it only took 3 months to get appointment so we figured get it done....maybe if someone from Montreal actually reads these posts then they know that already so they know we don't need all that much time. I am a little worried about not getting an email regarding his appointmet. I emailed them last monday and havent had a reply in regards to that either. So who knows the method behing the madness. I gave up trying to figure it out. Now Im just going with the flow. Its actually to our benefit that the medical is done because we don't have to worry about driving to Toronto in winter but... My husband owns his home and I have 'visited' for 5 1/2 months, but I still maintained my rental in Canada.....(can you tell we are getting closer to the end......just waiting VERY IMPATIENTLY for a letter!!!!) and does the letter go the Canadian address or US address??? We applied for the Cr-1 and most likely, I would be flying out of Seattle to Montreal ( as it is the cheaper way at the moment) We would have no issues staying a couple extra days if it meant I could get my Visa the next day....Any info on this??? Canada	Planning my POE on Sunday in Blaine WA	They're two separate border crossings. Simple as that. They're only five minutes or so away from one another, but they ARE different. Peace Arch is for passenger vehicles and RVs etc. only, while the Truck Crossing / Pacific Highway is for passenger vehicles AND commercial vehicles like buses and semis. Peace Arch is at the end of Highway 99, while the Truck Crossing is at the end of Highway 15. Both junction with the I-5 on the other side. and so what is the preferred crossing????
